I saw this business had great reviews so I decided to go with them. I've never hired a cleaning company before so maybe I wasn't clear about what I wanted but it seemed pretty straight forward. I purchase a newly renovated home in Lynnwood at the beginning of September and I hired this company to come in a just wipe down all surfaces, dust, clean bathrooms. The house is empty except a couch and a couple pieces of bedroom furniture. It is newly renovated and had been vacant so I felt like it was a pretty easy job. I asked them to clear the cobwebs in corners, clean bathrooms, dust and wiped down kitchen surfaces, sanitize, and clean the crumbs/stickiness in kitchen cabinets/ drawers. Alex was the woman I spoke to on the phone who gave me a price estimate and set up my appointment. She was very nice, helpful and professional. I left work on the day of my appointment to come to let the two ladies in, returned to work, and came back from work two hours later when they had finished. They were waiting outside when I arrived and I paid $160 and tipped $15 each. I went into the house to take a look and luckily they hadn't left the driveway yet because there was spray foam clear that had not been wiped from the front of the oven. (No problem one lady came in and wiped it off.) Things looked fine but I was in a rush to get back to work so I left without really checking. Now that I am finally moving in I am discovering that it seems as though NONE of the kitchen cabinets or drawers were cleaned. There are crumbs, dust and sticky that I'm finding and I'm having to wipe down everything! Which would not be a big deal had I not paid someone to come in and do it first. There are still some cobwebs. This was on 9/8 and now that all my stuff is in the house and I'm unpacking it seems a bit too late to call for them to come back. I'm just very upset that this job was NOT complete and I have no idea what 2 people spent 2 hours doing in a totally vacant 1500 square foot house. Hired this company based on a recommendation from my property management company for a move out cleaning. An employee came for an appraisal and quoted me at $400-$650 for a two bedroom 900 sq ft unit. I felt this appraisal was super broad but chose them because of the recommendation and they told me the house was in good shape (cleaner than average) and it shouldn't be price at the higher end unless they ran into anything really dirty. I was not provided an arrival time until 6PM the night before and they told me they would be there at 6:30am.... I no longer lived in the unit so this was a hassle. I texted the cleaner multiple times asking for an update and never received a response. I finally decided to go back to the unit to check it out. When I arrived, all the doors were unlocked and no one was there. This was alarming because this unit has had squatters before and our unit is right on a busy street. I didn't receive the bill until a week later and once opening it I was shocked to see we were charged over the maximum estimate. The bill was not itemized and did not provide an explanation as to why it costed that much. Only response I got from the owner was that the property management company (Maple Leaf) has a strict cleaning list and they charge the maximum in case they have to come back to clean more. 1. I don't see why that is my problem as a paying customer. 2. They did not disclose to me that they always charge the maximum in case they need to return beforehand. If I had known they would charge upwards of $700 for the cleaning, I would have gone with a different company. Feels like the estimate was just a way to secure the customer. OVERALL: I felt like they planned on charging me the maximum price beforehand and that the estimate was just a sales tactic. The bill was nonspecific and feels unprofessional. I normally keep my place clean and have never used home cleaning before. However, my bathroom has become very dirty and I spent tons of money on store-bought cleaning products (even coke!) but nothing removes the bathroom stains. I started looking through business on yelp. Budget Cleaning Services came as a top of my list because they offer one-time cleaning service. There are some other good ones but they only serve monthly/regular cleaning. I called on a weekend evening thinking I would leave a voicemail instead since I didn't expect anyone to pick up the call. To my surprise, someone (her name is Alex?) picked up my call. I asked for an estimate and set a date and time after talking more about what I needed help with. She was even going to re-schedule another regular customer to accomodate my busy schedule. I was pretty impressed. The day before my appointment, I thought to myself I should give her a call just to confirm the appointment. Before I was able to do so, I actually got a call from her and was asked if the appointment was still on. During the day of my appointment, they arrived right on time (if not a little earlier). I showed them the problem I had and they started working immediately. I didn't expect there would be 3 of them showing up. They were super fast. They were pretty thorough and went above and beyond of what I was looking for. I don't know how they did it but my bathroom looks pretty clean now. They finished cleaning within 30 minutes. I will definitely consider using them again in the future if necessary and recommend this business to others too. read more

We have been working with Alex and her crew for over 7 years. As of the last year or so since Alex no longer accompanies her cleaning crew; the cleaning performance has greatly diminished! We have seen areas in our home that have dust in areas that should have been cleaned during a normal cleaning, grime on floors and base boards, places in the bathroom that weren't touched, excess cleaning products on surfaces, and areas that haven't been vacuumed. Her crew seems to be in a hurry to get to the next job rather than servicing the current customer. The poorest customer service trait the company now has is not showing up. There have been numerous occasions within the last six months she says her crew will show up and never does. Or if they do show up they are several hours late and rush through the cleaning process. It appears it's not about customer service or cleanness at all! Rather how fast they can get in and out! We plan on hiring new cleaners and not ever recommending Budget Cleaning. They have also raised prices that don't match the quality of their work. Remember you get what you pay for and with Budget Cleaning it's a rush job with very subpar customer service! read more

