We have been lucky enough to be guests at Buffalo outdoor center for 25 years. We started staying in their cabins which are a little slice of heaven. The cabins are a perfect escape and provide solitude, and breathtaking views as well as quick access to the beautiful trails, the river and elk watching. We recently visited the new RV park which is perched on a beautiful mountain with a perfect view of the sunrise and sunset as well as dark sky nights full of stars. The accommodations are A+ including the shower and bathroom facilities. The RV pads/ picnic tables and hook ups are staggered so everyone has a great view. The shower/bathroom/laundry facilities are clean and well equipped. Can't say enough about the always friendly and welcoming staff at the BOC - this included Mary Kate and Carrie during our visit. Warm, engaging and alway helpful.

Stayed 2 nights at the RV park. Large level spaces with full hookups and Wi-Fi that works well. The view is amazing and the bathhouse is first rate. It was nice to see a family shower facility and a wheelchair accessible ramp to the bathhouse. This was our first trip, but it won't be the last.

I'm not gonna lie, I was terrified, but our guides John and Andrew did an amazing job at showing me that despite my fears, this was actually very safe. I can't say enough about how well they do their jobs in terms of professionalism and how thoroughly entertaining they are! The Buffalo River is so very beautiful and there's so many great things to do there like paddling, hiking, mountain biking and camping. But don't miss the amazing experience of flying through the treetops if you ever have a chance!

Great group with friendly staff. Our cabin had everything we needed and was very clean with a wonderful view. The zip line canopy tour was great and the guys running it made it a lot of fun!

This place was amazing! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The facilities were amazing as well. We stayed five days in our cabin and enjoyed the peace that we got to enjoy being there. Amazing location to hiking trails which we enjoyed. Will definitely stay there again!

Very cozy though unofficial visitor center to the Buffalo River park. They even have wifi here which is a godsend if you rely on your phone for navigation and forgot to download an offline map. It's also got an excellent selection of various gifts and souvenirs.

First Zip Lining experience with Buffalo River Canopy Tours and it was so scenic and fun! Staff were happy, helpful and very trustworthy. Water provided half way through the 8 canopy/zips which was a blessing. Battered and bruised = had a great time!

This place I beautiful. We rented a cabin and felt like we were completely away from civilization. The only issue is most other float trip outfitters will take you to the inlet. Here you leave your keys and they will drive down to the outlet. If you're not from the area it's easy to get turned around. I would definitely stay there again.

Had a blast on the Zipline Canopy Tour. Jeremy, Matt and Rachel were AWESOME! Highly recommend! It was kid friendly, lots of different zips (fast and slower ones), we saw 4 deer while out there, great views of the small town of Ponca and a few "dad jokes" tossed in for fun. The team kept everyone very safe and the groups that go out are small enough that you're social distancing the whole time. It was a highlight of our trip. Thanks again!

It's a nice area, but I would NOT recommend this campground unless you wanna be stolen from. They…read morewill nickel-and dime-you, and add extraneous charges at the end of your stay without even calling beforehand. Example: I noticed a charge on my card at the end of my stay from Wanderlust, which is odd because I paid my booking in-full up front. Come to find out, they charged my card an extra $50, without even calling or notifying me. Apparently this was to replace two shower curtains in their public bathroom. I only used one shower and the shower I did use was NOT left disorderly. Even so, had they asked, I would have gladly went cleaned it or purchased two new curtains, which are $12.99, they charged me $40 for them. Not to mention, they charged me $8 for their attempt to clean the old one. If I'm not mistaken, I already paid to use the restroom when I made the reservation, so they are already getting paid to clean the bathroom. This is just an example of the kind of schemes they run and get away with it because they have some clause in their terms and conditions that says they can make up rules anytime they want. Which is ridiculous. Avoid the headache, there are plenty of other nice places in the area

You can have a temporary dog fence stupid because you're dogs bark and you will do nothing about it. And we the other campers don't want to hear it! Abide by the rules and you'll enjoy your stay. This RV Park is very nice and maintained. The workers enjoy the guest's. We stay here a lot actually we're here now and it's quite peaceful. People are enjoying their campfires having a great time! What's not happening is excessive noise, music, dogs, reving engines and drunks! This is a very nice place don't miss out because of the bad reviews!!!

This is the BEST TRAIL in NWA! Period! I mean, come on: look at the 5-stars!…read more This is fairly easy hike for all skill levels. 3miles round-trip. 2-4hours total. Kids (and adults) will love scrambling on all the large rocks. Adults with enjoy the beauty of creation. And if you are brave enough, you will find a cathedral-type cave at the end of your journey. You do have to squeeze to find it, but the trip back into the cave is worth it--just be careful of any low hanging bats (lol!). My wife and I have lived in NWA for 5+ years and we do this hike at least once a year. Sometimes just us, but usually with a group and no one has ever complained about the distance or that they were bored. So good! I love this hike and I know you will too!!

Lost Valley Trail - Buffalo National River, Arkansas…read more Lost Valley Trail was a great hike and one of the highlights of our time exploring the Buffalo National River area. The trail takes you through a beautiful, heavily wooded Ozark landscape with towering trees, rocky creek beds, huge rock formations, and some really impressive bluffs along the way. We made our way to Eden Falls and also checked out the cave, which made the hike even more fun and adventurous. The scenery around the rock formations and cave was probably my favorite part of the trail. The only disappointment was that the area hadn't received much rain recently, so Eden Falls was completely dried up during our visit. Even without the waterfall flowing, though, the hike itself was definitely worth doing. The forest, cliffs, creek beds, and cave still provided plenty to see and made for a beautiful outdoor experience. Great hike with lots of variety and beautiful Ozark scenery. I would definitely recommend visiting--just try to go after some rainfall if you want to see Eden Falls flowing!
