This arena does it all. Hockey games, Lacrosse games, concerts, ice skating, tours, and more! When it opened up originally, I remember going and thinking how new everything was. Now they have made some updates and improvements since then but they still have that same feel and nostalgia of how it was. For the most part, it is what you'd expect: food and drinks are priced pretty high, seats aren't super big, but it has decent parking nearby so that's a plus. Usually we go here for a few Sabres games, Bandits games, and a couple of concerts every year. We've been lucky enough to take a tour of the locker rooms and even skate on the ice for some special events. As much as people hope for a new arena like the new, incoming Bills stadium, I like this old arena and all it's quirks. Don't come here hungry and make sure you get there early for a good parking spot. read more

Went to a hockey game during the week. It was packed and a lot of fun. The stadium itself was fine, it was clean as you'd expect and easy to navigate with ushers everywhere to help guide you. The issue is with the concession pricing which seemed a bit much. Everything now is expensive but $15 for a salad or $6.75 for a pop doesn't seem right. They also only take card and you check out on your own, but there are attendants to help and it seemed a lot of people needed them. read more

So much history in this classic arena! I've never had any issues attending events here, and the views from every seat are excellent. Like most arenas, the food and beer are overpriced and pretty average, but that's standard for venues like this. That said, the games themselves are fantastic. I've seen some truly memorable ones here. The Sabres have really stepped up their production value over the years, making the experience even better. Highly recommend checking out a hockey or lacrosse game here if you get the chance. A great atmosphere and a true Buffalo staple! read more

The arena is very clean and well managed by staff. The shops and restaurants are all nice but be ready to spend some money. Beverages are literally all throughout the arena so you shouldn't have a problem finding something to drink. The seating is nice and clean and they come with a cup holder. I was invited to skate here at Key Bank Center by AAA. There are skates to borrow if you don't have your own. There are two sessions: 6-7 and 7-8. We went into the Bandits' locker room for my husband to put on his skates and to wait until skate time started. After the skating, we went into the cafeteria where cocoa, soda pop, cookies, donuts and popcorn were put out for all. Thank you AAA. read more

Sabres games especially playoffs have so much energy advise to go but it pretty expensive

I appreciate the availability of a waiting area indoors for prior to the rope drop of an event. Having vendors as cashless is a plus. The covered walkway from the parking garage is helpful for when weather is a factor. The wheelchair accessible seating has the row in front blocked off for some events in order to preserve sight lines. Multiple elevators and a few family restrooms are also helpful for mobility access. read more

We were invited to a Sabres game with seats in the Gold Club. It is a huge area with tables for 4, all with a great view over the ice. Before the game started there were appetizers and drinks at the bar. The game started at 5:30 and within no time the Sabres were leading by 0-5! In the meantime the hot buffet was set up. It offered spaghetti with shrimp, a salad, roasted vegetables and fingerling potatoes. During the 3rd period it was time for desserts with plenty of choices, mostly chocolate. We had a great evening with great food and hospitality and a big win by the Sabres. Final score 2-8! read more

I came by for the Mary J Blige concert. Seeing neyo and Marion perform was unbelievable. I was surprised that patrons were smoking joints and security didn't do a thing. It made the experience pretty uncomfortable. As you'd expect, the food and drinks are expensive. The line to the bathroom is long. Strangely enough, the women's restroom have urinals. read more

The sixth arena I have visited and so far, it ranks as one of the better arenas I have gone to watch a hockey game at. It is pretty hard to believe the arena was built in 1996, it still looks and feels pretty new. Lots of food choices, restaurants, clean bathrooms, and good views from anywhere in the stands. Another thing that stood out was the friendliness of all of the fans and employees who talked to us even though they obviously knew we were from out of town and were kings fans. Not sure about the parking situation because we were dropped off right in front of the stadium by our hotel shuttle, but it looks like a lot of fans take the metro rail after the game and it is free up to a certain distance. read more

Came here to see a sabers game and it was a good experience. The place is clean, the food is good and the people are nice. It was easy to catch an uber a block or so down because streets were closed and police were helping people cross. Liked the walking taco stand, better than traditional game food. A great place to see a hockey game. I was actually a little surprised when I bought tickets how good the seats were. Concourse had plenty of room and didn't feel crowded. Food options were pretty good. Had some options beyond the typical arena fare. We ended up getting the 2 foot nachos. A little gimmicky, but they were really good. We got them with burnt ends. If it's your first game, stop by the guest services desk and get a first game certificate! read more

