My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. It was THAT good. It was easy to make my way to Dog & Bull from Center City thanks to the Septa station located directly behind the restaurant. Street parking also wasn't too bad yesterday. That is really a shame because of the variety of fish that was being served, with some we had never seen before in other restaurants. This is not to say that you shouldn't try the place - it's definitely one to check out but for repeat customers it needs some variety.

This was my first time at Broken Goblet and I was impressed. The space is large. They have a full stage set up and a really nice lounge area with sofas that are so comfortable. There is also Dillias Cafe inside where you can get what looked to be great food at reasonable prices, Menu will be in my photos. The space has a very industrial feel with some very cool lighting accents including a very Turkish inspired chandelier. Bathrooms were clean. Bar staff were super nice and even though it was crowded I never needed to wait for my drink. In the lounge there were also huge TVs which would make this a great spot to catch a game with friends. I'll definitely be back! Thank you Broken Goblet for hosting this event and to Tito's who donated the signature cocktail so 100% of proceeds went to Philadoptables.

The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Tables can be tight, but with good company and tasty dishes, I can handle it.