When I asked for the cost of having someone come to my place of business to wash my windows, the woman responded, "We don't DO just windows." So I said, ok, and hung up. I hired budget cleaning to clean my home based on their yelp reviews. I was so happy that they did such a great job and did not disappoint. I scheduled Alex and her team in advance so that I would be able to pick the day and time that worked best for me. Even though there was some miscommunication regarding the time, when I called a day before the time had been set to an hour earlier that planned, it worked out fine for me still. So I would just suggest double checking the time the day before just in case. Alex and her teammate came to my new home to do a move in cleaning. I was a little worried about there only being 2 people to deep clean a 1800sqft home. But there was no need to worry at all. The house was uncleaned by the previous owners and clumps of dog hair was visible in spots. There was also the gross oven, fridge, floors, counters, bathrooms...etc. There were even dead bugs on the window sills and overall not a home that I felt comfortable in. I am a great home cleaner myself for my family so I know that when I want a spotless home I mean spotless. Alex and her teammate did an exceptional, fantastic, I can't believe this home must be the cleanest home ever kind of job! I have never seen such impeccable, detailed, thorough, and just a superb job all around. Every nook and cranny, everything just everything was the cleanest I have ever seen. I found Budget Cleaning by chance when using Yelp for the first time, and I am so glad I did! My wife and I recently where in the process of moving out of our apartment, and ran into some problems getting out by the due date. Because of those delays, we came up short on the time we had to clean, and it was obvious we would need help. I contacted Budget and my call was answered immediately. We set up the appointment for the cleaning, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quoted price. Extremely reasonable for what they said they would accomplish. So far, so good! A few days later, we ran into additional challenges getting the place ready for them to come in and clean. So the night before they where to arrive, I called and asked if they could push out the date another 2 days. After checking, they assured us that would not be a problem, and rescheduled the appointment. I was truly surprised at their flexibility, as you don't find that much anymore. At the appointed date and time they came and got straight to work. Now I could go into great detail about what they did, but rather I will get right to the point: They did a FANSTATIC job!!! Not only did they clean the places one would expect, but they cleaned the areas that I thought a cleaning service would skip such as the fireplace, microwave, washer and dryer, etc. Further, they did it efficiently, quickly, and with smiles! But, there is more.... We had one bathroom that could not be cleaned out before they arrived, and hoped they may be able to come back and clean it a few days later. We where worried they would not be able to accommodate it, but we where wrong - it was no problem! They came again right on time and did a bang-up job. Amazing. I must add that I rarely (if ever) write about companies and their customer service skills and performance, but the experience we had with Budget was nothing less than phenomenal! I am getting emails to review them, but keep in mind this review is about a year old... Alex was nice and pleasant, I definitely will attest to that. The biggest problem I had with them was their timing. It was infuriating for them to call and try to come earlier or at a different time than I have scheduled. It would benefit a lot for them to plan better there. On top of wanting different times than I had scheduled, they were never on time to clean our house! I think the closest to the scheduled time I had they were about 10 minutes late. The other times I had to call and go through Alex almost every week to find out they were in traffic or still at another house, so it was frustrating not to be communicated with when you're going to be 25-45 minutes late. Granted, I am very particular about time and was moreso back then. Their cleaning was okay. It started off much better than a few months later when I finally cancelled. Their attention to detail and level of cleanliness went down significantly and I didn't feel like I was getting as much as I was paying for anymore. My husband and I both noticed it, so it wasn't just me. From my experience, I wouldn't say don't hire, but I would say keep that stuff in mind if you do. read more

Absolutely terrible. We stepped out of the house while they were supposed to be cleaning and they CLEARLY took advantage of the situation, choosing to do very little real cleaning. I would like to think that you can trust people to do a good job without watching them like hawks, but apparently that is not the case here. By the time we got home and looked our place over and noticed what a terrible job they had done, they only made the situation worse. They scheduled a follow up appointment to actually do the cleaning they were supposed to do the first time and then they totally flaked. They never called to say they were going to be late or couldn't make it, they just chose not to show up. And when we finally got a hold of them, they made up an excuse about their car breaking down in a place outside of cell coverage so they couldn't call for almost three hours. And then they made essentially no offer to try to rectify everything after this second terrible episode of terrible service. I hired Budget Cleaning Services for a "Move Out" cleaning. I was not impressed by the level of cleaning or thoroughness. It seemed like a very rushed job. The floor where they had mopped was still dirty, spots still in the microwave, streaks on the windows and the garage floor was unswept (which I was told over the phone would be completed). Based on the price I expected a professional job. I wish I had just saved my money and done it myself or hired someone else. Also, after I complained they told me someone would come back to fix these issues but I don't think anyone ever did (or at least the garage never got swept!). She was very professional, thorough, and answered all my questions. I asked for an estimate and we arranged a time for her to come over and give me a written estimate. I hired her and we set up a date for cleaning. She came on time and with a crew. She then added more crew as the cleaning progressed to help finish. They did an AWESOME job.
