I suspect at this point, few people need or use reviews for such places as 'B-Dubs', I mean they're a kind of 'seen one, seen''em all' franchise by this point with a nationally consistent menu, a large number of wide-ranging beers, a fairly efficient waitress/food-runner model of service, and sports on TVs everywhere. We've generally (and somewhat surprisingly) been big fans of the chain, in fact I've been to the original site, off campus at Duke! But we are rarely there on a prime Saturday night...and we won't likely ever be back during rush hour there again. The problem is that when the kitchen falls behind, the service delivery machine that sits behind it is not equipped, nor empowered to fix things. It will make you remember all the reasons why these chain restaurants irritate some and drive others crazy. In our case, our food took twice the time it normally does, and then was delivered lukewarm at best, then redelivered without half the platter, meaning an out of process trip BACK to the kitchen and more time were needed. Then to top all off...when we inquired if there were any extenuating circumstances, we were told that they were just experiencing the normal Sat night dinner rush in the kitchen, ultimately offering no other explanation or contrition. Altho hungry, we weren't in any particular hurry, how about a small discount, or even just a beer to buy some additional patience. I appreciate a well run business as much as the next guy, but first of all, if the same thing happens every Saturday night, maybe the work schedules need to be tweaked. Then, when things DO break down, you are ultimately only as good as your front of house people and their ability to explain (or mask) the problems and keep customers happy. It's pretty clear the servers/bartenders at BWW have no interest or incentive to do so. We've now lost interest too. read more

Had the Thai wings and was surprised for this establishment to be a big box store how tasty they were. Kitchen was very generous with the carrots and celery when past experiences with other BWW the kitchen acted as if I was asking for their first born when doling out the carrots and celery. We came here all the time 10 years ago and wow has it gone downhill! On Saturday night, when sat at the table we were asked if our child wanted a kids menu and coloring pages. We said yes but they never came. We ordered some medium wings for the kiddo and I got buffalo. When they eventually arrived after a long wait, they had the wings backwards (the sticker labels were correct, just not the actual wings). He almost cried after taking a big bite of the buffalo wing. The wings had clearly been sitting out a long time before being drowned in sauce. Could be described as slightly warm, nowhere near a hot, freshly cooked temperature. Crunchy in all the wrong ways. And to top it off, for 2 adults and 1 kid with wings and drinks it was $80 before tip! The wings at any bar are much better (and cheaper). Been here maybe 4 times, loud atmosphere for most of them, not the speediest service but have gotten a consistent blend of Bdub's fattening food, unable to resist Asian Zing, Honey BBQ, Mango Habanero, Caribbean Jerk, or a Buffalo dry rub. There's a good drink selection but can get expensive quickly regardless of ingredients or brand. It's great to see more menu items popping up. As well the Buffalo Ranch Wrap, jumped up in price from the seven bucks it used to cost, still when stuffed properly to bursting, is very tasty. Rewards is average, slow to add up, but best for takeout. Most recently did that, massive burger made wings look weak. Walked in and went to the restroom. The ceiling was leaking (it wasn't raining). The floor had water all over it. I told the waitresses the bathroom was filthy. Its your typical BWW but our server was amazing! Our server, Danny (I'm probably spelling it wrong), was so friendly and attentive. She was lively and just so bubbly that it was awesome. It took some time for out food to get out (not too long) but she still stopped by to let us know that it would be out and apologized for the delay. She checked on us throughout our meal. She was helpful with recommendations too. The manager was also very nice and friendly. Our dessert took a little time to come out as well, again, not long at all, and took the charge off our bill. My husband is a huge BWW lover and I'm happy to come back for the hospitality. Of course, you can never go wrong with wings and fries for a meal so win-win for me. read more

We decided to have a couple drinks here just to give them some business. They had outdoor seating with parking lot extended blocked off seating as well. They had 20 tables with 16 occupied total because YES I counted. 