In regards to selling here, I really don't know what they're looking for. Brought in a bag full of great condition Madewell and Levi items including high waisted Levi shorts and the girl only wanted 3 things (surprisingly rejected the Levi shorts). You only get 25% of the trade-in (example: one of my Madewell shirts with the $35 price tag still on was gonna be sold for $17 and I was gonna get $4 for it). The buyers seem to pick and choose things arbitrarily. My buyer girl totally did not dress my style so that's probably why she only chose a few things. I browsed around and prices were high for used clothes. Better off donating to Goodwill where they won't charge you an arm and a leg for used items along with providing more jobs for those in need. read more

Do not waste your time here!! I have tried to sell a handful of bags full of clothes to no avail. Even if you arrive before the store opens, you will end up waiting at least 30 minutes to an hour waiting to sell, only for the employees to turn down almost everything you brought with the exception of maybe an item or two (and it won't be what you expect it to be)...It doesn't matter if the items are in good condition or "trending," they will pass on those only to accept the cheap, polyester fast fashion items from Shein, H&M, and the like. I have no idea what their standards for trade-in clothes are because it appears there are none or that it depends on the day. It's honestly so frustrating because I have brought in items that were/are cute, had no stains or damage, and also were not missing anything (like buttons or straps) when about 1/3 or possibly more of the items for sale did not meet this criteria... On a more positive note, once you go through all of the cheap stuff they have, there are some good finds. I managed to find my now-favorite pair of Wrangler jeans here, (and a few other cute, good quality items) but after attempting to sell here a couple times, I'm surprised those jeans even ended up on the sales floor. read more

First of all- they have a free parking lot! Biggest pro to this location. AS A SELLER They take your clothes at 30% if you want cash or 50% if you want store credit. It's pretty easy once you have an account with them. You can look it up by your phone number. If you're going to donate your clothes anyway, might as well bring them by here first. Whatever they don't take, they are willing to donate for you too which is very convenient. This location is good to sell your clothes at because there's a parking lot, and you can borrow one of their metal carts to wheel in your items! Just sold today and the sales associate was friendly and very polite. Very easy and hassle-free. Be sure to bring your items in for the current season, otherwise they will probably not take it. I even brought in brand-new plain black leather heels, but they didn't want them. They did take some really bright pink boots of mine, so it's really hit-or-miss what they are looking for. AS A BUYER Wish they had more professional clothing for work, but then again, it's not really that type of store. If you want some fun, trendy casual clothes, this is a really affordable place to shop for them! Also a great place for any type of costume/halloween outfit for parties. Today, I saw a pair of cute Chanel espadrilles for $250ish which was super cheap considering how much they retail for. This the worst excuse I've ever seen for customer service. Over 20 people in a line that snakes through the store and only one girl checking anyone out. After 15min of waiting in line, a second girl came to help. Except this one decides to have a full on conversation about every single piece of clothing someone is buying and then proceeds to take pictures with the customer. She helped that ONE person to the FIVE the other girl did. I had about $150 in merchandise in my hand that I put back on the rack and walked out after waiting over 30min in line. DO BETTER read more

I don't know I wasn't really feeling it here. I came to sell clothes this past Sunday around 1130am and waited about 40mins until they finally saw me. It's crazy because you never really know what exactly these "buyers" are looking for. Their styles and body types are so different from mine that it makes me feel like it's based off of what is "in style" to them...and most times it's always a punk rock, winged eyeliner, chuck Taylor with church socks wearing worker with a whatever attitude...anyways after that long ass wait this girl did not take not even one of my items...which was a slap in the face to me because they had some funky ass looking things in that store and I had a pretty wide selection of clothing from dresses, blouses, pants, shorts, sweaters, jackets, etc. and plus sizes too. Honestly, it's not even worth it to shop or sell clothes. The clothing is way too damn expensive for a second hand store. Better off going to a Goodwill or Salvation Army for some vintage threads. read more

Went in here a couple days ago, and all i can say is the manager with purple hair seems like a headache. She was constantly harassing the other employees and not allowing them to do their jobs, like moving them around constantly without letting them be in one place. And all she would do is go into the office and come out for a few minutes to badger the employees only to go "hide in the office" as some of the workers put it. I hope the management situation changes soon, because I know what it's like working under shitty management, and since the employees were really nice. read more

