I have used this store a couple of times now. This is my go to small business for flooring in the inland empire. Buddy's has been around for ever in the area. It was father and son operation and now Robert (the son) is running the show. I use them because the have a great selection of flooring options when you go into the showroom. If they don't have something you like they will order it for you. I personally work with Jeffrey Stark. He is a very kind and patient person. He was willing to really listen to what I was looking for and was able to point me in the right direction. There was no high pressure sales pitch which is nice. Just and easy person to work with. I definitely recommend Jeff if you are going to this store. The pricing was fantastic for the flooring options I picked. After the installation was completed my home was forever transformed in the best way possible. I have some moved out of the area but I will be continuing to use them for my flooring needs. I definitely recommend this place as they are so easy to work with. Ask for my boy Jeffrey as I know he will take good care of you. Where do I begin... Let's start with the assessment and consultation. My flooring project started about secondary to a water leak. My insurance was involved and due to the age of my floors my entire first floor needed to be replaced. Dealing with the insurance company was a slight headache but Mr Juan went to bat for us and got us the flooring we wanted/needed. We went with a luxury vinyl for its water proofing properties. We are soooo pleased. The floor installers came in and did it all in a day and a half! They were amazing! They are such a great team and work really well together!!!! We had our entire first floor done in vinyl purchased from and installed by Buddy's. Within weeks the molding was coming off our walls, the transition pieces came off and a gap opened in our kitchen. We had them out to fix the issues, but a few months ago the gap in the kitchen floor returned. I've been given the runaround ever since. For months I have called - I've tried being nice, understanding and amiable, but I've come to realize that they are not interested in making this right. read more

My husband and I went and looked at various stores before finding Buddy's. We couldn't agree on flooring but found what we liked here. We ordered our flooring and got our contract sent to us a few hours after we decided on what we liked. After we signed, the gentleman said scheduling will call and schedule. They called a day later and they were booked for another month! I was so bummed but it was worth the wait! They did 3 bedrooms for us and molding. Finished in one day. This is a long overdo review. We purchased engineered hardwood flooring a few months ago. Our salesman was Luke. We never once felt pressured to make a purchase. If anything, Luke wanted us to be sure of our choice. We love the floor. Luke went above and beyond to work with us and our budget. Our installers were excellent. Long over due review: As soon as I walked in Shawn was there making me feel as if I was at home. He asked about my project and what type of flooring I was interested in. He gave me a quick run down of the different types of flooring and showed me the samples he had in the flooring type I wanted. I found the perfect flooring (and the best price). Shawn was responsive and showed genuine interest in my project and wanted to make sure everything went well. He sent a two man crew to install (John and I can't remember the other guys name) and they were great. They worked hard, were on time, respectful, and explained everything to me during the process. We had some bumps just because of my subfloor. The team was amazing and did such a great job. I love the flooring and the extra care and attention to detail was a nice touch. Shane was very helpful in locating the same laminate flooring that I had carpet one install 5 year ago. Flooring was damaged due to water damage. Flooring was the exact same color although the locking mechanism had changed slightly by the manufacturer no fault of Carpet One(Buddy's), it was nice to not have to change out the entire house with new flooring, only had to replace master bedroom with new flooring and the hallway was done with the undamaged flooring from the master bedroom. My advice for others is to read the contract before you sign and purchase a product or service. Verbal agreements cannot be used as evidence, obviously, so therefore make sure "you get it in writing." This advice applies to any business. The contract we signed with this company stated "Install carpet over 6 lbs in Master bedroom." We were lead to believe that the '6 lbs' was referring to the padding, so we signed. After the install and discovering the problem, I made a trip back to the store and spoke with a different salesperson. He showed me the different grades of padding and when the padding came up that we thought we purchased, he told me it was called Pebble Blue. When I asked him if it came with the carpet, he said that it had to be purchased separately. So, why then were we told differently in the first place? read more

Was in the market for carpets in my livingroom and visited this place to see if I could get a quote. The salesperson seemed more interested in talking about his weekend softball team than helping us out and after we went over the quote he told us that the size of our livingroom would not include free installation. So we decided to look elsewhere for carpets. Also when we were looking at prices they had 2 different prices in two different parts of the store and when we asked them to honor it they said that the sale was over and couldn't honor it. Then he had his coworker remove all of the prices that was not against the wall (bigger samples). read more