4 servers. It took them 15 minutes until my husband final had to flag one down to serve us. Most tables were just having drinks. The service was extremely poor. You'd think after couple of months of nothing they'd be waiting on you hand and foot to win your business. This was terrible. And we were giving them the benefit of the doubt. We tip well because we understand how hard server's work but this was ridiculous. Just ok. I've been here many times both for dinner and for happy hours. Ordinary food - mostly deep fried and fattening. Nothing standout. Decent beer selection and expected service. I prefer Hooters wings. It can be VERY loud which I suppose is my biggest beef with the place. The bar area is large but it has no short tables and I'm not a fan of tall barstools. Their drink size is generous and they have plenty of options to choose from. For a wait staff consisted of college students, I am surprised I have nothing to complain about. After having a previously bad dining experience here, I decided to give this location another chance, against my better judgement. What a mistake. This visit was worst than the first one, and I will not be returning. The server was very rude, inattentive, and came across as miserable and inconvenienced that she had been seated. We waited quite a long time for her to even come take our order, despite the restaurant not being busy at all. When thanking the server after she delivered our drinks, she just turned and did not acknowledge she had been spoken to at all. When the food came out, I did not receive salad dressing, my bread was burnt and not edible, and we waited close to 15 min for drink refills. She did not check on our table at all until we were almost 95% done with the meal. At this point, we were just ready to leave the restaurant and not inconvenience the server by doing her job any further. I've been coming and going to this location for many years - including prior to the remodel. The times used to be good but the last 5 or so times I've gone to this location, the experience has gotten worse and worse. Good things: - The sauces are very good. Lots of options for anyone to find the right level of flavor and heat. - Beer selection is actually pretty large with great variety as of late but it's missed the craft beer hype bandwagon of 2017. - So many screens with sports on - pretty easy to ask for your favorite game to be flipped to a tv of your choosing. The bad: - food wait time - bar staff attentiveness / attitude - quality of the food Experiences: - 2nd to last time I was there was over lunch with 2 buddies. We sat in the bar area and ordered some wings and a wrap. The waitress was fine this time around but the kitchen took over 40mins to serve up our food. We all have jobs and meetings to get back to so we ended up not eating a single bite of our food and had to get it to go. Yikes. Fun fact, it was us and 1 other group of maybe 4 on the entire bar that day for lunch. - Last experience was for a fantasy football draft (draft was great!) ... the service was not. When I arrived I was asked what I wanted to drink (around lunch time). I requested a water and was promptly given a rude snarky response along the lines of [oh a water are you kidding me]. I'm all good with fun and games so just ignored it and requested just the water again. I did find it interesting that servers shame customers for not ordering beer - especially when they aren't checking IDs and have no prior knowledge of that customer ( what if I was a recovering alcoholic :o ). Once I got my water and finished it, I noticed that everyone else in our group of 12 was getting refills on beer but me and the other person in our group with water didn't receive a refill for over an hour. Eventually I asked for a refill and waited another 30 mins. That's when I had to leave the draft and go to the actual bar and ask for a refill. After this first refill the same situation occurred. What it seems is that our waitress was only interested in serving customers with drinks that ring up a larger bill. So over the course of 3 hours, I had about $30 of food and 2 waters. Pretty annoying but I'll take my money elsewhere ;) To add insult to injury, we had the wrong food brought out for our $100 wings / apps deal - that 2nd set of nachos were ice cold too. Most of these things I can forgive when the sports bar is slammed but it was maybe at 30% capacity. TL;DR If you find yourself to be someone without a large format LCD screen, food, beer at your home then this might be a decent alternative. Otherwise, invite your friends out to your place and have a much better experience. BWW sports bar format is a fad and it's showing its age. If you have a standing relationship with the owner / staff you might have a 2 star experience. read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Illinois from Virginia, where we fell in love with Buffalo Wild Wings and their delicious food. Unfortunately since moving here, every time we have ordered from our favorite chain there is a problem. Everything from overcooked wings, soupy queso sauce, lack of wing sauce on the wings. What finally broke me down and caused me to write this review was tonight we purchased 3 different wing flavors to go. When we got home, it turned our they had given us 2 flavors in three boxes. This truly ruined my boyfriends experience as the flavor we got 2 of were the ones we were least excited about and his favorite flavor was the one that was dismissed I urged him to call to at least get a refund, since he is especially picky and this actually ruined the whole meal. Upon calling, the manager Mike said that he talked to the female who checked us out who swore up and down that the wings were the flavor that was originally ordered. While we ourselves were sitting here looking at 2 boxes with the same sauce. We relayed this to the manager who said well next time YOU need to check the boxes. At this point I interjected saying that that is the EMPLOYEES responsibility. Every other BWW i have ever been to happily displayed the contents of each box before allowing the wings to depart. After pleading more for a refund Mike reluctantly offered to send us "something in the mail". While my boyfriend was giving the address, he accused him of being a repeat offender of this.
