There trucks are just newer better and provide a comfortable ride after moving 8-10 hours it's a comfort you feel and will appreciate on the way to unload the truck lol. Customer service is prompt and will answer usually on the first ring. So call them you won't regret it.

Instead I've dealt with erroneous information, late notice letters, site manager not returning any of my calls, and even a prelien notice although my form of payment was on file for autopay (they had systems issues). This all took place in less than a month. I have many options of storage in the area. Price was not a factor but brand trust and servwas. I have since moved out and would never choose or recommend U-Haul for storage to anyone! When Carolina, the site manager at the location on Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta Ca, finally bothered herself to get on a call with me, she showed no empathy for the mistakes made. I asked her to ensure a letter in writing is mailed that the pre-lien notice was sent in error and my account is up to date. All I got was a billing statement with a zero balance. If your system can bother me with erroneous pre lien notices you can bother yourself with sending me the same written notice it's an error and is resolved. I had hoped to get that in writing since I wasted more of my time writing a review on their business site. Nope! I moved out the same day that I finally got to speak with Carolina primarily for her lack of care or concern. If she would have apologized and assured me that I would have no further troubles with their system not charging my autopay, I might have given them a chance. However, she did not even bother to care when I mentioned I would most likely move out due to all the issues in less than 3 weeks. I moved out same day and still was not able to get any letter of apology or statement that my account was paid in full, moved out, and no lien was placed- even though I was told their EA-- whatever that is- would email me. Throughout this ordeal the staff was kind, courteous and showed more concern than the site manager- it appears they're used to making up for system, corporate, and management issues. This review, and google review were my next options and more importantly word of mouth! To help an interested party be aware of getting in contract with U-Haul for storage on Jefferson. I called Friday 8/9 to reserve a truck for the next day, person on the phone was very nice, seemed…read moreto know what they were doind and I felt great about the transaction so far. I had a tight window for making a single trip from Temecula to Oceanside and back so I did not need any delays. When I arrived at the Cube Smart 10 minutes before pick-up time where I was to pick up the truck I was informed that there were no trucks there. The lady called to wherever the trucks come from to see if it was on the way. She was told there was no truck being delivered. The reason was that my reservation was made less than 24 hours before. (I made the reservation at 12:30 the previous day, this was an undisclosed term). I was offered a truck in San Marcos. Needless to say I was very unhappy. While the lady at Cube Smart was trying to help me I was making other calls and secured a rental at Uhaul in old town. By then they had found a truck in Murrieta but I didn't have time to go that far and frankly no longer wanted to do business with Penske. I have NO issue with the Cube Smart people, they only accomidate the rental pick up and drop off process. When I called Penske management to issue a complaint, the manager was aware of the situation and apologized but also tried to argue with me about the alternative options they offered which I found insulting. He asked who made the arrangements, I said I did not know but there should be a way to find out on their side. His final word was that he would try to find said person and re-train as necessary and I should contact him directly when I need another rental for a 10% discount. I told him I have no confidence in the company and I will stick with Uhaul in the future.
