Like Hogs at a trough. I don't know if it has been since the pandemic, but there is something just plane distasteful about the buffet anymore. For one, the food quality has severely suffered, cakes and deserts are dry, and I am sure the same ones that were there since the last time I was in. . . a year ago. Not the establishments fault, but some of the patrons are very un-hygienic (I said this is since the pandemic I am more sensitive to looking for things). Kids going around eating off the spoons and putting them back in the servers, the idea of all the hands touching the handles after touching who-knows-what. And again, depending on the time of day, the quality of food is lacking. As we all know things that have set on a steam table since lunch is not that appetizing at dinner. Price is another thing that makes me second think going to the buffett now. When one of out party barely eats a spoonful of food they are still charged the full price. If another of the party goes back for shrimp you get the stink eye from the circulating servers. Ordering plated meals are sometimes a better choice, you don't have the variety, but in hoping it is fresher, is not always the case. I saw them serve my plate from the buffet rather than make me a fresh batch of Kung-Pau. For me personally, I think buffets have ran their course. I'm giving this one star because because I can't give it less. Service was terrible. Waitress acted put out when we asked for spoons not realizing they it was wrapped in the silverware. Food was bland cold and mostly fried dough. Hardly any meat dishes We left after eating a 1/3 of our first plate. And it was dirty. While food, especially coconut shrimp is superb, is very tasty and they have wide variety, am not happy with their business practices. When paying, BE EXTRA CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU ARE CHARGED!!! Twice now, we've caught them "over-charging" and not complying with their own menu prices. Whether it was a language issue we don't know but even their tickets are not in English. I'm picky and I love this place! I am on a very strict very restrictive diet. The food is awesome. We order online usually. We have never had an issue with any of the employees. My youngest is Autistic and this is a place she isn't loud at because she loves the food here. The employees are very respectful of both my kiddos and their behavioral issues so that's a big deal for me. The buffet and the regular menu are delicious. I usually get hot and sour soup which will last me for 2 meals. My kiddos love the sweet and sour chicken, but the portions are so big that that also usually lasts them for 2 meals. So we can get food for supper and also have food for lunch the next day. We get food from her a few times a month and it's our go to Chinese food place! read more

Thanksgiving Day they took advantage of people that had nowhere else to go and charged everyone $17 each. I guarantee that out of a party of four not a one of us ate $17 worth of food! So do they think that just because it's Thanksgiving people are going to eat more!! Stupid thinking! They advertised turkey and ham. The Turkey looked very dry and wasn't even sliced. We got there about 2:00 pm. I asked two waitresses for the ham and both of them said they would check on it and I never saw them again! The chicken wings were very dry and looked like they had been sitting out there for hours. They advertise Chinese AND American food, including steak. I saw no steaks. American food consisted of 3-4 items. No mashed potatoes and gravy, no corn, no dressing, etc. All in all, I really don't understand how they could possibly have been named as "Best restaurant in Kansas"? It was certainly a better experience this time around, but I don't see me giving them another chance. 2.5 stars. The cheese wontons were probably the high point. Crisp and well filled. We had tried this place a couple of years ago and were not impressed. My daughter recently started going there for lunch, and commented that she liked it, so the wife and I joined her for another visit on a Friday at lunchtime. Still not impressed, although their front wall is lined with awards from the Wichita Eagle voter's choice. I don't understand, it was not very fresh, the fried rice was average, the sweet and sour chicken pieces were doughy, the broccoli beef tasted rubbery. The spring rolls had an odd taste to them like it had nutmeg or some odd spice to it. My daughter enjoyed hers however, and they seemed to have several sushi options which she also enjoyed. I am still looking for a truly good Chinese restaurant in this town. :( read more

a ton of chinese buffets in town, this one has such pretty interior "design" but by taste, isnt one of the better ones though. the sushi was subpar; i dont even know where they found such tiny reject pieces of "sashimi" to put on the rice, and the eel on rice sushi was rubbery and tasted kind of funny. i wanted to try the kimchi but it was so weird looking that i didnt even have the heart to put any on my plate cuz i knew i wouldnt eat it when i got to the table because it looked so unappetizing. the only thing i'd get again would be by take out, their egg custard, which they made in a super lazy way using wonton wrappers instead of legit egg custard crust, but it turned out surprisingly delicious. the other thing that was good was the tilapia cooked in some dark sauce. they also had ice cream in the large tubs in the freezer, so that was nice. my dinner consisted of like 3 egg custards and a lot of ice cream. mmmmm read more

This is the one buffet I will travel across town to go to. I love seafood, and this buffet offers the most variety compared to all others in town. There are nominally-better Chinese buffets in Wichita that include seafood and sushi for almost half the price, and flavor their food in addition. So we called before we got here to make sure they offered crab legs... long story short we paid 12 bux each for them to bring out 8 crab legs. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to bring out u guessed it 8 crab legs. What the heck!! I asked what the deal was and was told we only bring them out every 30 min. Only detrimental comment we have is the monetary part. Watch out!!! They do NOT show details of transaction on the ticket and if you don't verify prices and tax they charge, you get "over-charged." Went in with my mother in law and 3 children ages 5 and 3 year old twins. They charged us full price for four dinners. The 3 year old children were supposed to be free and 5 year old $4.99. For all of us they charged us $46.09. At first she said $28 then changed it. We asked for a receipt and asked why we were charged so much. She refused the receipt and blew us off.