Disclaimer: I am not a thrift shop person. Sure, there are some great deals, but I don't have the patience to filter through all the junk. I cleaned out my closet to celebrate the arrival of spring. Most items I put into a box to donate, but there were some practically new items that just doesn't fit me well that I thought I'd sell. There were three people waiting ahead of me to sell. While I waited, I looked through the store and found absolutely nothing that I would wear. Hobo chic is just not my style. No, that's not a typo. Wasted an hour of my life to make $13 here. I can get that at the mall . Riddle me this? Why in the WORLD would I bring you clothes to sell that are trending and in fashion? I'd keep that stuff. I tried to sell designer jeans from 20 years ago and the girl said they won't take them because hip huggers are not trending. Well, yeah that's why I don't want them anymore. Very rude staff. The people who judge the clothes probably shouldn't be ones to judge clothes. Don't expect to get a deal. You can bring in a jacket you paid over $2k and they might give you $20 if anything at all. The process to sell clothes is treated like rocket science, as if people have all the time in the world to stand around and watch them go through clothes with 15min apt meetings and only 2 bags at a time while having to wait in the store, can turn a process that should be no more than about 30min into a week long process because of the way they lack in prioritizing customers selling their stuff. It's pretty rediculous. Great place to buy used clothes. AWFUL place to sell clothes. read more

Drove over an hour to get to this place with a huge trash bag full of clothes. they didn't take any of it. they said "it's not what we're looking for". It's funny because the guy had told me they were looking for a lot of men's graphical T's to which I had several and still didn't take a thing. Would not recommend selling to this place at all. Your shopping trip really can vary widely. You could find great deals or nothing at all. Which is fine! Not every thrift trip will net treasures. During covid, you had to make an appointment to sell. Their appointment wait times are kind of long. You might not get something until a few days down the line. They were taking your clothes and sorting them on their on time after 24h but it wasn't bad. I got a call from them next day. I didn't have a lot of problem with not being able to see what they pick or not but someone else might. I believe they are doing in-person buying now but you still have to make an appointment and can't just come in whenever like you used to be able to do. Last few trips were decent. Got a few things. I was lucky enough to find a brand new with tags OV quarter zip. I'm not always that lucky in finding gems but that one was note worthy! Higher end brands tend to be around the $20-$35 range, which is not like a thrift store deal, but still pretty good considering what full price is. The one thing that was not super great was their men's section recently. I have gone a handful of times since covid and they are really lacking in men's clothing, especially tshirts. They managed to obtain some deadstock and there's just a ton of those instead of actual sold clothing. Men, step it up and sell those clothes! I think their stock in general has been kind of slim since they had to shut down and wasn't able to buy. But hopefully things will ramp up again soon. read more

The location is good. Parking can be challenging if the lot is full. Selection is decent. But the prices are high for a thrift store. We lasted 5 minutes in here and realized that the prices are high because of the brands they have. But from what I saw, I didn't think it was worth the prices for what they had. I think if you are brand conscious then some of their selection might be worth it. But if you don't care about brands then there are a couple of other thrift stores a few blocks down that have much better prices. read more

I came in here the other day and was browsing and I had a really bad experience with the managers Nicki and Taylor. I wasn't gonna say anything and I was gonna leave, but then I saw the manager nicki mistreat one of their employees really badly, they were yelling and talking to them as if they were just a piece of dirt and or someone who isn't welcomed. To whichever employee that got mistreated, it's not worth it to deal with this type of work abuse. Report it! Will never come back here again. read more

