I did not use this business but I still had a 5-star experience. I emailed Mark one early evening, through Yelp. He responded 10 minutes later and offered up his cell# for direct communication or texting. We talked about costs and services and he explained what a master inspector entailed (additional training and certification)! My reason for seeking out several other appraisers was to vet the one recommended by my real estate agent (also highly rated). It turned out that everything was on the level and in the same price ballpark so I opted to honor my agent's referral. Had I not had a matching equivalent I would have gone with Mark and Pride Property, hands down. Their full inspection, including infra red (strongly recommended additional "search" behind the walls, ceilings, and floors) was similar at around $600 (i.e., reasonable). We have a building constructed of Rastra, which has had problems with leaks for nine years now. I mean SERIOUS PROBLEMS, as in two inches of water! Our architect and builder could not find the source of the problem. I called Mark Timpani out of desperation more than anything. He and his son came over, did a thorough inspection, including using an infrared scanner, and identified our problem areas. He also provided me with reliable contractors I'd need for repairs and sent me information so I could grasp what was really going on. These guys are really pros. After purchasing 5 houses I know what to expect with a home inspection report. Based on excellent ratings, I chose to work with Pride Property. Mark spent approx. 2 hours at the property I am considering purchasing. I asked at one point if I should walk around with him but was denied this request. I recall walking with at least two of my previous inspectors. Mark let me know when he was finished and we met inside the house to go over his notes. I got the impression that Mark was a bit scattered-brained when he was reviewing his notes because there was some ambiguity. There were a few things that I asked for clarification on but was told everything would be in the final report. I anxiously waited and received the report a couple days later. Obviously, any concerns I had now would have to be addressed through another scheduled visit with the current homeowner, which was not easily done. The fee was $609. Seemed high to me but there were some out-buildings which were also inspected. Overall, probably a fair price. In hindsight I wished I would have pressed harder to walk the property with Mark to get a better feel for the discrepancies listed. read more

I reached out to Mark at Pride Property Inspections to check out one of my rental properties that had been vacant for some time. I was seeking an objective assessment, basically a good health check, of the house. Mark is a licensed inspector who did a very thorough evaluation of the home. He confirmed the appointment and arrived on time. He walked me through the house and pointed out the items of concern. He followed up, within the same day, sending me a 50+ page document of pictures and findings. Each item/area evaluated had varying levels of assessment so I knew what needed to be fixed now and what items would need to be addressed later. I was able to create a punch list of "must do" items from the summary provided at the end of the report. If you want an objective based evaluation done by a licensed professional, I'd highly recommend Mark and Pride Property Inspections to perform a general health check on your current home or on a future purchase. read more
