Me and my friends recently stopped here after the hockey game since it was close by and it was open late as well. This place has a lot of Chicago style fanfare Foods. I ordered a jumbo hot dog but I just got a regular size hot dog instead when my food was presented . Their food is pretty good, it's at a pretty fair price as well . Wait times aren't too bad at all and the restaurant itself is pretty packed . I do applaud this place for having gravy bread! It's a bit of an older place where the restaurant is showing its age here and there but don't let that fool you because regardless of my little inconvenience this place was worth checking out. read more

Windy City Wieners is consistently good. I typically order two chili cheese dogs without onions, fries, and a drink and spend less than $15. Their fries are think and are just crispy enough. Their hot dogs are great and I like their chili topping. They run a different special each day and also specials that are good every day. Their cheeseburgers are excellent also! read more

These gyros are outstanding. I'm always craving gyros so this was a great place. The tatziki sauce was one of the best I've ever had. Meat was a little overcooked but the sauce made up for it. Next time I'm getting the gyro loaded fries. read more

Tonight it is bitter cold and snowy - horrible driving conditions. We were exhausted from travel and wanted delivery. None of our usual delivery services were available. We ordered from WCW thru Grubhub and Wow !!! Food was awesome. Hot upon arrival which was on time!! Came across this place while we explored the Farmers Market on a Saturday - and it's come up on my yelp searches too but we never mad it down this way. The place is kind of divey but food is good. We had the jumbo dog (Chicago style), burger, loaded fries and chili cheese fries. I have to say, I actually prefer their hotdog to Portillo's. The prices are very reasonable so we enjoyed trying a few different things. They had different specials on each day of the week. They have a good selection from hotdogs and burgers, to salads and gyros. If you check in on Yelp you get a yummy chocolate chip cookie (nice and chewy/soft like I like it). Definitely a place I'm looking forward to trying again. read more

Hot dog and polish was good. Warm but not hot. The "cup" of chili was a small container about 1/4 cup in size.

I have only been here a few times but those times were good! Great corndogs with that small business feel.

If you want to see good reviews on this place, check the Normal location. The only difference with this one is something I can appreciate: lots more seating! I always wanted to take more friends to the Normal location, but it's a pretty small interior. This one definitely remedies that. I had ordered the Maxwell Street a half a dozen times, so then I ordered the two Red-hots special. Both really good! But I felt like I needed to expand my choices, so I opted for the Maxwell Street special (couldn't resist), A Gyro wrap, and a Greek salad. We've been here at least 3-4 times & have never been disappointed. Chicago dogs are reliably tasty as are the fries & the food is cooked to order. Once I deviated from my usual & got the Maxwell Street Polish dog, a bit sloppy but also tasty. Despite the low rating, I have been here a few times due to WCW's convenient location by my internship. I have tried their Chicago dogs and their gyros. The hot dogs are pretty small and not quite as good as what I have eaten in Chicago. The gyros are better. They don't skimp on meat and Tzatziki sauce, which I appreciate since so many fast Greek restaurants do. The sauce isn't as flavorful as others that I have had, but overall I am usually happy with a gyro order. The fries just taste like your basic frozen french fries. This place is brought down because of two factors. First, the lady working the register is pretty rude. I think if someone so forcefully corrects you on how to say "gyro," they should be able to say it correctly. I don't know what a jew-row is. The tables are also usually dirty, with crumbs on them even if there are very few people in the restaurant. I have had to swat flies away while sitting inside on every visit. At some point, you need more than convenience to continue dining somewhere. read more

Me and my dad went here today. Dad got two chicago style dogs with peppers and onion only, and I got the italian beef plain. I went during the 12pm-1pm hour, and it was busy inside kind of with sit down orders, but not to-go orders. I was standing there waiting for about 10-15 minutes or so just for my food to come out, and they didn't say sorry or anything of the sort. Oh, and when I tried my food it was not very hot at all, it was cold. Same as with my fathers food too. We both give it 3/5 stars for this reason alone. Some seriously good hot dogs for Blo-No. I get their lemonade, too, which seems to be hand squeezed and tastes great. I also like their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. So, I ordered online, I got the Philly Chicken, loaded cheese fry, and the chicken gyro special that was supposed to include a fry. I placed my order at 12pm, I didn't receive it until 1:20. Then, after the driver had already pulled away, I realized my regular fries were missing. I called, they said they'd send the driver back with my fries, so that's okay. The gyro and fry were for my husband, who is taking a nap. So, while I'm waiting for the fries to get back, I decided to go ahead and eat. Ehhh. My loaded fries were very soggy. I realize that they are covered in cheese and sourcream and a lot of other stuff but the fries themselves just didn't taste very fresh. My chicken philly was also a bit soggy. Maybe they're super busy and having an off day. And maybe it's just that the food isn't super well suited for delivery...Next time I decide to give them a shot, I think I'll actually go in. read more
