Drove about 40 minutes to try this place out! I'll start by saying their parking lot is stinky, which is no fault of their own. It's just on a corner lot which makes it a little difficult to get out of. I enjoyed that they do monthly lattes and like that they have latte flights - although I didn't order when I went. Instead my fiancé and I opted to get two different lattes, iced. They were good but definitely not the best quality. I got the Poseidon latte which was supposed to have butterscotch cold foam and I was really excited for it - didn't taste butterscotch unfortunately. Honestly didn't taste a ton of flavor until the end and it was very good - wish it was just incorporated better so it was a better drink throughout. My fiancé got the sea turtle which definitely had more flavor! Not a bad spot if you're local and maybe I'll go back if they have something really cool, but otherwise I think there are better shops around! The bagels are the front runners here. Nicely toasted and made to order. The breakfast wrap is good, but small. There are Harry Potter and Coraline themed items on the (separate) menu. This review is only based on their food. I've been here many times for their coffee but this time I wanted to try their breakfast menu. Ordered the breakfast bowl and breakfast burrito and it was just sad looking. Very pricey for the amount they give you. Burrito was so tiny for $6-$7 and bowl was like nothing for $7-$8. It was definitely not worth it. I only recommend coming here for their coffee. Coffee here is amazing. 5/5 star rating for sure. Service was great. Coffee came out fast. Food took a little while. Do you need a 32oz coffee? If not it doesn't matter they have more than just coffee. I think their small menu is impressive and a great grab and go coffee stop. Cute little spot and really creative drinks! I love the themed drinks that they do. I recently tried a banana and caramel latte but it wasn't all that good which I was sad about :( Didn't taste like banana at all and had a really weird burnt taste. I came back for a second visit with my husband this time. Parking was very limited. It is a small coffee shop but their service was awesome! The girl/cashier was very patient and detail me on their beverages and food on the menu. Love the environment there, very relaxing. Seats are first come first serve. I was looking for a local place to grab coffee in Bensalem, and Pot Heads Coffee House stood out in what was otherwise a sea of Dunkin' and Starbucks. The good: Service and vibes. The owner and his wife were working when I went and they were both very friendly and helpful. The inside was cozy and well decorated. There was plenty of merch and ground coffee for sale. The OK: I ordered a flight which was four 8 oz iced drinks. Each drink consisted of a flavored syrup, milk, and whipped cream; the only difference being the flavor of the syrup. The drinks, while aesthetically pleasing, were way too sweet. After the first sip or two all of the flights started tasting the same and I could only finish about half of each. The concept is good but it would work better if there was a great variety of flavor profiles. It was also pricey at nearly $20. The flight could be improved if it was offered at a lower price point with smaller (4 oz or 6 oz) portion sizes. The ordering system was a little disorganized--you order, wait, receive and finish your drink, and then pay at the end. They didn't ask for a name and my flight was initially brought out to a different customer. I can't fault them because I understand mistakes happen, but taking down a name or assigning an order number would make things a little smoother. All that being said, I'd say Pot Heads is still worth a visit. Next time I'll have to order a regular drink and something off their food menu and update my review accordingly. read more

I've been wanting to try this coffee place for a while now and I'm glad I finally decided to! I love the vibe of the place. The art on the wall, the mini gift shop they have, the eclectic seating and decor makes me feel at home, but like if my home was in a super cute beach town surrounded by local art shops or something like that. Everything is made to order but my coffee and sandwiches came out pretty fast. With the games and things to look at around me I wouldn't have even minded waiting longer. Limited breakfast menu but tons of coffee options. I've been there twice. The first time I had the bacon, egg and cheese and the second time I had a sesame seed bagel w/ cream cheese. The bagels are good, I'd say 7/10. But, there wasn't much flavor in the bacon egg and cheese. My boyfriend had the banana split French toast and "pot heads" breakfast. While we can't be certain what management means by, "Pot Heads," it is safe to believe they are referring to coffee pots rather than the newly legal mary jane vegetative varieties. The space is full of natural wood panels, Halloween sensibilities and a merch corner for those