I've gotten some great vintage clothes here, and some great help from the staff, who are friendly and funky and have a great sense of humor. I like the way the clothes are organized by size (I'm a big'n!) and that they have a lot of dressing rooms. Clothes tend to be nicer than the local thrift stores, and only slightly more expensive. Emily was wonderful and made us feel welcome. The manager (didn't catch her name because she barely acknowledged us and just kept asking seemingly scripted questions as if pretending to be a human being and then not actually listening to the answers) took over in the middle of Emily taking care of us and barked orders at the other employees, making us and other customers feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend this location. When I visited to sell my stuff a new employee helped me. Very friendly and nice. She chose a good amount which probably would of been about 100 bucks or so. We were about done looking at my clothes and purses when another employee which I assume was a manager maybe ... wouldn't know since she did not even acknowledge me. She starts looking thru my things and starts removing every single item from the pile the previous employee had carefully chosen that they would buy. She even asked how I would want it in cash or credit. After this woman finished reviewing my items again. Which I was not informed of initially that oh by the way after your stuff is reviewed it's not for sure we will be buying them okay? Thanks a lot I was there like 40 minutes total roughly as this new employee carefully looked thru my stuff. In the end they took ONE!! item which I was so disappointed.... and appalled with how she was so unprofessional this manager who clearly lacks some basic customer service skills.Had I been warned initially about what was being done then I would understand. I got $14.00 dlls in store credit. I will never shop at this store it's a joke. Complete waste of my time driving here. I would recommend the one on 5th Avenue. I brought in a suit case full of clothing and they honestly took a lot more than I thought they would. I left with hella store credit, but ended up just cashing out. I had read reviews and heard from people that Buffalo was super picky with what they choose. But they seemed to be reasonable with the selections they were making (the worker said I had nice style heh.) The worker helping me out was super nice & friendly, and we talked while she sorted through my clothing. Who was I kidding ?! Lugging 6 trash bags filled with used clothing and accessories to sell was not an easy feat. Called ahead of time to make sure Buffalo Exchange does buy used items. Girl on the phone seemed friendly and explained to me the process. You have two options: 50% store credit or 35% cash return on items. I chose the latter. My friends were right ! They are super picky ! The girl inspecting my items was quite the social butterfly. We ended up talking throughout the whole time I was there while she looked through my clothes and accessories. Tip: Arrive early ! Even better when they open, because the lines gets pretty long FAST. Fortunately for me, I was the first to arrive ! Sweet ! Out of 6 full bags, they were only interested in a pair of black boots and a few BEBE dresses, which by the way, were practically new. They really look for current fashion items. Then again, that depends on what you consider is today's fashion. I had so many cute items, but they didn't want them. Oh well. If there's one thing I love, it's shopping. What I love even more is shopping and scoring on an item I've been stalking for months. This happened to me yesterday thanks to this here BE! About 6 months ago, my friend Audrey and I spotted a coat in SF's Mission at a store called Therapy. I made her buy it as it was just the cutest most adorable thing ever. I didn't because, hey, why buy the same coat as your friend and well, it was pretty pricey. I then saw it at another store in Seattle and it was on sale for $125. Still a bit pricey, but I was very tempted. Then yesterday as I was cruising the racks, I saw the sleeve. My heart instantly started to race and I thought, "Woah, if that is the coat I think it is and it is correctly placed in the L section, holy crap, I may be doing a happy shopping jig at any moment so back off, bitches. I then walked over to it, took a deep breath and grabbed the tag only to reveal...L!! Hell yes! Without a second's delay I grabbed that sucker off the pole and held it like it was my first born. I'm a big fan of Buffalo Exchange, but the last couple times I went were disappointing tbh. Usually the men's section has plenty to sort and browse through. With a healthy amount of shirts and shoes to explore. This time (post covid) things looked a bit different. A lot of shelves that used to be stocked with items now lay barren and empty. Many of the clothing racks contain duplicates of the same shirts 6+ times. Maybe it's my memory, but I feel like the prices for items have slightly gone up as well. I'll always support Buffalo Exchange but they should consider stepping their game up a lil. read more

Synopsis: don't waste your time bringing clothes here to trade. It took 40 minutes to get trade credit & I didn't even get to shop! ------------------------------------------------- So far I'm not impressed. I'm here to drop off clothes to trade & I'm forced to stand in line to hold my place. I don't mind waiting my turn but, Hello management, I'd rather be shopping than standing here watching people explain their clothing choices... For TWENTY minutes!! L-A-M-E!! Hasn't anyone thought of providing a # or ticket to hold our place. It just makes better business sense. That's the way Thrift Trader does business; let the customer shop around then come back & learn how much trade value they have... Not here! To make the whole experience even worse you are forced to stand there & watch the employees judge your clothes!?! Ugh! Awkward! Management really needs to reconsider their strategy. To finalize the whole ridiculous experience I get to go wait in yet another line at another register across the store to get my $21 store credit. This is when I'm told to be sure to bring a little extra cash to cover the tax! @&#%?!? Cover the TAX??? Hello? Isn't that what the store credit is for!? Really not impressed now. This location has a really friendly staff. They're always welcoming and nice when I come in. I usually just come here to sell clothes, and when I do they are really quick when there's a line. I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to get a buyer to check my loads of clothes out. You can't go into a buffalo exchange and expect all of your stuff to sell. It's a "trendy thrift shop" and not everything you bring is going to be what they are looking for so don't get your feelings hurt when they turn down your old favorite pair of jeans that you personally think are adorable. read more

Yes, they have a parking lot, but it's a paid parking lot. THIS IS A REVIEW AS A SELLER: If you are thinking of selling anything here, just don't bother. I brought a wagon full of a variety of cute clothes in good condition and they took ZERO. I have a much better experience at other stores. They want accessories like purses and clothes that are in the stores today. Who goes and buys clothes today just to resell them? Service is friendly, and the store is clean. Every time I come to PB, I make sure to stop in here. You can find LOTS of brand name clothing for a fraction of the price. The clothes are organized by size on the racks, and by pants, shirts, dresses, shoes, etc. You might have to do some digging throughout the store, since there's so much to sort through. I always get such an adrenaline rush when I find a bargain. Last visit, I was fortunate enough to find a super cute Lulu lemon athletic shirt for $12!!! Even the cashier said I got a steal of a deal! There's a parking lot for the store, which is definitely convenient. When we arrived, the parking lot was full, so we had to find street parking.
