Terrible service since Billy Lowery left. In the last couple of years while James was in charge, I…read moreunderstand he started treating customers very poorly. The Wicked Witch of the East that worked in the office was a very rude person. In the end, I'd say the shop got exactly what they wanted. That was to no longer be bothered by the best customers they had for over 20 years or more. I left only one star because I couln't leave zero.

This repair shop was the best before Billy retired. But now a new crew is in charge. Tony is the…read morelead guy and he is dishonest. I dropped my truck off for them to diagnose a problem I suspected was a timing chain issue. Tony called me back and informed me that I did need a new timing chain kit and it would cost ~$2300 (parts/labor, less sales tax and "shop incidentals"). I decided to get a second opinion from another mechanic and when I picked up the truck, Tony charged me $65 for the diagnostics. I asked him if he had performed any diagnostics on the truck and he said no. They just listened to the truck and agreed with my assessment. I told him that his "diagnostics" fee was unfair since he had done nothing to confirm the problem. He simply pointed to the sign on the wall ($65 shop fee). I told him I would never use his shop again and he said "I'm glad". That afternoon, I stopped by another shop. The lead mechanic listened to the engine and said, "Well, I can't confirm it's a bad timing chain unless I briefly run the engine without the serpentine belt in place." I agreed for him to proceed and his diagnosis confirmed the timing chain was ok. The water pump pulley was bad (making noise). He quoted me $750 to replace the pump (parts/labor).. In Summary, Lowery's Automotive (with Tony calling the shots) did NOTHING to confirm the engine problem and were prepared to charge me over $2300 for a timing chain I did not need. We've all heard the stories of mechanics/shops charging for work that's not necessary. Well, I experienced it firsthand and I'm lucky I did not allow Tony's gang to work on my truck. Five stars all the way for Deer Park Automotive!…read more I brought my vehicle in because the A/C fan motor had stopped blowing. From the moment I arrived, Paul Gulski, one of the owners, was personable, professional, and thorough. He asked me to write down the problem in my own words, then explained that he would check the fuses, wiring, connections, and everything else before providing an update and quote. He also assured me that no work would begin until I approved the cost. I expected them to look at it later in the day, but Paul started diagnosing the issue as soon as I left. He found the problem quickly, called with an update, and completed the repair when promised. The final cost was extremely fair. What stood out most was how Paul treated me. He greeted me like a longtime friend. I was feeling anxious about how expensive the repair might be, and I happened to be wearing a shirt that said, "But Did You Pray?" Paul noticed it and prayed out loud. I immediately felt a sense of peace and was reminded that God takes care of us and that there is no reason to be anxious. Deer Park Automotive has earned my trust and is now my go-to place for auto repairs. You may have to fight me if you try to make me go anywhere else. I absolutely recommend them!

Today I ran into the problem I found out there was not a single fluid this place changed on my car,, they just lied to me.all the job that did was worth nothing and they charge extraordinary price for that. they didn't even check the air filter or the AC filter, which is basic for tuneup. Oh, that's right. I think it was the water pump. In my older model Lexus RX. Anyway, when I left and drove about 20 miles the engine started shaking. Holy $hit, I was thinking! Luckily I made it back, he tightened up the spark plugs and actually replaced a few small items for me for free. Though that stressed me the-F out, it was nice to have it be one little fix and then a little icing on the cake. I can say I trust them!! I appreciated the manager (owners?) personable nature and how friendly he was. Customer service is so important to me! I actually came here to write this review because I didn't want to forget the name of the business as I am planning to get the tune-up he suggested this week!