Its been a very long time, since I've been here. One of my close friends, took me to my first ever Bandits Game, this past Saturday 1/6/24 against Colorado. The last time I was downtown for an event was 11 years ago, for a Sabres Game against Pittsburgh Penguins. The security check points were well organized, seats were comfortable, the only thing that through me, was they no longer accept cash and everything is card only. This my friend forgot to tell me on, luckily I had credit card with me. Completely understand on that system being safer and easier, since the pandemic. Overall, great experience,300 level seats are decent for events depending on the area and where you are situated. Look forward to another event in the near future, staff was friendly and organized with the crowd of people. read more

It's been years since I've been here. Decided to catch a Sabres game while in town. Prices were reasonable. Employees were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. The variety of food was good. Probably the smallest seats and rows I've ever sat in at a stadium. The seats were really small and the seat in front of me dug into my knees. I stayed for about 45 minutes and then went to watch the game at a bar inside the stadium. I did have fun while I was in the arena, but hockey has never been my thing. It was cool to have my first hockey experience be in Buffalo with friends. I would definitely come back, but need to do more research on the seating. Overall it was a good time, and I can say I got hammered at a hockey game...lol read more

Enjoyable venue, and especially convenient if you're staying at the Marriott next door. I've been here a couple times (Sabres games), and most recently visited for the Genesis concert. Fairly spacious walkways, helpful signage, and a decent amount of food/drink options (even if perhaps a bit expensive?). Also, a good amount of parking options nearby. I was staying at the hotel next door anyway and so didn't have to drive to/from the venue, but was emailed a parking map and everything before the recent concert that show the ample parking areas around. Important to note: they're currently checking the vaccination status of attendees due to the ongoing pandemic, as they require folks entering be fully vaccinated - you can show your vaccination card or your vaccination status via data on the Excelsior Pass / Excelsior Pass Plus app, etc. (more information about the health and safety policies can be found here: https://keybankcenter.com/page/health-and-safety). I just watched the maple leafs win against the sabers. This was my first time watching a hockey game from anywhere but the boxes so I was really hesitant and nervous that I'd be too cold or uncomfortable in standard seats. I was pleasantly surprised! We were by the ice by the glass and media. It was a lot of fun! I loved the cup holders right in front of us and the seats where narrow, but squishy. There were a lot more maple fans that sabers which was weird. The Lexus club really SUCKED though. The door lady's phone had issues reading our tickets so they had to get rescanned several times. The bar had a lot of people behind it standing around, but only 1 bartender guy. It was a long wait and over priced for weak drinks. $36 for 2 weak drinks full of ice was sad. I still tipped well on top of that even though I'm incredibly disappointed. read more

Have been coming to the arena for years, lately it seems to be cleaner than ever, and better managed. There are helpful staff seemingly everywhere, and the concessions seem to flow much smoother. I was recently at two different Sabres games on different levels within the stands, and really enjoyed the diversity of options. As a non-beer drinker traditionally, I found myself surprised at just how many adult beverage options there were like hard ciders, seltzers, lemonades etc. Looking forward to my next time attending an event here. read more

I've been to the Key Bank Center MANY times over the years for all kinds of sporting events and numerous concerts. Its hard to believe the arena is almost 25 years old since I actually remember when it was an empty lot and then watched it being built as I worked right across the street. My most recent visit there was a few of months ago for the Carrie Underwood concert. (Little late on completing my review.) This was set up with the stage down the middle of the arena rather than the normal stage at one end. I honestly prefer the 'normal stage set up since with this I felt we were looking at the back of the concert half the time as she continually walked around. Actual point here though is that they can set up different options if the artist wants. I have always found that the sound has been pretty good here which obviously is huge when attending a show. Vending stand prices are a bit high but really no worst than any other major league sporting center. Parking can be tough and also not cheap the closer you get to the arena. My advise is to take the train if possible or at a minimum park down near the theater district and take the train (free) down to your car. Overall though I wouldn't hesitate to attend any event here. read more

