Grilled chicken taco and tater tot taco
    Kelly W.

3.5 stars if that were an option. Good menu, good service, inviting place. But to me a four-star place is a place I would definitely go to again, at three stars I keep looking and trying other places. Food came out quickly, which is possible, since they are not, at all, a scratch kitchen. I would've gladly waited a little longer for anything that did not already include cilantro. The homemade chips were good, and the guacamole was fine (pepitas where a nice touch). I had the tater tot taco, which was delicious. I also had the grilled chicken taco which was okay. Both tacos were over stuffed which looks appealing, but made them hard to eat. The rice was a little stale, with some hard bits, and the beans were tasteless.

Bueno is one of my favorite places. The food, the cocktails, the service, and the atmosphere are all top notch. Everyone seems to really make sure you are having a wonderful experience. Do not sleep on the seared ahi tuna bites. They are unreal and I wanted to go back the next day to have them again.

Bueno? Malo? That is the question, and just so happens to be the name of this restaurant. As Americans, we love our Mexican food like no other. Our neighbors to the south have left a permanent imprint on our culinary landscape. But a full on Mexican experience in Andover...not exactly what I was expecting! BuenoMalo features favorites like tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, empanadas, and even Mexican street corn. The restaurant is full of energy. Vibrant art and decor fill the space, including a life size George Clooney cut out on full display at the entrance. Even the Clooney can't resist Mexican food! The Food: The tacos dish comes with any two tacos and bottomless rice and beans. With the fish tacos being the far and away best seller, that's an easy choice. Crispy pork belly is something I can never turn down. In taco form? Another no brainer. The tacos themselves are double corn, and ample size. The fish is Baja style. The batter itself is a little lighter than I would have hoped for but that is just a personal preference. There is no denying it is a very good taco. The crispy pork belly tacos? That is something else all together. A mountain of crispy tender pork belly, topped with carrot and sweet glaze. This my friends, is a taco bordering perfection. Not only does it work as a taco, but on its own this might be the best pork belly I have ever had....and I've had tons. There is plenty to love about BuenoMalo. One thing that cannot be understated is the price point. Of course being in Andover some things are to be expected, but $22 for two tacos is quite shocking. That definitely puts BuenoMalo in a once in a blue category, but do I regret it? Absolutely not. The pork belly alone was worth the money! Price point aside, good food is good food, and BuenoMalo certainly brings the goods to the table.

Got takeout tonight. Chicken empanadas were super spicy (delicious but beware they are hot). Tried the fried oreos - delish!! Take-out margaritas were strong! Good dinner!

Place is excellent with great food. Very tasty not your typical Mexican restaurant. Service was impeccable and just a great hidden gem

I was very happy that we came in and were able to grab the last available table! The rest of them were reserved. So that's a tip, it's better to reserve the table before you come. It's cute spot, with George Clooney in the entrance (you'll understand when you see). The staff is friendly and very accommodating. I got myself fish and steak tacos. They were really big, I didn't even eat the rice and beans that come with it. I liked a bit more the steak tacos. I think they are slightly overpriced though ($22). Overall good food good experience.

I had to travel up to Massachusetts on Monday and I was quite disappointed with the lack of a New England accent on anyone. We used to be a proper country. In any event, on Monday, I went to Mexica Burrito Grill. I met a man, on the line in front of me who insisted this place was good. I was skeptical because, I don't know this guy and why was he being so friendly? I ignored the warning signs and assumed he may be correct as he too was a husky gentleman. I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas. I told them to include the rice and beans, because a man needs fuel that sticks to the ribs, along with double carnitas, cheese, and nothing else that sounded like it belonged in a rabbit's lunch. No vegetables, no salsa, no cilantro trying to ruin a perfectly good meal. They delivered. The carnitas were delish, properly seared, and tasted like actual pork that had been treated with respect (salt, heat, and time). The rice and beans did their job, simple, hearty, and not pretending to be anything fancy. No lectures about "fresh ingredients" or where the avocado came from. No one cares, Chad. Just a solid bowl of meat and starch, which is how God intended bowls to be used. I ate it back at the hotel with a black coffee and a pocketknife for portion control. Felt like I could split logs afterward. This is acceptable food. I may return. Highly recommended for men who understand that beef or pork are staples, with enough rice and beans to keep the machine running.

Our server took about 10 minutes to come over, but he brought our drinks out fast. We both ordered the Ceviche Campechano, which was good -- I've had other ceviches that packed more lemon and cilantro flavor, but this one still hit the spot. It came with saladita crackers, which felt weird at first, but ended up working really well. The service went downhill from there, though. It took forever for our server to check on us after the food came. Eventually, I noticed he was also bartending, which explained a lot. The place got packed while we were there, and drink orders were nonstop. He didn't come back, and I had to flag someone else down to ask for him, but he still never came. We decided to share dessert and got the churros with vanilla ice cream. The portion was good for sharing, but the churros were hard as a rock and impossible to eat. The ice cream was okay, nothing special. We asked for the check as soon as the dessert came because, at that point, we knew it'd take another 20 minutes to get it, and we were right. The whole thing ended up taking about 3.5 hours, which was way too long for what it was. It was hard to hear each other as the pace kept getting packed and the music was getting louder. Parking is decent. Street parking is free after 6 pm (Monday-Saturday), and I think they have a small lot behind the restaurant, but I've never used it. Honestly, the food was good, but the slow service and crazy wait times really ruined the night. I get that they were busy and understaffed, but it still shouldn't have taken that long. Not sure if I'd go back anytime soon.

If you are looking for a cozy and warm place, this is not your restaurant. It has a huge interior and a very long bar, and if you want to see a sporing event, you have found your place with multiple large screen TV's playing all the live action. When we went on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was nearly empty and sounds echoed a bit. We were greeted by our server, Delmi M, and she brought out small containers of chips with some relatively mild salsa (neither were replenished during the meal). The service was slow, but relaxing, and since were were celebrating a birthday party for a granddaughter, that suited us just fine. Wow stuck to soft drinks and water, reasonable at $3.50 for soft drinks and quickly refilled as they were emptied. The dinner plates were more than enough for each of us, and the food was delicious but rather bland for a Mexican place. We had the following: Grilled Veggie Tacos, Veggie Enchilada, Chicken Chimichanga, Chicken Tacos, Pork Belly Tacos, and Blackened Salmon Tacos. The salmon was a real taste treat, as was the pork belly. One aspect of the meal that is a perpetual problem for me is that the server removed plates as people finished the last bite, leaving no silverware or plate for sharing what the more leisurely diners might not want to finish. The food was definitely good, and I am very sure that on a busy Saturday night or during a major sporting event, this place would be rocking. The murals on the walls were colorful and diverse in their appeal. If I were looking for a romantic and private experience, I would avoid 3 Amigos, but if I wanted to gather a crowd for a sports bart experience or a roomy place to gather, I would try it again. I would also like to feel I was in a place where the waitstaff was excited to see the clientele. Their attitude could have been due to a lazy Saturday lunch without much happening.
