Disappointing signage
Jenny M.

My husband and I are visiting SLO from San Diego. We specifically planned to come to this store to purchase gifts for family and friends, and were so disappointed to see this note only a couple hours after the store opened. As we stood outside, two female employees left the store together and explained something important came up as they walked down the street together. Not a "sure, go ahead and browse a few minutes" before heading out. Just back in an hour, have a great day! Sorely disappointed in the absolute disregard for customers who want to visit and support local businesses. I hope the owner is aware of this, as I doubt we are the only ones who have experienced this lack of customer service.

a great experience with the buen día coffee shop! the people working were extremely nice and very informative when it came down to their speciality menu! they answered every question we had especially since they do not have any syrups so no vanilla lattes here. they did have a great selection with their specialty menu and the latte was amazingly done! the espresso was very good and not burnt tasting ! overall great experience.

Pretty cool store with a bunch of local prints/arts!! I really like how most of the prints here are eco-friendly and really unique. The prints are great souvenirs if you're visiting SLO or want to bring something back as a gift! On the left side of the building is also a cool stairway that goes straight to downtown SLO. It was a pretty easy and scenic promenade to go through!

Delicious coffee made with natural ingredients and served by a very friendly staff. The perfect spot for a great cup of coffee!

My print. The pictures don't do the colors justice. They print in-house!

This place is sooo inviting. They have many fabulous prints that truly capture California love. What a gem! I can't wait to hang my print at home after my first visit to Morro. They've also got other local products and you can access their website in-store to view their entire catalogue.

What a fun and friendly staff! We stumbled on this little gem while waiting for our favorite quilt store to open. Serendipity!

A beautiful free and fun experience if spending the day in down town SLO…read more They had just enough exhibits and it was clean with great AC if it's warm out. We loved the Lake Valley creative video art by Rachel Rose. It has a beautiful touching story that all of us enjoyed.

Alicia Adamerovich's Conundrums is what you might call surreal, but the artist preferred abstract. The exhibit is a blend of traditional paintings on canvas to a variety of sculptures that have no explanation but the title and your imagination that asks you to think your own meaning up while you sit with it. The more traditional, but impressionist exhibit is Peter Krashes' Passage Through. Krashes combines new and old works to urban images that are often overlooked. The works also show the actions that help shape a neighborhood. My favorite was either Public Seedbomb or Cup on a Fence. Free. I thought it was nice, but don't expect to be blown away. The exhibits were interesting and the support staff were very kind. They answered questions, and were very proud of their little museum. If you have time, why wouldn't you stop to see what's in there. Check it out.

First off -- a little bio intro about me!…read more Ever since I was in grade school my mom introduced rock and mineral shows to me. Back in 1994 I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to the best rock show in the US, which is in Tuscon, AZ. Yup! It's a pretty big deal! Also I recall going to science summer camp and studying geology was by far my favourite. (NB: If you haven't already noticed, I'm kind of a nerd lol) With that said, I LOVE rock shops especially when they throw in the spiritual/agnostic/"new age" elements such as smudging and candles. Another side note -- San Luis Obispo has always been a family vacation spot for me since I was very little. DTSLO was one of my favorites. The sad thing is I never knew this shop was here! Apparently they have been there for over 10 years. Maybe even 15 years... *mind blown* They did such an amazing job to make the shop eye catching and have a great vibe. The energy there was amazing. My body naturally walked towards this one case and of course I see rainbow moon. It is funny. I never find moonstone when I am actually looking for it. I find it when I am not on the hunt for it! That day I got a beautiful rainbow moonstone meditation bead bracelet, a smudge stick and abalone shell. I wish I could have bought more but I had to watch my spending since I already went all out on food and beverage that weekend lol! Bonus was I got to meet one of the owners -- Christine. She was so wonderful and took great care of me. Seriously, I had such awesome vibes at that shop and my chi was at peace and balanced. I will definitely be back!
