With wasps coming into our living room Bug Runner was the only company I called, late on Thursday, that didn't say they couldn't come before next week! This wasn't a nest on our deck! Our living space was compromised!! Not only did Bug Runner schedule us for the next day (Saturday), but they called the same day (Friday) to say they had an unexpected opening!! Dio I'm updating my review for Bug Runner. I do have to admit when they say "If you see something, call and we will send someone out asap" it is definitely true. The two times I've called when we've noticed anything (centipedes, carpet beetles, etc) they've been here and not just sprayed, explained the bug and why they're coming in. I've contracted them for deer and ticks as well as mosquitoes during the spring and summer. I'll let you know how that goes. But for now they are definitely worth it, attentiveness is given to the customer, and their support is awesome. read more

It all started with some scurrying in my attic and basement ceiling. There were no droppings in my house so I wasn't sure what was going on. I figured mice or squirrels and my wife would not have any of it. I reached out to Bug Runner and they picked up the phone right away, were pleasant and and scheduled me right away. The technician, Mr. Hall showed up on three occasions and was alway on time or early and always called ahead. He was very knowledgeable and took on our pest problem scientifically with an experienced eye. Within a week the noises stopped and the pest entrances were sealed. Within two weeks all pests were exterminated and on the third week confirmed. I will also add that Mr.Hall put on booties before entering the house. I used Bug Runner this summer for carpenter ants and they did a great job. The technician came out, explained and showed me where the nest of ants were originating from and went to work. It only took one application to get rid of the ants but I had them come out a second within the sixty day warranty as a preventive measure. read more

I used Bug Runner for a bed bug issue I recently had and was very pleased with the service. They first used a certified bed bug dog and after that did a thorough treatment. The office staff was very patient and kind as I called with numerous questions. The only reason i did not give this company 5 stars is because of the cost. First time using Bug Runner and very very unhappy with the experience. I called and asked for someone to come by and give me a quote on spraying for wasps in my back yard. I was told to expect someone between 10 and 2 the next day and that he would be ready to do the work if the estimate was acceptable. He arrived at noon (so far so good). I was in the middle of a conference call so I told him I had wasps in the fence around the pool and on visible nest in the wooded outer fence. He said he'd take a look and let me know when he was done. He came back about 1/2 hour later and said he was done and was finishing writing up a bill. I explained it was supposed to be just an estimate and he said he didn't know anything about that. I asked about a guarantee and he said he didn't know about that either. I was still on the phone and not in a position to argue so I just paid him (the price was in line with other estimates I had gotten). When I went out later to look, there was a small nest on my driveway next to two discarded rubber gloves. The visible nest I had indicated was still there with live wasps crawling all over it. I called Bug Runner to let them know they had missed a nest and was told to call back the next day because they were busy and maybe he could send somebody by next week. At this point I felt like their attitude was "We have your money so we don't care about you anymore." I got my own spray and sprayed the nest they missed. Do yourself a favor and run away from Bug Runner. A couple of high school kids with a can of Raid could do a more professional job. read more

My family has been using Bug Runner for many, many years and we could not be happier with the level of service and customer care they continue to provide. The fact that this is a family owned and operated business makes it even better. This means that every customer of theirs actually matters that much more to them as opposed to us getting lost in some large, nationwide corporation that considers their customers nothing more than a number. I've read some posts below, including one from a "former" employee (how sad, although not shocking, that this person has nothing better to do with their lives than air out their dirty laundry in this forum), and find it to be disingenuous that people continue to point fingers at others for their own problems. Over the years we have been a customer, Larry and Doug have had a personal hand in just about everything that has come up one way or another - whether it be by hopping on the phone, or following up periodically to ensure we are happy with the service. The fact is, the beautiful suburbs attract bugs and rodents - and yes, bugs happen despite everyones best efforts - however, I'd much rather know the company we choose to help us alleviate these problems genuinely cares about the quality of service they provide and beyond all that, are extraordinarily knowledgeable about all facets of this business. One of the biggest fears as a homeowner is insect infestation, and of all insects to have, bedbugs are up there as the worst. I found signs of having them, and after a little searching online, found Bug Runner. I called the office on a Saturday, left a message, and Doug called me back with in a few hours. We made an appointment and withing a few days Doug was over explaining the process. We brought in the bed bug dog and it turned out I had a small infestation in 2 bedrooms. Fortunately, it was very small, but still a huge problem none the less. Doug quoted me a price for their 2 step process and with in a week, they applied the first treatment. Well, it is now 2 months later, and after packing up two bedrooms into garbage bags, a ton of laundry, and 2 treatments, the bed bug dog has finally given me the all clear.
