Chef's Special -- Fried Grouper Filet with shrimp scampi
    Sergio M.

Mixed experience today. We came in for an early dinner -- 4:30 ish The view is lovely and the interior decorating is rustic and casual with touches of Puerto Rican personality. The menu on the blackboard is a cute idea....and had enough variety of fish and Mofongo. The grouper and fried whole snapper were super fresh and delish -- but the chefs special sauce is not needed. When fish is this fresh, let the taste of the fish speak for itself. One of my family members had the rib eye and he devoured it. It was slightly over sauced / chimichurri. Again, not needed. The service started very friendly and turned mediocre and distant as the entrees were served. The most annoying aspect of the dinner were the constant flies circling and angling for our food. Management should get some citron lamps to remedy this nuisance.

This is one of my favorite places to dine on Culebra island. The service is excellent and friendly. It's a relaxing place to come to unwind even if your looking for a drink. You must try the fresh calamari. Wow! This time around I went with the shrimp fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. Could not finish it so they provide your work a box to go in a bag to carry. I grew up on rice and beans and there is no one better than my people who have perfected it. Shhh...the secret? Sofrito. Trust me on this, get it! Looking forward to coming back. Make sure to put this on your list of restaurants to visit. .

This is a secluded restaurant in front of the Culebra Bay. The service is outstanding and the food is excellent. This is the standard of fresh food.

I am so happy to have been back here again! I had the exact same meal as I had several months ago. The chef special fish topped with shrimp in cream sauce and a few sweet onions and peppers. So so good!! The fish is delicate and tender. Perfectly crispy on the outside but not overly breaded. Rice and beans on the side. The beams were overly salty this time. But overall this was a terrific meal. Highly recommend. The service is quick and polite. Very kind. The vibe is outdoor beachfront casual. Hugh top tables as well as low tables. Overlooking the water. I hope to be back soon.

Let's start with service...it's a family run business and everyone contributes! It was a pleasure to arrive, felt like arriving at grandma's house. Gabby and her family made us feel like we were part of the family! The views of the bay while dining were amazing! Drinks? Off the hook, pretty AND tasty...but the food? Upscale traditional Puerto Rican dining at its best! I had the pernil en caldero with arroz mamposteao...translation doesn't do it justice, just happiness on a plate. My wife had the lobster tail with tostones de pana...tropical lobster just tastes better, wife left the tail shell scraped clean! If you're in Culebra you can't miss La Cocina!

The food was Excellent, amazing view and great service 100% recommended. Our server Brenda is the best.

This was the place we chose for dinner on the island and we're happy we did. The menu is written on a chalkboard that you can take a pic of before you're seated, which we thought was pretty cute. Location is easy to get to from the main road and close enough to the ferry that you can drop off your rental and walk to the boat afterwards. For food we got the spicy crab which comes on three tostones. For dinner we had the grouper special and ropa vieja. Spicy crab was not very spicy, but we found that not very much is in Puerto Rico (or at least the places we went to). Flavor was there though! The grouper was the star of the show and I would totally recommend if it's the special when you go. My boyfriend said the ropa vieja was very good. Drinks were tasty! Overall, the place had a great ambiance and wasn't too pricey all things considering.

Very good mofongo! The seafood also was great. Causal place with good food. Surf and turf was great.

Everything we ate and drank was delicious: Spicy Crab appetizer (not spicy though), Coconut Shrimp appetizer, Pasta (Veggie), Mofongo Relleno (Camarones), Cuba Libre, Mojito de Parcha! Great service, great view, clean bathrooms.

Unfortunately, this place gets 2 stars for food. But it has amazing views of Culebra harbor. We ordered mahi mahi, pasta with chicken, and a crab / tostones app. Also a side of veggies. The food was sadly not good - just a lack of flavor. Too bad because it would be easy to make these ingredients pop. Veggies were tasteless and the fish a bit dry.... I hope they can work on the food. Prices are on the expensive side given the food quality.... BUT... the view was delicious (5 stars). Gorgeous with cool wind blowing. And the team was attentive and the manager especially friendly... Maybe this place is better for a drink?! Overall - a generous 3 stars but I probably would not return (unless they fix their flavor issue)...

