I read the reviews that were unsatisfied with their visit here and I get it if that was their experience but my experience was top notch. We went kinda late for dinner because it was before our biobay tour (around 19:30) and they had a handful of tables still. Our service was great. I think the owner served us a little bit and he was very patient and kind with my moms questions regarding the menu. They were out of stock on a few items due to the ferry import issue they're having but it was no issue for us. The skirt steak was SO juicy and good with the rice. Good portions too. My mom loved their refried beans. I got flautas which were different from the Tijuana Flats flautas I'm used to but still so good with their guacamole, sour cream, and diced tomato sides. We were very satisfied with our visit. Food was good. Restaurant is beautiful with murals and the I heart Vieques sign. Service was prompt. It is half outdoor/open window so if it rains beware. They also have outlets for our use which is crucial for those on the move all over town. read more

Good Mexican food with good quick service. Vegetarian friendly and outdoor seating. A short walk from the ferry.

No Bueno! Greasy mess of food. Extremely slow service. It took 30 minutes for drinks from the bar. Our food came first. No drink refills. The meat was chewy and tasteless. The beans were dripping in grease and the queso fondido was a solid block of cheese we had to cut with a knife. One person in our party said "I like the chips and that's about it". We when tried to talk to the staff about the food they were indifferent and did not reply. read more

Outstanding food! The tostados were so good. We had shrimp and Octopus that was delicious. Mojitos beyond Amazing!!!! If you do not like spice and garlic or taste for that matter, go elsewhere as subway down the road. read more

Food is great. Carnitas Plata is more than you can eat in a single sitting, and very flavorful. Atmosphere is great, dance floor was busy. Service was pretty poor. Felt ignored, had to remind waiter to bring beverages 15 minutes after ordering them. Enchiladas are actually more of tacitos, and look nothing like the menu picture. read more

Awesome spot with with people that clearly care about their guests. Haven't had their food so can't comment, but the bartender was more than helpful when she probably has to deal with tourists all day everyday and didn't have to. Even offered her number in case we couldn't find a cab right back in time for our ferry back. We we're staying one night at a resort kinda far from this restaurant so we asked about a taxi and Andrés was so kind and took us to our resort instead of us having to deal with a taxi. What a terrible meal and made even worse by poor customer service. The food was extremely greasy, lacked any flavor and while we were willing to have another drink to relax in our time as a family sitting together, we weren't offered one. If you want Mexican food- do not go here. This is not Mexican food at all. In fact, it's not even good food. (Sorry) ordered queso dip to go with nachos. The queso was just a melted block of cheese. Not even remotely dippable. Attempted to order a monitor but the were out of mint. Ok, that happens - no worries. Attempted to order a medalla beer and they were out of that too. I can't understand how you run out of medalla in PR. Then for the meals. Chicken chimichanga and a vegetarian burrito. The chimi was full of odd things and there was no sauce on top. On the positive, it's a comfortable casual setting with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. The wait staff was very friendly but completely incompetent and overwhelmed (on a Thursday night) and it appeared that many were new and both slow and really ineffective , making multiple mistakes, getting distracted, and not finishing a task, etc. Lastly, the food was moderately good at best. My fish tacos were ok, my wife's taco salad was neither taco-based nor a salad, though it did come in a massive taco shell. Oh, and the cocktails were awful. Sure, the bartender admitted she "wasn't really a bartender" but a) how hard is it to make a gin and tonic? and b) how can you screw up a freakin margarita in a "Mexican restaurant "..? But trust me, they did. It arrived with an anise (licorice) taste, so we returned it. Same thing on the second try. Really..? Tequila, Triple sec, Lime juice. That's it. Oh well. Our fault for choosing a "Mexican" place on Vieques. We will stick with Puerto Rican food for the rest of our time here. read more

I don't understand the low ratings for this restaurant. My husband and I went twice while we were in Vieques and enjoyed it both times. The atmosphere is great -- we sat outside with the chickens, but the interior had cool murals. The margaritas (and I'm a connoisseur) were the BEST! The fajitas were great as were the beef enchiladas, but I'd shy away from the cheese enchiladas. Our server was super-friendly. read more

Ok. I've been to vieques before and was not expecting such poor service. My experience on this island of paradise has always been positive, ALWAYS! That was, until today. Our server was exactly what you would expect a bad server to be. She needed to be reminded to bring our drinks after we waited quite a while, she was not apologetic for it. She poorly described our menu options (which were also poorly outlined in the menu), she took away our chips and salsa after my daughter asked for more and she never brought more to our table. The food was awful! I mean, BAD. I regret not taking pictures to demonstrate the poor quality of the food we were served. Finally, we were overcharged for our food (my children ordered for themselves and the server provided two of them with adult portions). When we pointed this out, we were met with attitude from the server, the manager or owner came to our table and explained that he would reduce the cost, but it was clear he wasn't happy about it. All in all, this place was not good. I will say one good thing about the restaurant, which will be the one star they get from me.... The environment was nice and airy and had a beautiful outdoor seating area. read more

This place is disgusting from the quality of service to the quality of food. First, the server was in a rush to get our order. The tortilla soup was super salty and oily. The Pollo ranchera was disgusting- I took one bite and couldn't eat it, the chicken was not even cooked. The refried beans were oily as well and the Mexican fries way too salty. My daughter order chicken tenders with fries which were soggy. The worst thing is that there aren't many places open to eat in that area on weekends therefore they don't really have competition. read more
