This place is disgusting the staff have no concept of people sleeping during the day nor do they…read morecare they will walk in on you even with a disturb sign on your door will aslo call you to clean your room while sleeping..the accuse the customers of smoking in their rooms just to make a quick buck my husband was disturbed several times WHILE SLEEPING..just to come and check that he wasnt smoking... electrical is a joke and a fire hazard. This place is horrible I would take my money else where

I stayed here to prove a point that I could stay in an economy hotel like a trooper to save $ for…read morethe company and I was wrong. It came close to being fine, but for the business traveler, it missed the mark. Location: I actually liked the location. It was literally right next to the Hy-Vee which has a Caribou coffee and is a grocery store and just a 1/2 mile away from a star bucks, walmart , Culver's butter burger ( which has great custard... I do not eat meat let alone buttered meat) and BW3's. Room: My room was really OK, it did have a bit of a strange disenfectant scent to it , which made me say "at least it's clean" . but it was not awful. The room was clean. The air conditioner was very noisy all night though and it was hard to fall and stay asleep due to it. ( business traveler negative) Internet was free, TV was fine, bed was fine as far as comfort. Did have that scratchy polyester comforter thing - yuck! The iron was a negative. I have to wear a suit so having to ask for an iron at the front desk vs. just having one in your room seemed like an extra step and the ironing board was one of those minis... what a pain. The iron itself had that black gummy stuff all over it ( for a $200 suit- not good) The staff were very helpful, however, and were quick to exchange it. They did have a smoking area in the back, but I was shocked to find that the back door was wide open and propped after 10PM.... not safe in my opinion, for a woman traveling alone. Other than that , this place was fine except my biggest complaint: I would have given it 3 stars if not for the fruit flies. I went down for the free little breakfast and the orange juice machine, garbage and breakfast area were literally swarmed with fruit flies. GROSS . They fell in my cup. I just moved on, went to theHy-Vee and paid for a breakfast bar. Bottom line, If I were just stopping in Watertown for the night, on the way to somewhere, or on a casual business trip this place is fine. As a business traveler in a suit who has to impress their boss and anesthesiologists in the morning- no.

Pool looked dirareah green, and had poop chunks floating. Got yelled at as soon as I walked in…read more I had high hopes for the Ramkota Hotel based on its reputation, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short. The room felt outdated and wasn't as clean as I would expect from a hotel in this price range. The carpets looked worn, and there was a noticeable musty smell upon entering the room. Customer service was inconsistent--some staff were helpful, while others seemed uninterested or overwhelmed. The amenities also left much to be desired. The pool area, which is supposedly a highlight, was overcrowded and not well-maintained during my visit. The worst part was the noise. Thin walls and loud hallway traffic made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Couldn't get into the blankets about punched myself in the face trying to get into my bed Overall, this hotel needs serious updates and better attention to cleanliness and customer service. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless improvements are made. Breakfast gave me hard waffles.

The absolute worst hotel room I have stayed in during my 60 years. Like a movie set out of a movie…read morewhere the serial killer breaks the door down and slaughters everyone inside. The floor is uneven, the beds are atrocious, the door lock is broken - as are many of them- with a typed label on it telling you to "lift the handle up" as an alternative to fixing the lock. The heater/cooling unit will not shut off, but don't worry at least there are inadequate blankets to keep you warm. The blue LED clock on the microwave isn't a problem until you shut off the lights. THEN you see the blue light is actually a laser cannon from Star Wars and will instantly detach your retinas and remove that pesky tattoo you've had regrets about most of your life. All this blue light even though the concourse lights shine in brightly under the door, around the window blinds. 8:00 in the morning and there is no coffee in the place. What an utter disappointment. I could see if it were in a 3rd world country, but this is a decent city. Why would anyone ever stay here? The up side? The room is large enough to accommodate a 'full' bed with room to spare. Apologies to my wife for rolling over on her multiple times while trying to get comfortable on the center-sloping contraption with the comfort rating of an army cot. Please bulldoze this place and build a prison. It would be more comfortable.
