A fabricator sent me to Daltile to look at granite and quartz. He said that a sample does not…read morecompare to seeing the whole slab in person. Boy was he right. For many slabs, a sample does not paint an accurate picture. Appointments may be made, but walk-ins are also welcome. If looking for tile, make sure to sign in at the desk to the left. If looking for granite, quartz or marble, walk in to the office immediately to your right. There you will be able to check in for the stone department. Some simple safety rules are gone over. Customer's may then look for themselves. I had some design questions. The associate who helped me was phenomenal. I told her I wanted something not too busy, since the elements I am keeping are busy, but not something so plain it looks like a slab of concrete. She offered to walk around with me. After snaking through all the rows, she then left/ encouraged me to take a second look on my own. I left having placed two different slabs of granite on hold. Daltile offers a 30 day hold, free of charge. From there, everything is handled by your fabricator or contractor. Customer service was just as good when selecting slabs as it was when I took the slabs off hold. Holds come off at the end of 30 days. Even still, I did not want to be holding materials they could sell to someone else knowing I would not be purchasing it. Through no fault of Daltile, the fabricator who sent me to them never sent me a quote. We decided to use another fabricator, and selected a slab they have on hand. I still wouldn't hesitate recommending Daltile to someone who already has a contractor/fabricator, and is looking for stone.

I spent well over a week cleaning up the dirty room they left me with. I just found a cigarette lighter in one of my window panes as I was cleaning it. I had to caulk around the tile floor because it is incredibly uneven with huge gaps and the unevenness was supposed to be fixed in this renovation. I spent a good chunk of my life savings on this project and I'm not happy with the quality I'm left with for the price. The company owners seemed eager to take my money rather than doing a quality job. They didn't even want to do a final walk through to see what their crew had left unfinished and unclean. I had to do my own paint touch ups and used a razor blade to remove a ton of glue stuck on the bathroom vanity. I hate myself for choosing such a careless, disrespectful company.

Needless to say, their repair hasn't held. The pvc piping they installed won't even stay together. It only held for a few months and then just came apart-- leaving us with having to have a bucket beneath the sink. I'm just frustrated enough to write this updated review now because I have to pay to have another plumber come out to fix their work. These people are predatory and unprofessional. Would not recommend. What would've been nice is if the owner of this plumbing company saw the invoice number on my receipt in the last post and tried to reach out-- but he didn't. Instead he implied that we didn't even have his company service my mother's home. Having integrity in your business -- owning a job and its result means something.

I woke up this morning, ( Jan 21 2025) and had no hot water coming from my sink faucet ... No water…read moreon the hot side at all. The overnight temps were below zero, the water supply is on the outside wall = frozen pipes. I called a number of local plumbers, and no one had anyone that could get to me quickly. Tarvin initially told me I would have to be a work in, understandably, I was not the first call for frozen pipes! Maybe 20 mins later, I received a call back from Tarvin and they told me a tech could meet me at my house in 45 mins. When the tech arrived (cannot remember his name), he told me they pulled him from his office duties for the day to take care of my issue. He was polite, friendly and got right to work. Within 15 mins he had the frozen line thawed, with no apparent leaks (fingers crossed). Polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also recommended a permanent fix for the freezing issue. We actually stayed away a lot. During this major rehab, not only were we not here daily, but we also allowed assistance from Cyndi, Neal's designer, which was a wonderful experience. As far as Cyndi goes, I showed her what I wanted from all of my saved pictures, ideas of my dream kitchen in my head, and then she would go pick multiple items and I would choose from those. She did this with the flooring, counters, backsplash, cabinetry door styles, etc. Many times my vision might not have been her vision, but she went through it with me, listened and we ended up exactly where we wanted to be. I decided I would do the lighting myself because I enjoy that especially. Not only did Cyndi make this big rehab an easy process, but she made it nice for us and she's a pleasure to work with. I would say all of the guys did a really nice job inside, but we would be remiss if we didn't give a special shout out to Troy, who always seemed to go the extra mile and added many special touches all around. His attention to detail and his work is extraordinary. He truly understands it's the devil in the details and it's the little things that mean a lot. We feel the job would not have run nearly as smoothly if it wasn't for his overall managerial skills, his talent as a carpenter and his determination on delivering a superior product. Obviously we also enjoyed Chuck. He would always answer any questions always tried to be helpful, and was very attentive. Like I said, we liked all of the guys on the job, but we want to mention Ajax, who is very talented at his job, a true craftsman and also goes the extra mile. Although the job was finished a few days late and we do feel that could've been avoided, we are still extremely thrilled with the work that Neal's did and the quality of trades that they hired. They are worth the money. I think the most important question to ask whenever you do anything is, would you use them again? That's certainly a tell all. Absolutely yes, we would use Neal's again.
