Looking for crazy priced stained clothes.. this is the place for you. Stained up shirts $16-21, what a waste.

This was my second visit to this store. I forgot I had visited back in Fall of 2023. I arrived Tuesday morning shortly before they opened and there was already a line forming. I do appreciate that they have a designated parking lot for shoppers. I was on the hunt for some formal dresses for my holiday galas and soirees in December. Major sticker shock! I didn't remember the prices being so high two years ago. I found one holiday sparkle dress, unfortunately it didn't fit. My friends found an armful of Vuori workout clothes, platform sandals and a jacket. The dressing rooms were clean, spacious and well lit. Which I found incredible helpful. No one likes dressing rooms that feel like a shoe box. By the register, I found a small wall of fun assorted earrings. I wanted these giant hoop earring but my girlfriend said I wouldn't wear them. So I put them back. I like that the cashier gave us a token to place in a cause for them to donate too. The store was packed with shoppers and sellers. Overall, they have a wide selection of clothing, accessories and shoes. It feels way overpriced for used items, even though they are brand name. Used is used and should not be exploited. But hey, they charge what people are willing to pay so I guess shoppers are the real suckers! read more

I do prefer the Hillcrest location BUT I do like that this store has a super high turnover. I was here within two days of each other and found new stuff! The prices are reasonable for what the items are. It isn't cheap but it's a great value for the items. We got a 90 dollar Dakine flannel for like 20 bucks which is a great deal. It's a little small and I wish they had more shoe options, but I definitely like this location! read more

This was my first time selling at Buffalo Exchange, as I've only ever sold to Plato's Closet or independent consignment shops in the past. Earlier in the day, I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Plato's Closet after attempting to sell to them twice, only to be turned away again because they had reached their "budget limit" for the day. The experience at Buffalo Exchange, however, was the complete opposite. Definitely a breath of fresh air that instantly changed my mood for the better! From the moment I walked in, everything was well-organized and displays were attractive to the eyes. The store was a little more crowded than Plato's, but I'll take that as a sign of a great shopping experience. They have a designated spot just for selling items, which immediately made the process smoother. The customer service was impeccable, and the staff was 100% attentive all while still communicating with each other. Even while busy with another customer, one staff member noticed me right away and gave me clear directions on how to get started while still assisting the person in front of her. Another employee behind me even pointed out an item I had accidentally dropped while in line. It was such a small gesture, but it showed their awareness and genuine care for customers and their personal items. Cece, the associate who helped me with the selling process, was phenomenal. She made the experience enjoyable by having a natural conversation with me of my plans after while still carefully examining my clothes and offering a fair price. I mentioned my frustrating experience at Plato's Closet, and she immediately reassured me, saying she understood my frustration and would do her best to ensure I had a much better experience here. And she absolutely delivered! Their pricing is way more reasonable than what Plato's Closet offered me in the past, and the best part? They actually accept items all day instead of stopping due to some arbitrary budget or time limit. No offense to Plato's, but they could definitely learn a thing or two from Buffalo Exchange. I'll definitely be coming back here instead of Plato's, my allegiance has officially changed thanks to the amazing staff. I haven't even had a chance to browse the store yet, but I can already tell they genuinely prioritize their customers than just buying or selling items. It wasn't just about being able to sell my clothes; it was the exceptional customer service from CeCe and the rest of the team that truly made this experience stand out. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I highly recommend Buffalo Exchange to anyone looking for a smooth, fair, and enjoyable selling experience. While they didn't take all of my items, CeCe even gave me helpful advice on the best time to come back based on the season. If that's not great customer service, I don't know what is. Now I can finally have a little peace of mind that my closet is a little more organized. read more

This Buffalo exchange location is not good! The service they provide is not welcoming and the workers are not communicative at all! My roommate and I went in to drop off our clothes and they didn't ask for our IDS and did not tell us we had to stay. We thought dropping off our clothes would be a smooth process so try Buffalo exchange but it was not. Do not recommend. read more

Woman at the counter, said that they were being really picky with their selections, but would love if I had any purses, sterling silver jewelry, or rare stones lmao. It's not really worth going, even if you're reselling free people, anthropology, or any nice brands. They want a deal it's a business, kinda sucks. read more