So I sold my home and purchased another and had always had Buddy's place my carpets, tile floors etc, in the home I sold after 22 years. I decide to go with them again to have my new home totally redone with solid bamboo floors, new carpet, and new tile in the master bath. All in all at least 22k. The bamboo turned out great and so did the carpeting. The master bath tile well that's a whole different story. First Diana C., my consultant, was wonderful when it was time to measure and collect my money. Her follow up was amazing in charging my credit card so she can get paid. In June I had the bamboo floor and carpet put in. In July I decided to go with a new product they had for the master bath that was so bad the installer didn't want to continue. I do not fault Buddy's and I would suggest they know their product better since the installer said to me this was the second job with the same tile floor where the glue just comes up everywhere. Now it's August and I have to go in and pick out ceramic tile (very expensive might I add) and wait (they are very busy I guess) for weeks for the tile installer to come out and complete the job. Now God help you if you work M-F like I do because you are screwed. I had to pay for someone I trusted to be at the house because their installers only work from 9-5 M-F. I'd like that job. Finally they come out and install the tile and it looks great. Within weeks the grout starts flaking up and coming out. I call and the person who answered the phone took swift action and within a week (again weekday) a guy came out and supposedly fixed the issue. Well all he did was add the same grout over the same problem and guess what. The same problem in the same place is back. Two months ago I called Diana and told her of the issue. She wanted me to take pictures and send them to her, blah blah blah and I said no, that this was a known issue and I wanted all of the grout removed and replaced. Today is November 28th and I have yet to have my tile and grout fixed. I have never heard back from Diana and that is why I am posting this She is great to make the sale and you are screwed if you need service and contact her. Pictures? Please just get out here and fix your problem. I am disgusted with Buddy's and with Diana C and her lack of follow through, care, and integrity. Because of this and this alone I will never use Buddy's again nor ever recommend them to anyone. Avoid Diana C at all costs. Great place not only because of the great selection of floors & carpets but the great people that are there to help you. I consider myself a good judge of character and I found that both Luke and Shane a.k.a. Mr. "No Buddy" have plenty of good character and humor. They worked with us by letting us take home a full size sample to compare with our cabinets & tops, and they worked with us on the price. I spent over 2 months looking over various styles and flooring options. I visited quite a few stores during that time Shane at Buddys never pressured me to buy right away. Furthermore, he asked me to provide him with an opportunity to compete for my business should I find a floor they didn't carry away their store. Sure enough I found one and he gave me his best price. Even though Buddys wasn't the lowest price his knowledge and commitments on when I'd receive the materials was worth it to me. Everyone else seemed a bit scattered in their pricing and what it did and did not include. Do yourself a favor and give Shane an opportunity to earn your business. You won't regret it! read more

ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had this place install my carpet, HORRIBLE JOB! They had to come out and fix it b/c most of it wasn't even tacked to the strips when they left, I was able to lift the carpet straight up! As well as the carpet in the hallway was installed about an inch or more away from the tile flooring so I had over an inch of a concrete strip between the carpeting & tile! They blew me off for about a week before they came back. They carpeted OVER something in one of the bedrooms so I've got a huge lump in the carpet, which I didn't notice at first b/c I don't use that room, it's still there. NOW, my carpet is still under warranty and the carpet has completely bubbled and has come off the tack strips in most areas. I've called numerous times about having it fixed and have been told "we don't do that"!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! IT'S UNDER WARRANTY and says in their Warranty brochure "Installation-LIFE OF FLOOR" which I take as meaning "life of the warranty", well it's still under warranty!!!! Then of course, I get to leave my name & number with the "installers" and they'll get back to me.....crickets......still have not heard back from them! I have filled out the "Contact Us" on the web-site....NOTHING! Next time they hear from me, it won't be from me, it'll be from my attorney! POS business they've got running there! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR PATIENCE ON THEM, they don't give a $hit! So disgusted by crappy, shady, greedy so called neighborhood businesses! read more