who desire shirts, private label java, or other accoutrements. I ordered a large 'Owners' dark roast joe and Sausage, Egg & Cheese on Everything Bagel this Sunday morn. I took a small folding chair next to an even smaller folding tea table to await delivery. The paper cup and corrugated sleeve arrived first. First suck through the slot was hot and strong with excellent flavor. Someone knew what they were doing with bean selection and roasting. The sammy was also very good. Fresh ingredients melded together by American cheese and held tightly within a bagel that did not require toasting to display its taste. The fried egg would have been perfect if dripping some yolk, but was still a ++. Service was friendly and very busy with a large family taking over the cozy corner of the store, and other couples playing table games or embracing while they waited for their requests. If well capitalized, Pot Heads has a strong chance of succeeding here. They are creative with very good product, which goes a long way to keeping people walking through their doorway. read more

I love this place on the week days. It's a small place with a small parking lot, so on weekends the parking lot is a disaster and the inside is overstimulating. Keep in mind there's a 4% fee for card. But they have the cutest decor ever, it's always different and there's always fun stuff to look at and buy. There's seating and games inside too. The vibes in there are great, the owner is kind and the girls that work for her are awesome. The drinks are AMAAAAZING. They switch out their specialty menu pretty often, but they always have great flavors and syrups, so just remember what's in the drink you like and they can make it. I don't go here on weekends anymore bc it's too busy and I'm not waiting 30+ min, or ordering online for 1 drink :/ It wasn't bad until they introduced coffee flights, which holds everything up. If there's only 1 espresso machine....maybe 4-drink flights should be limited to a certain day of the week, time slot, or online/to-go only, because the service has been so slow ever since. Okay today I tried the Mr Irish Potato Head hot drink. Omg another fantastic drink!! My go to is the dark side of the moon hot or iced. But today I ventured, due to the urging of the staff lol Wow am I glad I did!! Not only was the drink fantastic, but let's chat a minute about the phenomenal yes I said phenomenal Irish potato that sat on top. It is hands down the BEST Irish potato I have ever had in my 56 years on earth!!! Hoping they make them an item they sell in the store for the holiday. Today was my 3rd time visiting Pot heads and I'm incredibly disappointed. I've gone twice in the last 6 months or so for the iced latte flights. They change every month or so and they always look so cute and creative. The inside is incredibly tight and seating is limited and it's very overstimulating inside, but the coffee flight themes are fun and I enjoy them. Today a friend and I went for the Valentines Day flights and the way we were treated was actually embarrassing. My friend ordered flights for us both. The Cashier actually tried to tell us we were ordering too much and told us to split a flight. I've been there twice before and ordered my own flight and didn't have anyone try to talk me out of it. Then when we were given our flights the waitress made a snarky comment about 'if you can't finish it, don't throw it in the trash - we don't want all that milk in the garbage.' I was like 'what's the problem here?' Isn't the purpose of a flight to try new drinks and flavors? We actually finished our drinks but the cups still had Ice in them, so I was afraid to throw them out. I went back to the cashier and asked if I could throw them out (as ice does turn to liquid eventually) It was the strangest encounter I've had in recent memory at a food establishment. Stopped in here for the first time for coffee and a light brunch with my best friend and the kiddos on a Friday at about 930-10am. First I have to say the name is cute and what drew us to give them a try, once we walked in we were greeted with the cutest little shop. It was cozy and very reminiscent of like a 90s coffee shop with comfortable seating, plus it was decorated for Christmas which added to the atmosphere. The place is on the smaller side but while we were there never felt over crowded, while there is seating if you choose to enjoy your order there, I saw most people take their orders to-go. The staff were pleasant and when we walked up to order we didn't have much of a wait at all. As for the food and coffee I'll give the food 3stars...it was good, prepared fresh and served hot, but nothing special. The coffee id give 5stars, we ordered 2 specialty iced lattes and a hot latte and all 3 were delicious...definitely satisfied my caffeine addiction. While we had kids with us when we went we stuck to traditional coffee I did see a few cbd options available for those who enjoy or would want to try that!
