Well I liked the material I chose, which you can get a Home Depot installed for 1/3 the price along with sooooo many other options. I unfortunately got a bad battery on one of my shades and was told by the owner Jeremy Scott Dec. 2025 that it would take a few weeks but they would remake a new shade, (obviously I'd had them just a few weeks-months which it kept happening that I had to recharge) not normal, to have to recharge every few weeks when buying motorized shades. I've left several messages with no response it's now April 2026. Skip these overpriced "specialist " companies which somehow thinks they can charge higher prices for much less options. Go to Home Depot, they are 100% on top of it, have A LOT more options with a warranty backed by a huge corporation. read more

Unfortunately we experienced poor quality, service and responsiveness. The first blind delivered was crooked and did not fit the window. The replacement blind had a chain that was much too short which required substantial effort to open. After corresponding with the owner who agreed with my concern, there was no followup, and I attempted to reach several times without reply. When he finally did respond over 30 days later only after threatening to file a dispute with my credit card company, he claimed the product was fine which is clearly not the case. He then asked that I stop "harassing" him. I guess the customer is not always right; at least not with this company. Jeremy came out to my home and took his time going over with me the many books of shade choices. I made my selection and the order was received within 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it was not the shade that I had ordered. I called Jeremy and within a week he was at my house ready to correct the error. I again viewed multiple books with shade choices. Once the correct shade choice was made Jeremy placed order. When it was received it was perfect. Jeremy never questioned the error or told me that I had to take the wrong shade. Today I had shutters and blinds installed in most windows of my 2 story home by Eric and Stacey. Eric's measurements were right on and the installation was perfect. The shutters are amazing. I also have a skylight in the master bedroom dressing area that is way too much light for us in the morning and today a battery powered honeycomb shade was installed and voila!.. no more sun in the early morning hours. And get this, the batteries are rechargeable by the solar tube hidden within the shade's panel. It operates by remote control and the batteries are estimated to last about 2 1/2 years! So 9 windows with Plantation Shutters, One Skylight Electric Shade and One Blind over the Kitchen Sink. All done to perfection and I couldn't be happier. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! complete scam, i requested plantation shutters they installed cheap cheap plastic quality blinds you could get at walmart for $100-150 each and install yourself but they charge you 3x that. Delayed on order, poor communication, horrible product no demos. Asked to replace for what i wanted I got an email saying they would do it for a $400 credit remove the current blinds and want another near $3000. this is ridiculous its a small outsourced franchised operation and its clear they have a shoe string budget and cannot correct their own error this is a huge regret. i deal w vendors an contractors daily this was the worst. read more

In the middle of a home renovation and this is the one project that went smoothly. Initial visit for measuring and estimate was so easy. Eric was very accommodating in my wanting to see the color samples one more time before making my final decision on the color. What an awful company! I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are so rude and took advantage of my husband and I. The product was awful and nothing like they showed us at the estimate. The owner was so rude when I was showing him the paint chipping off the shutters. He took them off and threw them against my wall. He than started taking the rest off and began throwing those. I should have wrote this review months ago. Eric is a great guy. We moved into a house with cheap broken wooden blinds. We have a toddler and wanted to get cordless blinds throughout the house and blackout upstairs in the bedrooms. Eric came and walked through options, took measurements, gave us a quote in a timely fashion. We met with a couple of other companies, no one had the professionalism like Eric. I had more questions and Eric even stopped back by so I could look again at some samples, I was hesitant based on the costs and thought about doing some now, some later but Eric worked magic and gave us exactly what we wanted at the price we could afford. Eric has been installing blinds for my family, my parents, and my sister's family for the last 6 years. We were newcomers to Valencia, and Budget Blinds was referred to my parents by a neighbor. They have never had to look anywhere else, and neither have I! Eric is always so helpful - he installed blinds for every single window in my parents' new home, and when my (former) husband and I bought a house early last year, he was the only person I thought to call. Having used them for so many years now, problems have arisen, and they have always been handled with a positive attitude. There was one time that a window shade in my parents' home was ruined (a friend had tripped and spilled red wine on the shade and also the carpet below), and Eric replaced the shade for free - no questions asked - and even offered to get the stain out of the carpet at no charge! Eric did the blinds for my entire home over 7 years ago. I called him because a couple of parts on two blinds (the tension part that holds the string, and the rod that opens and closes the blinds) had broken. He found my original order so he could figure out which system parts were needed and within a day or two offered to come out to fix my blinds (we are talking about very minor parts, probably not costing more than $20-$30 in total). When he came out, we looked at a couple of the blinds that we had in the kitchen area, and they had suffered deterioration because they were made of a sort of cloth material (not a good choice on our part for the kitchen area). His service has always been so professional, reasonably priced, and timely, that we decided to get new blinds for the two windows (made of a more-suitable material for kitchen environments). He came out and installed them himself a few days later, and they are absolutely gorgeous! We also changed a couple of old, regular blinds in the living and dining room areas for shutters. The shutters took a bit longer to manufacture, but they were installed yesterday morning by a very skilled installed called Efrain.