I went in person to the store in Upland. I was very disappointed with this store, when I walked in an older, white salesman was on the phone. When he got off the phone, without even getting up off the chair, in a rude manner said "what is it that you want". His tone wasn't friendly, his tone was like I was there bothering him. When I inquired about material and installation pricing. I asked if the price he was quoting me was all inclusive or separate for installation, padding and carpet. His response was it's always separate pricing on everything. His response was rude and sarcastic. There was also a female salesperson that ignored us. I felt like it was discriminatory treatment, I have to question that if I were a white, older man, would I have not been treated in this manner? probably not. I will never go in there again. I don't even understand how they sell anything in that store with that type of attitude!! read more

What a great company. We rent and our landlord used this company to re carpet our home. They were very professional and were happy to work within his budget. The installers were efficient and professional also. The carpet we chose is beautiful and the consultant helped us choose the just the right color with suggestions and honest information about each sample. We changed the flooring in our house and went to several different stores but the service we received from Shane at Buddy's flooring was the deciding factor. He wasn't pushy and didn't try to oversell us, he was very helpful in helping us select different flooring and worked very hard to get us the best price possible. Their customer service was great, with the reminder calls for each appointment and the installers showed up looking very professional and in shirts that identify them with Buddy's. We installed laminate, tile and carpet and each group of installers did a great job. Of course there were some hiccups, but Shane and the Owner went out of their way to make sure everything was done properly and all of our concerns were taken care of. Even after the job was done and paid for, and we noticed a few things that needed attention, they didn't hesitate to send someone out to take care of it. This company was great and our experience was great too. I love all of our new flooring and a big thanks to Shane for helping us make the right selections. Rob, the tile guy did an amazing job. Do NOT buy anything from this store!. I purchased porcelain tile for my bathroom floors. The floor installation was totally unacceptable. It is uneven, slopes and looked like a rank amatuer tried to install his first floor tiles. By the way no spacers were used in this installation. I was told by the installer that they do not use spacers. I called my salesman , Phil, immediately after installation and told him it was unacceptable. He advised me to wait until the next day when another installer was schedued to grout the floor. When he arrived the next day, he said it was unacceptable and could not grout it because it was so uneven. He told me he would talk to his supervisor and someone would call me. No-one did. After calling Phila again , I was told that the installer said it was my fault that it was uneven and that I had stepped on the tiles which caused the tiles to shift. I did not and told him so. After 3 days and 3 times that I waited for scheduled appointments for Phil to look at it, he finally showed up. He took pictures of the floor and told me he would talk to the manager, Bill Hudson. He also said he would try to have the toilet installed so I could use the bathroom until they could order the tiles, rip out the floor and re-install. He said it would take approximately 10 days b4 it could be taken care of. This is a huge inconvenience because it is the downstairs bathroom which means that anyone downstairs must walk upstairs to use the bathroom. Well, 4 days later after not hearing anything from this great establishment I called Phil. He was surprised that Bill had not called me. He called Bill and then called me back. It was a mix up he was supposed to call me not Bill. No mention of reinstalling the toilet. The replacement tiles , I am told, have just been ordered and I will be called in about a week for installation. I have now been without a downstairs bathroom for 10 days and the best I can hope for is that I will have use of the bathroom again in a week. Total is 17days with out a bathroom. They act like they are doing me a favor to reinstall the tiles at no charge and they still claim I am to blame. read more

I had the pleasure of having my downstairs floor redone by Carpet One. They were quick in being able to install my flooring and worked with me and my schedule. Luis who installed my tile did a beautiful job. He was quick and efficient and even called me to install a day early. Cliff installed the flooring and did a magnificent job. He was suppose to show up between 9 to 11 and he was there ready to work before 9. I had heard horror stories about the dust and mess that can happen when tile is being pulled up. There was a small amount of dust as to be expected but Cliff and his crew did everything they could to minimize the mess. They also explained to me the cleaning and maintenance to help increase the life of the floor. They cleaned up my floor before they left and attached felt pads to all of the furniture making rearranging the furniture not only easy but reduced the damage to the wonderful new floor. Cliff and Robert, the manager of Carpet One, were patient and kind in answering any questions that I had. These men made my experience with Carpet One an enjoyable one.