This store RIPS YOU OFF if you are selling. I sold a new pair of women's Free People bell-bottom jeans size 26 (2025 tags still on) that retailed for $135, and a new pair of limited edition Vans tennis shoes that retailed for $60. They gave me $15 in cash!! The more I think about it, the madder I get. And the "new" clothes they are selling are trendy, ugly, and of poor quality. Their new boots, shoes, and purses are of man-made materials and are cheap-looking. You can find very few quality pre-owned clothing and shoes. They used to sell designer bags and shoes and classy, brand-name clothes....but not anymore. Even the higher-priced items behind the cash registers are low-end "designer" stuff. You can always find a unique item either jacket or jeans that are gently worn. You can take items for cash or store credit. I go for store credit because you get more credit. Large selection. read more

Items are way overpriced when they go to resell - and as a seller, I am underwhelmed by the service - the girl who went through my items told me she would give me a certain dollar amount (I knew in my head the high amount was for "store credit" and half of that for cash) - but what she took and what she paid were two different numbers - I was in a rush to get out of there for a work meeting and didn't realize until I was gone that they ripped me off! I was supposed to get around $46 cash and they only paid me $30. Won't ever come to this location again. read more

I really want to love this Buffalo exchange because it's so close to my house, but the customer service continues to be horrible. They switched to scanning a waitlist link instead of waiting in line to sell and I was sitting and waiting for 45 minutes before the girl bothered to tell me you have to scan to get in line. Moved to PB a couple of years ago and have been selling/shopping with the Buffalo Exchange here since. Unfortunately as of recent, I have taken a laundry basket into the store with excellent free people, urban outfitters, and ragged items. Not one item has been selected the past 3 times I've gone. I have collected clothes from vintage markets AND I even donated a shirt I bought from the store itself a couple weeks before. Still, nothing is selected. The racks have many items from SHEIN as well- which is unfortunate and confusing as to why they are so particular but will buy items with such low quality. I don't think there is any consistency which is sad and disappointing. Will not be heading back to sell or buy here. I support second hand shopping- but not at this location anymore. read more

I just left buffalo with the unfortunate feelings that if you have dark skin, they won't buy anything from you. I watched as the buyer spent 15-20 mins with the women ahead of me and spent maybe 3 mins on my stuff. I had brand new with tags men's Union Bay button up shirts with a price tag of $42 on them and they were immediately rejected. As were the sandals, Ray Ban, and Valentino sunglasses, and skirts i brought in. The woman with longish dark hair quickly rejected all my items. I could understand and accept the rejection if they had better stuff. But I found most of the men's botton up shirts were old, out of style, and dingy looking. The store smelled funny and the women's clothing was overpriced and out of style as well. If this were the only time I experienced this, I could deal with it. But ive had the same experience severel times over the years. I won't go there ever again. I think this place has no guidelines in what they buy. Its up to the buyer. If she likes you and your stuff, they buy it. If not, too bad for you. read more

They do not respect customer's time. I went in to sell a few clothes. There were eight people in front of me. Forty minutes later there were seven. There were three places for employees to take in clothes and multiple employees around the store, but only one receiving spot occupied by two girls...one actually sorting through the clothes the other just chatting. The other store on 5th street has recognized that it is rude to keep customers waiting...you can scan a code and they will text you when you are next in line. This location will just keep you waiting in line for a really long time. I just ended up leaving after an hour and won't be going back. In addition, I'd say both stores really ought to limit how much a person can bring in. There are those that regularly show up with 3-4 garbage bags full of items...that's not really fair for those customers behind them. read more

I came here for the first time a couple days ago in the afternoon and the line to sell was pretty long, after a while I left due to my son just not having it. Decided to come back when they open and was 3rd in line and waited only about 10 minutes. The two girls who helped me sell a coat were very nice and the whole process was quick. I opted for store credit as they had alot to choose from. I found some wonderful pieces: I got some cute platform sandals that looked basically new for $20, two pairs of pants (Loft and Abercrombie), a Free People Wrap, a Madewell shirt, and a cute sweater which with my store credit only cost me about $130. The girl at the cashier counter was absolutely delightful and so kind. I can't wait to go back and find new treasures! read more

Unfortunately this Buffalo Exchange is currently a shell of its former self. This used to be a fun treasure-hunt go-to for recycled mens threads. My last experience at the PB shop was the racks had unexciting redundancy (sometimes multiples of the same shirt), many tees at inflated prices. The buy counter was even worse -- the wait was painstaking as the buyer guy was more interested in chatting with his friends who were doing a trade-in, rather than actually pushing through product. 20 minutes for one bag... yeah, pass. Go to Hillcrest, there are still pros working there and the selection is more varied. This PB shop just needs some better management. read more

