My child attended this school for several yrs. Initially when my child attended Ryu's Martial Arts…read morethe teenage instructor were professional, fair and disciplined. I understand it is not a perfect world and it goes without saying that teenagers are undeveloped adults. The instructors that initially instructed my child were not saints, occasionally the instructors challenged each other and said some inappropriate things to one another. I never heard or witnessed these teenage instructors bullying nine yr. olds. It was not in their nature they were raised properly. This all changed. As time passed a new wave of teenage instructors filled in the position of the old guard. The new wave of teenage instructors were not as fair, they were not as disciplined and they were far from professional. The environment changed from the teenage instructors occasionally challenging one another too an environment of teenage instructors that took pleasure in frequently criticizing one another. The straw that finally broke the camels back was an incident where a teenage instructor belittled and bullied my son in front of the other teenage instructors. The bullying incident towards my nine yr. old son by the disrespectful teenager instructor incident was beyond cruel. It was malicious and showed a lack of civility. If you want your kids to be a punching bag for some teenage instructors that derive great pleasure on picking on children send them to Rya's Martial Arts.

Well! Where do I begin! Both my children have been going there for almost a year now. At the end of…read moremy contract, we won't be going back. The owner's wife, Kim, is a piece of work! Please let me explain why I say this. I'm a soon to be a single mom. I'm 51 years old with 2 young children (7 and 9), raising them by myself. For 2 years I had a medical issue with my right kidney and bladder. Just recently I had to take a cysistoscopy, ultrasound and a tomography (CAT Scan). A mass appeared on my right kidney and the doctor wanted to do further testing. Ryu Martial Arts was having their annual picnic is September and everyone signed up to go. I placed my name next to a list of things the parents volunteered to bring. I had to work the day of the picnic so both my sisters took my children. I mistakenly brought forks but brought cupcakes, which I originally placed my name next to chips, dessert and something else. Kim was irated and she was complaining (out loud in front of other parents) that I'm "all over the place" and she "knows single mothers who are more focus" than I was. My question is, am I supposed to tell this woman my personal business? Does she have a clue that EVERYBODY'S situation is NOT the same? I'm struggling financially. On top of that the timing of purchasing the items for the picnic was when I was told about the mass on my kidney. In the mean time I'm worried about my children and my health. Does this woman have a clue that the world is not perfect? At least I brought something!! My God! REALLY???? Seriously?? I wasn't there but from what I heard the way she was reacting, I might have ruined the picnic! I really hope she reads this because I'm NOT a child, I don't want to confront her because I would really curse her out!!! This is the sole reason why I'm NOT renewing my contract with her!! Her husband is a wonderful man. His wife is VERY, VERY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! If she does this with me, she will do it with you!!

This gym is a SCAM! Now that I have your attention, read carefully…read more This MMA gym is clean-ish. The people running the gym claim to sterilize the mats once a day at least, but I have never seen it happen. Will you learn martial arts by attending the classes? Yes, definitely- but only on the days that they decide are good days to run the classes. That's right! You pay, often what can be top dollar, for minimal amounts of classes- AND even THEN do they take away classes regularly from the schedule. Classes were canceled MULTIPLE times alone this past week- including tonight's boxing. There is another catch! Often the classes are too large for any sort of individualized attention. If you join this gym, you might find yourself struggling to grow for that reason alone. They try to price discriminate between customers. If you pay by card, make sure the gym isn't charging you fees you should not be paying at that you are paying your monthly membership only as your contract says you should be. You cannot expect them to resolve this over the phone. You will need to go into the office to resolve such a matter. When you are waiting for a fee they unrightully charged you to be reversed, have your card company block any more charges by Alpha Omega so that they don't charge you again- WHILE PROMISING TO FIX IT- as they have done with others. Now that you have read this review, ask yourself: "Is it worth it to possibly learn a little martial arts over the course of a long time, while not only paying a lot of money for classes that are frequently being canceled or because the service being provided simply being poor service, but also while having to regularly review your bank statements in order to make sure they aren't stealing money from you like they do with everyone else?"
