We saw them win 2 outa 3. So that was good. This is my wife's 12th MiLB ballpark and my 15th. We've seen a lot of good fireworks. But the fireworks at Sahlen Field are the best we've ever seen. Both of us were in awe. The hotdogs, Blue, popcorn, peanuts, and pretzels were very good. The Italian sandwich was lights out. Everyone at the park was kind and helpful. And the gift shop team went above and beyond to help me find everything I wanted. We are from out-of-town and consider the games we attended as some of the best we've seen. read more

Seeing the Bison's for Star Wars Night has become a family tradition for us. Our son is 6, and he loves seeing the fireworks and meeting the characters. What they do on Star Wars Night is just magical- there are so many adults that come, dress up, engage with the kids, take pics with them, and of course, create the videos, and perform in the massive on-field light saber fight! Their dedication and time is what makes this event an amazing, must-see each year. Buffalo is truly blessed to have this team- we get to watch pretty good baseball (Ok, this year it was a blowout and we lost!) and more importantly- a family can go to a game, indulge in allll the goodies, and NOT go broke! We always get hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy- you name it. We FEAST! It's once a year, so we go all out- and honestly, we don't break the bank. There is NO professional baseball game you can watch where you can go, get tickets, buy all the food you want, and afford it. But here, we can enjoy everything to the fullest and all for less than probably one ticket to a Blue Jays game =D. Whether you like sports or baseball or not, it's a good time. If you are not a baseball fan, you should go to a game where there is a theme- take your dog to the park, Star Wars, etc. Because even if you don't enjoy the game, you will enjoy the experience and it's a fun way to spend an evening or afternoon. I simply adore going to see the Bisons, and I hope my son continues to love to go, so we can keep this tradition going. read more

Well It was Father's Day, what a better place to take your husband to a Ball Game. It's been a few years and wow they made some improvements to the ball park. We were seated right behind home plate. Thank goodness for the net, some balls came flayling back at us. We have the new green seats. They seem bigger and more comfortable. The food was pretty much you want it they got it. We of course opted for the usual, hot dog, fries, popcorn and drinks. My son opted for a few beers. All different flavors loganberry and peach. He likes the flavors. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day so we only stayed a few innings. We will be back, hopefully when they win, better weather and maybe some fireworks. Price is a great value for the family. read more

The Buffalo Bisons have an enjoyable ballpark, but not my favorite of the accessible minor league parks within "day tripping"-distance (which I consider to be 4 hours/one way or less). I was back here just a couple days ago to watch the Bisons play the SWB RailRiders. After having been to Rochester (Frontier Field) just a couple nights before, going to Coca-Cola Field seemed like a bit of a step down. Don't get me wrong... Coca-Cola Field has enjoyable aspects. Parking around the stadium seems to be plentiful (though I paid extra for parking in a garage right across the street from the main entrance gate). There are also concessions placed around the stadium that provide standard ballgame fare, though there's also a stand or two that provide healthier alternatives. Personally, I enjoyed a loaded Italian sausage sandwich. It was decent... nothing I would clamor for again, but it fulfilled my craving. Perhaps the most entertaining aspect of watching a Bisons game is being able to watch the collection of mascots, all of whom seem to be having a great time providing entertainment during the game. That said, the team store could be more inviting, because it seems pretty cramped in there. Also, the stadium generally feels a bit dingier than some others I've been to recently. Decent legroom in the stands though. Overall, you win some/you lose some with this stadium. TL;DR Tickets are cheap, and there are few things better than having some time to visit a local ballpark during the season. I would probably pick visiting a couple other more accessible stadiums over Buffalo, but it's still fun to visit and see the Bisons play. read more

Going to a Buffalo Bisons game is a fun, family-oriented way to spend a night out. Besides the very affordable tickets, they run happy hour specials for $3 craft beers before the game, and also have lots of Buffalo-made snacks to choose from. In addition to the music and jumbo cam, they also have fireworks after the games several nights throughout the year. Now Sahlen Field, another outstanding Independence Day celebration. We started our evening with a decent buffet at Pettibones Grill. Some of the highlights: prime rib, stuffed chicken, sliced pork, HOT DOGS!!(an absolute need at a ball park), various salads and desserts. Well worth the $20 p/p. Also great relief from the humidity. Lori was our server and was outstanding. Heading to our seats, in what i believe is still one of the nicest ball parks in the country, we bumped into a couple of wonderful staff members who helped us out. Great view of the game and some terrific people watching. The BPO was mostly wonderful. The only issue we and those around us was the lovely folks sitting just behind us in Section 122 row U seats 16-19. I wanted to thank you for allowing us to hear your conversations through every selection the BPO was playing. Before you think and say "dude it's a stadium, What did you expect?" I understand that and understand the need to converse when out with friend but could you whisper instead of elevate your voices? The the children and teens could keep their voices down, why couldn't you? The staff at I met from ticket sales, will all, entrance, Pettibones and ushers were outstanding. Went to one game last season and one game this season. In both cases concessions where a joke. 2 and 1/2 innings to get some hot dogs. There were more people waiting for the concessions then where watching the game. Level service has dropped dramatically from when Salhen Field first opened. Won't be back read more

One of the largest ballparks in the minors. Great city views, on street parking is pretty available and the price is definitely a bargain. Check out the Thruway Classic when Rochester plays here. It's wonderful to visit Buffalo in the summer, not much humidity and simply gorgeous. There is a lot to do and getting around is a breeze. read more
