I didn't mind the wait if the food was good, but it wasn't the case for me. The mustard dressing salad was ok but the steak was so dry and I could eat only 3 slices. The waitress was very nice. She encouraged me to eat more but I just couldn't. I told her that I would skip the second plate. She actually packed the leftover for me but the food which didn't taste good then wouldn't taste good later, either. I had a bite of the steak later but I still didn't like it. The wine also tasted like water. We just laughed how bad everything was. This place is popular among tourists and I fell for it. Anyway I thought I should share my experience.

The geeen salad was fresh, citrusy, mixed with a spicy mustard & horseradish sauce. The steak was tender, moist, a matter of magnificence. The frites were real potatoes, crunchy but soft in the middle..Use salt & pepper to your liking. The bread was also great, mopping up the nice tangy & herbal sauce. We had 2 desserts. Party of 4. I had 2 glasses of wine. 164 Euros. Solid deal for Paris. It would cost a lot more in the USA. My only reason for a 4 is it's a long wait if you don't queue early. 1 hour. But well worth it. I'd visit a lot if we had this in my city.

My husband and I were staying at a flat next door and passed Freddy's every time…read morewe came and went, and on our last night in Paris we decided to go ahead and give them a try because we appreciate good BBQ and were curious to try it in France. We each got the combo platter that allowed us to try multiple meats and sides, and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the meat. Especially the brisket, a particular favorite of mine when it comes to BBQ. The mac and cheese was a solid side, but the coleslaw was underwhelming. As Americans, yes, we expect large portions. I've been to Europe often enough to manage those expectations pretty well, so I was also pleased when we each reached a comfortable stopping point and were able to get takeaway boxes for our leftovers. I know it's traditionally trés gauche to take leftovers from French restaurants, but I was happy to see that the trend is catching on. After all, not wasting food is a good thing, is it not? We carried those leftovers all the way to Amsterdam the next day--that's how much we wanted to finish them. We opted to sit in the terrace seating that has a suspended plank for a table so that we could people watch Rue St. Denis, a busy street in this arrondissement. It's in a great neighborhood that was vibrant and full of life, even in the wake of the pandemic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to try good Texas style BBQ in the middle of Paris.

Since we are from Texas we had low expectations but we were wrong. Freddy's BBQ Serves excellent BBQ THAT WOULD COMPETE WITH ANY IN Texas Or Tennessee! The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender and juicy! The pulled pork was fantastic and the ribs were solid! We had all the sides and loved them The two pitmasters are trained and from Texas and Oklahoma So you know they know what real BBQ is!
