Cute place but the food was a let down. The crab appetizer was imitation crab (which is fine if people want that, but it should be made clear). This was the first place we had dinner on Culebra and were happy to grab one of the last open tables for our group of 4. We had a few drinks, a few apps, and a few entrees as well. The entrees were really good overall and likely the best part of our visit. We had mofonga for the first time and it was so good and the sauce on it was fantastic. For apps, we had coconut shrimp and also fried fish. They weren't bad but I'm not sure I'd order an app there next time. Drinks were solid, I wouldn't say the best of our visit but not the worst either. Service was decent but they were pretty busy. Mixed experience today. We came in for an early dinner -- 4:30 ish The view is lovely and the interior decorating is rustic and casual with touches of Puerto Rican personality. The menu on the blackboard is a cute idea....and had enough variety of fish and Mofongo. The grouper and fried whole snapper were super fresh and delish -- but the chefs special sauce is not needed. When fish is this fresh, let the taste of the fish speak for itself. One of my family members had the rib eye and he devoured it. It was slightly over sauced / chimichurri. Again, not needed. The service started very friendly and turned mediocre and distant as the entrees were served. The most annoying aspect of the dinner were the constant flies circling and angling for our food. Management should get some citron lamps to remedy this nuisance. read more

This is one of my favorite places to dine on Culebra island. The service is excellent and friendly. It's a relaxing place to come to unwind even if your looking for a drink. You must try the fresh calamari. Wow! This time around I went with the shrimp fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. Could not finish it so they provide your work a box to go in a bag to carry. I grew up on rice and beans and there is no one better than my people who have perfected it. Shhh...the secret? Sofrito. Trust me on this, get it! Looking forward to coming back. I am so happy to have been back here again! I had the exact same meal as I had several months ago. The chef special fish topped with shrimp in cream sauce and a few sweet onions and peppers. So so good!! The fish is delicate and tender. Perfectly crispy on the outside but not overly breaded. Rice and beans on the side. The beams were overly salty this time. This was the place we chose for dinner on the island and we're happy we did. The menu is written on a chalkboard that you can take a pic of before you're seated, which we thought was pretty cute. Location is easy to get to from the main road and close enough to the ferry that you can drop off your rental and walk to the boat afterwards. For food we got the spicy crab which comes on three tostones. For dinner we had the grouper special and ropa vieja. Spicy crab was not very spicy, but we found that not very much is in Puerto Rico (or at least the places we went to). Flavor was there though! The grouper was the star of the show and I would totally recommend if it's the special when you go. My boyfriend said the ropa vieja was very good. Drinks were tasty! The food was sadly not good - just a lack of flavor. Too bad because it would be easy to make these ingredients pop. Veggies were tasteless and the fish a bit dry.... When we initially arrived and placed ourselves on the waitlist, the manager had an unwelcomjng attitude. We weren't obnoxious or rude in any capacity. Very calm group. Once seated, they took quite a while to come to our table to take out order for drinks and several more minutes to come back for our food order. The food took over an hour to come out, at which point the older service lady immediately said "Not my fault" instead of apologizing for the wait. This restaurant does not understand taking accountability or service to the customer. The food is extremely mediocre and quite pricy. 10/10 experience My wife and I have been to Culebra three visits now and this was our first dining at this restaurant today (6/23/2022 3:00-3:30pm). Our server was extremely friendly and walked us through the menu pointing out the best items. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer (amazing), my wife had the pechuga with beans and rice which was perfectly seasoned with a delicious sauce, I had the mahi mahi with beans and rice and I can confidently say it's the absolute best meal I've had in my three visits to this island. The first time we visited the restaurant our server was fantastic. His name was Brian and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and food. The second time during the same weekend we visited (after such a positive experience the first time) we were met by a server who seemed to take an issue with our tiny puppy being present. Something welcomed with our previous server as well as everywhere else we visited on the island (a chihuahua). She told us that dogs weren't allowed and then when we about to leave she said it's fine as she's so tiny. Ok..... fastforward 10 minutes and she asked we not have our dog on our lap and it has to stay on the floor. Awful vibes, a huge put off. We visit the island about every 3 months. We won't be back. After a wonderful (but exhausting) day on Culebra, this was the perfect spot to wind down for the evening. The view from the waterfront was beautiful, but superseded by the food and service. I had the "Perfect Margarita" and Mofongo Churrasco. The mofongo was flavorful, meat tender, and the sauce rich and satisfying. My husband had the current chef's special and said it was one of the crispiest, best pieces of fish he's had (accompanied by great rice and beans). The service was lovely--friendly and efficient. The food was genuinely amazing, and most of the staff were great -- but one server who wasn't even assigned to our table made the experience uncomfortable. He spent most of the time just standing around, but when we politely asked if he could remake a drink, his attitude completely changed. He came back with the exact same drink, said it was the same one, and stood there watching until I drank it. When I looked closer, I saw a large dead fly floating in it. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I just ordered something else -- which he slammed on the table, even though I had my hand out to take it. When clearing the table later, he purposely left that drink behind. I didn't get his name, but he was tall, had grey hair, some stubble, and looked to be in his late 40s.
