AWFUL!!! OMG DO NOT HIRE them!! They are terrible at what they do. A tree almost fell on my home!! They Even Cut a tree down that was meant not to be cut down. It was gorgeous. I loved that tree. Now it can't be un-done!! Very rude and did not care or listen. PLEASE go elsewhere!! they are a disaster!! Never used the company but had to deal with an employee driving their truck and blowing through a detour and proceed to curse me out when I had the right of way an he decided to blow around a detour and block traffic on a main road. Your employees are a reflection of your company at all times... will NEVER call you for a job. And judging by the other reviews on here, I can see why you were so angry. read more

As a person who at times trusts others too much, I feel I've been scammed by Bill Tree, AKA Bill Mackros. I called him about 3 weeks ago to remove some logs from my front lawn and grind 2 stumps remaining from the storm in May. He came out the next evening and gave me a price of $ 1,500.00 to remove 2 stumps and logs in my yard, along with cutting down 2 large stumps and grinding the stumps and roots. He showed up the next day with his grinding machine and ground 2 stumps, demanding $ 800 and promising to come back and remove the logs on my front lawn. Well, he has never come back and he has not returned my many calls, which is, in turn, causing me great stress. As a disabled senior citizen with very severe COPD, stress is the last thing I need. At this point, I really have no choice but to get in touch with the senior helpline as he cashed the check, of which I have a copy, and I fear he will never complete the job he promised to do with excellence. Having my grandson remove some of the wood chips from the stump in front of my yard, he found the stump was not completely ground down, and the root on the street side was at least a foot above the surrounding ground. This I believe is not expert work. The stump in the backyard he said he couldn't grind down all the way because there was a huge rock that extended well into the ground. My grandson kicked this humongous rock and it moved! It seems the rock was held in the ground by 2 roots that circled over the top, pushing one root outwards revealed a rock that couldn't have weighed more than 20 pounds, which my grandson, a discus thrower on his high school team simply tossed this gigantic boulder away. I don't see how one commenter could praise Bill to the heavens unless he is a friend or relative I wouldn't recommend this company, because on the job he didn't complete. I am writing this review to detail a recent negative experience with Bill Makros and his company (Budget Tree & Stump Removal) when trying to get tree/stump work done at my home this past Saturday (4/10/21). After coming out to give estimate for the job and committing to work upon my callback, he was a very poor communicator as to when the work would be scheduled despite several conversations stating it would be done "sometime" last week. After several calls/texts, he called me on Friday morning and stated they would be doing the job the next day and dropping off equipment that afternoon. I felt reassured when the equipment was indeed placed on my property, but was blindsided when early Saturday morning, Bill and his crew arrived, not to do the job, but instead removed equipment from my yard without any explanation. Bill, present throughout all this, refused to speak with me as his crew removed the equipment. He said he'd be back in a minute to explain why he left his equipment on my property overnight and was now leaving having done no work whatsoever, but Bill NEVER returned and did not respond to my attempts to contact him the rest of that day. As with any homeowner, I was depending upon Bill to follow through with the job he had quoted in the time frame he had stated, and had set aside time and resources in accordance with this arrangement. Shame on you! you took advantage of the elderly! My parents had many trees down in their yard from the recent storm. One tree fell on there back porch and landed slightly on the house. "Budget" Tree came, moved the tree to the lawn for $1,800.00! Talk about price gouging! He said he would be back to take it away, guess what he never came back! They paid another service to take it away when they cleaned up all the other trees that were down. read more
