I had a potential pest issue and so I reached out to Bugging Out because of the positive yelp reviews and one of our neighbors has their sign on the lawn. Really nasty owner!!! Was 1 day outside of service date(have been on their service for years!!!) Explained why I was not available for service on the date they chose for my service in April ( holiday ), and why I didn't follow up right away in July( death in family and I had an operation). My husband had used my office downstairs for at least 2 months during covid. I'd like to blame my carpet beetles on him since he never noticed the first one and just let them multiply like crazy.... he also never noticed the coffee he spilled all over my floor or the coffee stains all over my desk ..... men. I been a customer for about 18months, and they have always been ontime with the schedule bug maintenance. However, I am so impressed with their response to my WASP nest that was a size of a basket ball. I left a message on their customer portal, and by the time I call them in the morning they told be that a technician will be there by 5pm. They eliminated the wasp nest on my house and called me to say they will come back in 24hr to make sure all the wasp was eliminated! From message to problem solve in less than 24hrs!! Bugging Out deserves more than 5 stars. They are one of the best service companies I have ever used. Like ever. I purchased a new home and had called several exterminators who each charged a ton of money, but didn't fix our issue. From the very first visit from Bugging Out, our issue was virtually solved. They came back repeatedly to make sure we were all set, and also spent a significant amount of time making sure that every exterior hole was plugged with steel wool. We signed a service contract with them, which I would highly, highly recommend. Every time we have called for other issues, they have come fairly quickly to resolve it. As part of the contract, they also come every quarter to do "checks" for critters and pests and such. The associates who come are all super nice, friendly, and very professional. My husband and I always joke that we never though we would like an exterminator so much! We used Bugging Out at our previous home for a little over 2 years. Luigi and Toni were good, as were the guys on the phone, helpful and accomodating. The technicians on the quarterly visits did their job without bothering us. However, of the 3 places we received estimates from, Bugging Out was the most expensive, especially their home protection plan which was not a good value for us. In the end it was not effective in solving one issue that came up and not very effective in eliminating another problem. Pros -Customer service was solid, professional and friendly -When the technicians worked outside only during the quarterly visits, we didn't have to be home -We got appointments quickly, the guys answering the phones were accomodating and courteous Cons -Still saw bugs and spiders: We saw just as many bugs and spiders when we had the home protection plan as we did the many years before when we sprayed the basement and perimeter of the house ourselves with off the shelf spray from Lowe's. Seeing random bugs and spiders while also paying a good amount of money 4 times a year felt like a waste of money -Quarterly visits we could've done ourselves: The first home protection plan installation took a while as they wiped first floor exterior spiderwebs, checked points of entry, sprayed the basement and perimeter, and set up termite boxes. But after that, they were shorter visits, and that's when I realized we were paying Bugging Out 4 times a year to basically spray the perimeter, basement, check the termite boxes, and wipe down spiderwebs on the exterior 1st floor only -Calling another company for help: The other problem we had Bugging Out was unable to effectively eliminate, even after sending different technicians on multiple visits. We ended up calling another company that my brother-in-law recommended, and that company was able to find the source of the problem, and address it, just before the final inspection of our house before it was sold -Signing a contract. We had to sign a contract for Bugging Out's home protection plan, but luckily we ended up moving and that's how we got out of that contract read more

While he was here addressing the ant issue he realized we had a carpenter bee problem too (we were aware of them but didn't realize how many there were since the ants were coming inside and the bees were not). My neighbor across the street hired this company to spray for mosquitoes. The exterminator was wearing a backpack and a well-protected mask when he was spraying the property. Unfortunately, the AWFUL smell from their product penetrated through my walls and windows and is giving everyone a headache. I could smell their products all over my property outside and in my house. When I called the company, the owner was nasty and could not care less that this was negatively effecting anyone. I explained that I did not pay for this service and do not want their products inside or outside of my property. Their technician was wearing a heavy duty mask to prevent himself, yet now the smell/poison is inside my house and there is nothing I could do. I have to say that I was anxious to sign up for year round service with a wonderful company after calling for help! We were having a new retaining wall put in when our landscaper told us we had ground wasps and he had been stung. I use the North Haledon web site for referrals and Luigi came very highly recommended. He came the very next day. I recently used Bugging Out for bed bug treatment. I had heard great things regarding this company via Facebook and at 1am when we saw bugs in our bed, I looked up the owner and frantically text messaged her. ToniAnn responded first thing in the morning (around 830 maybe) and her husband, Luigi was at my door at 930am for a FREE inspection and estimate. ToniAnn was SO HELPFUL with my endless questions whille preparing the entire day for treament the following day. I had a MILLION questions and she kept her paitence and asnwered each one in a timely manner. God Bless her! Luigi was SO caring and understanding. Many companies have different checklists for prep work, all we had to do was washing of all clothes, linens, and stuffed animals (in my daughter's room). He pulled furniture out when he came for the treatment. Luigi showed up the next day in the afternoon ready for treatment #1. He arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Very impressed. Luigi treated our bed, bedroom cracks, crevices, carpet and walls. Even though no bed bugs were found In my daughter's room, he treated her bed and cracks and crevices as well as the couch and living room. He also treated the baseboards throughout the entire house. We did have to be gone for 3-4 hours while he was treating the house, but a movie and dinner gave us good quality family time. Luigi came back 7 days later for treatment #2 and was happy to say that no live bugs were found. She still treated all the same areas of our home. We also purchased Bugging Out's Home Protection plan. A quarterly fee that includes a large list of pests and insect control for free, quarterly service checks for said pests and service checks in between if we see a listed pest.
