The water heat coat $430 at Lowes and it was 2 hours of labor, so that is about $2,000 profit. I called the office the next day to find out why it was some much. I was told they charge a flat rate for water heat replacement and the plumber should have told me what the cost is before he did anything, He did not! The person I talked to got defensive because I was questioning the price and told me "WE HAVE TO EAT" with an attitude. I HAVE TO EAT TOO AND I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING FOOD ON YOUR PLATE! I would not have used them if knew it was going to cost that much. I would have looked for an independent plumber that charges a fair price and not used these price gouging crooks. They have a lot of five star reviews so either those people were not price gouged or in plumber terms they don't mind flushing money down the toilet. I was over charged by at least a $1,000. I'm sure the owner will reply to this review with some cookie-cutter respond. " We're sorry you feel you were over charged, we strive to have competitive rates". Yeah price gouging like the rest of the plumbing companies. My water heat sits on a shelf above my dryer and they had to send another plumber out to help take the old one down and put the new one up. I believe they charge me $200 for that, so much for that flat rate. The flat rate was too much to begin with so that adds insult to injury. The person I talker to tried to use the water pump used to drain the old water heater as an expense. It's a battery operated pump the size of a shoe box that cost around $300. That person tried to act like it's some high dollar piece of equipment that's expensive to operate. What a joke! They got me on this one. Lesson learned.

She is a senior citizen who would like to remain anonymous at this point in time. I, as the administrator of the next door group in Wilmington called... Supporting our seniors and disabled.... Was contacted by her in hopes that I can tell more people about the senior abuse she experienced in pricing. She shared with me the story she had posted on the next door app about the charge she was given for a simple installation of a toilet fill valve that she actually supplied herself. This is a simple job that most people do themselves. As a matter of fact, she told me she was going to do it herself but her husband suggested that she call a professional because of her age and he was worried about her safety God bless him. She reluctantly made the call to a company called DiMone Parliier Plumbing and Irrigation. What followed as described turned her experience with the company into my experience with the company. I couldn't allow the senior citizen overcharging to go without finding out if there was a mistake in the billing. She was given a bill for labor only labor that was only 15 minutes in length of time, the cost was $279. I extended to the owner an opportunity to save his and his companies reputation with my comment suggesting that they may have inadvertently made an accounting mistake and regretfully printed $ 279 instead of just $79 on her invoice. But rather than admit that he's been caught and just change the price to what it really should have been he chose to challenge my inquiry and say it was justified because he has " overhead expenses ". He noted that he has to pay for vehicles and insurance for his company and that's why he has to charge like he did. He almost made it sound like other companies don't pay for insurance and vehicles for their business. The difference is he has brand new vehicles with thousands and thousands of dollars worth of advertisement custom made to fit the truck, that this woman helped pay for. So if you don't mind paying an hourly price of labor of $1120.00 .. based on 15 minutes at $279 give them a call.

He just said if we would send a picture of the tank a couple of guys would be over to start removing it that afternoon. They arrived around 3:00 and Mark brought the new heater about an hour later. By 5:30 we had hot water again! All three of the men were very nice and well mannered and did a wonderful job. My brother had called two other companies and the prices were all very close, but he just really liked who he spoke with at Eastern. Sometimes you just need to go with your gut! We both highly recommend this company.