KeyBank Center is a great place to attend events. It's well maintained and clean for the most part. The prices at the concession stands are extremely high but that's to be expected at a place like this. I have been to the KeyBank Center for many different events and occasions - Sabres games, Bandits games, Ariana Grande concert, Selena Gomez concert, special events, and soooo much more. Most recently, I visited to attend Disney on Ice with my family. I can remember coming to the arena to see Disney on Ice as a kid. Heading up to the 300 level and praying one of my little siblings (I'm the oldest of nine kids) wouldn't tumble down to the ice. Yes, I did even have anxiety as a child! LOL. But for real, it was magical then, and it was magical last weekend experiencing it a little closer to the ice with my two boys. One thing new I discovered from the recent trip is that you can rent the noise blocker ear muffs for babies and toddlers from the arena for free! You just head over to Guest Services and trade your ID for the noise blockers. There is parking all around the arena, but come prepared with cash. Depending on how big the event is you could spend between $20-30 on parking. For Disney on Ice we parked across from The Buffalo News and it was $10. The other option is to park farther up main where you can find a free spot and take the subway in. A good alternative if you are childless and up for the adventure. read more

I really enjoy events at the Key Bank Center compared to similar locations. There are many parking options in the area essentially depending on how much you would like to spend. I like to park in the parking garage just down the road for $10 compared to the one that is right next to center that charges double and takes longer to get out after the show. Security check-in is usually very quick and organized. I will say a negative would be some of the crazy concession prices such as a large can of hard seltzer $11 - I just can't see paying this much. Their double shot drinks are approx. $22! I do enjoy their popcorn which was decently priced. My husband had a slice of LaNova pepperoni pizza which was approx. $8 and wasn't bad for concession pizza. Many options in the area to park and then walk around to get a bite to eat prior to the events. They also have 716 Sports Bar attached to the location, but I haven't been there yet. read more

12/9/21 Am I a big fan of hockey? The answer is "no".  Did I go to hockey games while I lived in South Wales New York? The answer is "yes". Did I have fun while watching hockey games? 90% of the time I did.  It was not only a way seeing life outside of The Gow School, but a way have fun, met a new friend, cheer on the opposing team and have fun... Oh, let's not forget THE HOTDOGS:) They say one can have a better understanding of a sport or things if you actually try it. I found this to be true to some degree.  I did play street hockey, but until you play it on ice, one isn't getting the full experience.  I have a better appreciation and understanding of the sport now.  I visited this stadium many times, but I can't remember what is around the stadium area now.  I have watched people sing the national anthem and even participated in singing The National Anthem and The Canadian Anthem; as well. I personally enjoyed singing the Canadian Anthem more than the US Anthem.   Like I said earlier, one tends to appreciate things better when you are learning something new. Standing in the center of the ice with 18,582 looking at you can be overwhelming.   Some might like the singing, while others...okay most fans want you to get off the ice and let the game begin. Yes, Roseanne Bar, I know what it's like to be cheered and booed...just take that dirt off your shoulder and move on. There have been a few other events at Keybank Stadium I have been to as well. I just don't have anything to show for it now...Oh!, yes I do.  Yes, this will be a blast from the past, but its okay. I wouldn't mind revisiting Keybank Stadium again.  I would like to see what has changed around my old stomping ground. It has been over a decade since I was there.  Great times, great food, but especially the hotdogs:) read more

I've been here many times & have the same problems each time. EVERYTHING is overpriced, The seats are too close together & you have to share your arm of your seats, which is stupid. The concerts always have the stage to the far side, when they should have it in the center, like I've seen for other concerts. I liked Memorial Auditorium better, but I can't do anything about that. I really don't care for this "Center" ,but that's just my opinion. It should be bigger, more space between seats, we should not have to share arms of seats & the prices need to come down. For 1 soft pretzel, I had to pay over $7.00. They said it's that much with or without the cheese, which was total BS !! I'd rather come here than go to Darien Lake for a show, but I'd still like to see them do some renovating. read more

Obviously I can't hold my fear of heights against the arena, but the seats in the 100s seem more comfortable to me, too. Or at least, I didn't think much about it until I read my old review. Basically, if you want a good experience, you need to be in the lower sections whether you have acrophobia or not. Concession prices still make me wince, but the poutine is a great value at $6 or $7. It was a good size and good quality, better than I expected for a concession, but it cools quickly near the ice. Maybe best to eat in the food court? $10 for my husband's wings and fries didn't seem so bad, but it was only 5 small boneless wings. Getting in and out was relatively quick and painless. The Sabres won this time, too. read more