Horrible experience. They were "understaffed" yet there were multiple employees in store. I waited two hours for them to no even look at the clothes I brought. The line was really slow that it took them 2 hours!! To not even get through 5 costumers. They could of communicated that they wouldn't be able to go through it all in the last hour. read more

Almost never have a good experience here, which is a bummer since I want to love it so bad. The workers are not skilled shoppers, and they have no idea how things should be priced given the brand and quality of the clothes. A lot of items are dirty, stained, or ripped, which is really unfortunate when you think you find something cool. Overall, it is a judgemental vibe as well. Wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for unique clothes or a positive shopping experience. Don't expect any money back either if you're trading clothes or need to return something. If you are plus size don't waste your time! They do not understand plus size fashion. The manger is very fatphobic and no one at their buy counter knows what they are doing. 95% of my closet is Torrid in great condition and she refused to take almost all of my plus size high end items. They claim they want more plus size but won't buy plus size items. This was my first and will be my last time ever going into a buffalo exchange. Smelt and looked just like a run down Salvation Army. There was dust on everything even watched a dust bunny fall off the sign and on to someone sitting waiting to sell their items. The works were poorly put together and when they do buy things there counter to cash out will ask you multiple times are you sure you don't want to buy anything? How is a plus size person supposed to buy if you don't carry anything other than what I just sold you?? My recommendation get a plus size girl to assist at your buy counter. Mainstream fashion and plus size fashion are not the same. So thank you Buffalo Exchange for fat shaming! read more

Buffalo Exchange has over 40 stores - and growing all the time" Probably 50% of the merchandise in the store is brand new very cheap and poorly made synthetics clothing from China. You see boxes of that merchandise, arriving and being distributed on the floor for sale. What happened with preserving the planet and being environmentally safe?! Is the ownership selling their soul for money and bigger profits? Yes !!! most definitely they are! !!!Recycling of clothing prevents the fashion industry from polluting and destroying our planet! Why do young people that are so "save the planet" oriented still want to work for this store? Please bring back the traditions and the wonderful store that used to be and sell quality vintage clothing instead of junk. read more

Great store, with lots of options. Prices aren't the best but its always crowded. Customer service is a bit slow, but they're very helpful once its your turn. To plan to wait around quite a bit. Parking can be tight depending on what time of day you come, especially on the weekends. read more

They seem to have specific items they are looking for and you'll only get 25% of the trade in value if you want cash. The employees are pretty friendly. I understand that Buffalo Exchange does not give you a lot of money for your stuff, but oh my god was this not good. They ended up buying a lot of my items, but for such a low price. Also, the employees seem to not know much about specific brands/what they're worth/etc. I brought an authentic designer leather jacket and they only offered me $10 for it. Above all, some of the employees will make fun of your items in front of you -- really unprofessional. I believe they bought maybe 10 or 11 items from me and only offered me $70 in store credit ($35 cash). I took it because I needed to get rid of the items anyways. Absolutely don't come here if you think you're going to get any money. I have sold to Buffalo Exchange before in a different town. While they didn't buy too many of my items at that time, they at least explained why. I feel like the employees go off of "Would I wear this?", rather than what sells best, what brands people look for, and overall trends. The store is full of Forever 21, Shein, Amazon, and Cider brands. Such an inconsistent business model. We also saw leather shoes being hung up by a clip, which destroys the shoe. The saddest part is I used to work here at this specific location years ago, and it was such a warm and friendly environment. I have been coming to this Buffalo Exchange for years, and used to absolutely love everything about it. The selling process went fairly quickly and they used to take a decent amount of items. I moved away for a little over a year and wow has this place gone downhill. To be fair, I do buy good pieces from here, from time-to-time. But I went in today to sell some clothes. Some of my items were pretty worn down and I knew they would be passed. However, there is one woman (she is hispanic) who is a manger who came to look at my clothes and she is the rudest woman I have ever had the experience interacting with at this store. She doesn't even look at the clothes. She just throws them in a pile. Literally every single piece of clothing. Even ones new with tags. Doesn't look at brands. She makes faces when she looks at the clothes as well. Puckers her lips. And just looks genuinely disgusted. It is honestly rude and mean. I hate to say I will not be coming back to this Buffalo exchange, but I have had 2 terrible encounters with this woman and will probably not return. read more