We came here today and majority of the restaurants were closed and open in the afternoon , so we came here to eat our lunch. The view was amazing and very pleasant with great customer service. So, we got pina colada we rate it 9/10, Rib eye steak medium rare $34 10/10 Flamenco sushi $20 for 8 pcs 7/10 Pork ribs $24 7/10 (it could been better if there's more sauce on the meat) Tostones 10/10 I will surely come back and recommend!

Nice quiet spot with amazing margaritas and mojitos. The red snapper, grouper chef special, coconut shrimp and pasta were delicious. Hit the spot and has an amazing view

Filete de Mero With rice and beans

Me and my wife came here to eat on Saturday even though some of the reviews were a bit all over. I have to say we loved it! I ordered the chef special which was the Filete de mero con camarones and was absolutely delicious. It wasn't overly seasoned and fried just perfect. My wife ordered Pernil con tostones which was delicious as well. Our server was nice and attentive.

The owner apparently feeds a good number of street cats and we loved the additional company. Our waitress (Heather maybe?) was incredible, giving us menu suggestions as well as tips for our visit to Culebritas we had planned for the next day. She was super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her and learning a little of the history of the restaurant. The food was mostly amazing- we loved the escargot, it was a different preparation than I've had before with a sort of buttery herby sauce. Also loved the sides, the beans and rice were top notch and the mixed mash was very fun and interesting though a little dry without sauce- delicious with some sauce from other dishes. I heard very good things about the chicken and shrimp; unfortunately one star off as my husband and I bought got the Mahi-mahi and it was rather chewy and tough. The flavor was there but didn't really enjoy the texture. I would 100% go back and get the shrimp though!

We started with a bottle of wine similar to a Chardonnay. But let's talk food. I ordered the escargot. If you know anything about me it's that I absolutely love escargot. I will order them any where I can. I have tried them everywhere from NY to Ca and even Spain and Italy. Susies hands down wins in this category. The butter garlic combination is amazingly delicious. And they don't skimp on the escargot. There's plenty of them unlike other places that count them. The service at Susie's? As friendly and as personable as you want. Every one is happy and pleasant but then again you live on the best island that has the #3 best beach (Flamenco). I had the machi machi. Excellent choice! Plus the rice and beans which I grew up on, however they did not make them with sofrito which is really the secret ingredient to making them. But still delicious nonetheless. Over all, I'll continue to visit Susies each day every time I'm here. Since it was my birthday we ordered the Carmel cheese cake to go. Because some things need to be eaten in private. Shhh....

For dinner we had the churasco -- perfectly cooked to order skirt steak with rice (comes mixed with habichuelas/red beans and bits of ham) and a whole fried snapper which was huge and delicious. I swear the last time we ate at Seabourne must have been 10-12 years ago. Waiting for so long to return was well worth it. What a fabulous meal! We are mostly vegetarian/pescatarian so we ordered the tuna and shrimp dishes. We also had the Jibaro nachos. All three dishes were beyond our expectations. How you get that much flavor in nachos is impressive. For the shrimp, we were expecting, in usual Puertorican style, a couple of lettuce leaves as a side. It was a heaping arugula salad with six spicy shrimp on top! Such a nice treat on this island where true greens are hard to come by. The tuna was served with a mango salsa and was also excellent. Now let's turn to the wine list. On this island, its Tempranillo, Malbec or Rioja (gets boring fast!) or crappy California swill. Azul has a very nice selection of wines by the bottle which include a lovely Spanish wine from Priorat. Wines from Priorat are some of my favorite - inky, dark and smoky. We enjoyed the heck out of the Gine Gine and at only $25, it was an amazing bargain. The atmosphere was tropical romantic and service was perfect.