My Brother, friends and I visited here for the Legacy of the Beast Iron Maiden show. It was 100% an incredible show, unbelievable in fact, but that has VERY little to do with the arena. Little care was given (more attitude than anything else) when it was brought to the staff's attention that my brother was having difficulty with his seat, he is a big, tall guy just like me and sitting in it was painful for him, he actually got stuck. He left with very painful legs. The arena's seats simply aren't built for big guys, and there honestly should be some sort of option to serve those of a larger size, and, it should be obvious that paying customer SAFETY and comfort concerns shouldn't just be brushed off. Moreover, concessions tried to serve us cold pizza and when they were asked to change it out for the fresh ones that were available they put up quite the stink. And honestly, everyone agreed, the "fresh pizza" we finally DID receive was terrible. Look, I understand that working HUGE events like this is difficult. That however is NO excuse for being Rude, paying no mind to food quality or ignoring\disregarding Customers issues, especially when health, comfort or safety within your business is involved. That kind of behavior is totally unacceptable in my book. For such an incredible venue it's a true shame that the customer service and concern for quality doesn't match the care and attention to detail that went into the amazing show we enjoyed despite the discomfort. If it did it would easily be a 5star review. read more

Been to many a Sabres game and a few concerts here. For hockey it will never have the feel of a game at the old Aud. I know that sounds like old man talk, but it's just true. That said, the views from even the nosebleeds are not bad here. And sound for most concerts is pretty good. Food and beer selections are sub-optimal compared to many other arenas around the league. Parking options are solid, but getting out of them after a game can be a challenge. The Sabres store is a mecca of gear for any fan. Bottom line KeyBank Center is decent, but getting old. read more

Came for a event (Harlem Globetrotters) and had a enjoyable night. This arena is home of the Buffalo sabers as well as the Buffalo Bandits. Many concerts and other activities are hosted here. The arena has plenty of room in the hallways, to bad the seating inside is pretty cramp. I think it would be a good idea to update the seats. Also understand that the food is expensive. read more

Most aggro security and bag policy in the league. Chicken fingers are literal finger sized and are all breading. Even on the suite level, the bathrooms are so tiny that the line backs up into the concourse. No dividers between urinals. Sinks and soap don't work even in the premium seats. I've been to plenty of NHL arenas and this place is the most frustrating and lowest-class, from the entrance to the concourse to the bathrooms and everything in between. The Pegulas truly hate their fans and take every opportunity to squeeze more and more out of the ever-loyal Buffalo community. read more

Came here for a concert and was surprised ant how well organized this place is. From the moment we walked up the the venue there were lots of police offers and staff members directing you to multiple doors to enter. Once we were in again lots of staff directing us through security and with multiple lanes available there was no waiting. Our next stop was to buy a beer before the show started, the beer stands are separate from the food ones. Beer is expensive but hey it's a concert, everything is marked up. The beer was super cold and the vendors were friendly. Lot's of large visible signs so finding our section and seats were easy. Seats were great, drink holders and a perfect angle to see the stage. There were bathrooms right outside our section... bonus.... with so many stalls I never had to wait. There was also a worker in there making sure things were clean and stocked. I would definitely come back for a concert or sporting event. read more

This is a great arena, especially for hockey. I was in the nosebleeds, and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. You could see the entire rink and all of the action. There are enough vendors around and no real terrible lines, even during intermissions. What was really neat, though, were the video monitors in the halls that showed you relative wait times at both restrooms and concession stands. Brilliant idea! Every arena and stadium should adopt this practice! I'm not saying it was invented here, but this is the first place I've seen to use this tech so far. The prices are okay... high as you would expect, but within reason for a sporting event. I thought there would be more options, though, more local flavor in the food offerings. But, it seemed that every stand had one local treat, and then your standard fare. The parking situation was less than perfect, but who has perfect stadium parking these days? It was pretty bad leaving, but we survived still. Minor problems overall, though. For the most part, this was a beautiful arena, fairly modern, really enjoyable, and a great evening to enjoy a Sabres victory. And I'm not even a fan of theirs! (I didn't have a vested interest in either team, so it made for less emotional involvement). I'd totally go back. This was a great venue. I hope the Sabres have a great year! read more
