Just returned from our first meal at this most excellent restaurant. We placed our order at the register and our food was ready in 10 minutes, maybe a little less. We liked the open kitchen environment. The staff seemed happy, the music added to the sense of authenticity of this establishment. We had, tofu taco, spinach and garlic taco and east/west burrito with seitan. Everything was delicious! The veggies were crisp and fresh. The quantity of the stuffing was considerable. The tofu and seitan were excellent. We're in town once a week six months out of the year and will be back before long. We rate it 6 Stars out of 5! read more

Family business that's been around for years!! I remember when they opened in Amherst many years ago. This was a go-to spot and they're burritos still don't disappoint. When I am in the area visiting, I make it a point to stop in for a burrito. They are stuffed with rice, beans, veggies and toppings of choice! Sour cream, guac, yogurt, salsa! The list goes on. I ordered a veggie burrito and two tacos. I had not ordered tacos before and they weren't small where you'd need to order a handful. The little tacos were stuffed with ingredients! Their chips are great as well. So, if you like chips and dip.. go for it!! I highly recommend stopping in and trying an item from their menu if you haven't already. If you have not been to this location, they are located in a plaza on the main road. There's plenty of parking. The restaurant itself has ample seating and is very clean. This was a solid spot for lunch. We were hungry and had done some grocery shopping in the area and stopped in here. They have a kiosk for easy ordering, so I did that while my friend ordered at the counter. I chose to get the chicken burrito with rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, chipotle sour cream, grilled corn and hot sauce. They also had a few hot sauces at the bar so I took a few home with me. The burrito was huge! It definitely filled me up. I think the only thing I would've changed is the type of rice, it was like a yellow and I prefer a basmati/jasmine which I saw they had in a different burrito so I should've swapped it. They always get large orders right and best thing ever, they write the orders on the containers which makes for efficient handouts. The counters are always clean and stocked. I had ordered the chi hen and spinach quesadilla. I was so disappointed. The rice was so dry I needed to take a sip of my drink to wash it down. The beans were bland. Just gross. They looked like something that came out of my rear end. The quesadilla was alright. Not great or amazing; it was just alright. Plus if you have quesadilla give us some sour cream to help keep us from choking on it. It was dry as hell. No sauce to keep it moist. This is probably the one food place I have never had an issue with a wrong order, poor quality ingredients, something missing or the food wasn't that good. Bueno is always muy bueno, and the portions are generous. The OOOONLY thing that i noticed is the stuffed jalapeños are a smaller portion than they used to be. They are halves now instead if wholes. The seasoning they use on their chicken is soo tasty and you can load your burrito up with lots of fresh ingredients like onion, grilled corn, avocado, garlic, and cilantro. I actually went back 2 days after my first visit to try the shrimp burrito and though I liked the chicken better, I appreciate the large shrimp they give you in the burrito. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back! They have a punch card for repeat visits/rewards. Salsa bar is a big plus and their salsa is delish. Try it out! read more

You can see them make your food which is amazing since you can see all the ingredients are real and natural (like the peppers, onions, rice, beans, etc). First time trying this restaurant out and I must say the food isn't bad. The setup inside reminds me of a Moe's or Chipotle's. We ordered online and drove about 15 or so minutes to pick it up. Upon returning back to the office our food was still warm which was great. I ordered and enjoyed the Chicken and Spinach Quesadillas which came black beans. I swapped the white rice for brown which was a little bland. The quesadillas were huge especially for lunch. It came with 2 small sides of sour cream which tasted a little warm so I got nervous and didn't use it. I would visit this place again as they have a pretty big selection to choose from. read more

My thoughts on this place are that it reminds me of a family run more authentic and better tasting version of a chipotle or Moe's. While it doesn't offer the sort of subway style over the counter approaching, they're very quick and efficient and it's never at the expense of their food. The stuffed jalapeños are a nice appetizer and their BBQ and Tai chicken burritos/bowls are fantastic! If you're looking for quick but filling Mexican food then this is the spot to come! I am a big fan of Bueno Y Sano. I have to go with 5 stars for the awesome goodness that always seems to fill a Bueno Y Sano burrito. I am originally from Western Mass and fell for Bueno Y Sano when I was living in Northampton temporarily for a year in 2015-16. I would go to their original location at least once a week for lunch. I found myself in West Springfield 2 weeks ago killing some time on a recent visit and it was lunchtime ....so I just had to stop into this Bueno Y Sano location. I ordered a seitan burrito with the works and it was just like I remembered it from the Noho location. I put some of their hot salsa on it and made it perfect. The woman who waited on me was efficient and courteous. The women who made my lunch were skilled burrito makers! All were wearing the classic "Rolling Fatties Since 19XX" t-shirts. I've been to both this location and the one in Northampton. They're very good, reliably consistent, modern "Mexican" quick food - burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. I can recommend the variations like the East-West asian fusion burrito, the Korean tacos, and the brisket tacos. While the food is reliably good, and filling, it's not special. It's usually under-seasoned and a bit oily. It's a fine option for popping in when you need a quick meal, the place seems clean and the staff works hard, but it's not anything I'd go out of my way for. read more

Bueno y Sano has delicious food, but I would recommend one of their other locations if possible. 9 times out of 10 the West Springfield location will get your order wrong. If you order anything on the side you'll never see it. Even if you order directly off the menu with no substitutions they'll find a way to mess it up. I have a co-worker who always orders the BBQ chicken quesadilla. Twice it's come without BBQ sauce. One memorable occasion it came without chicken. Not worth the hassle to order here. read more
