My daughter had a bluey themed birthday party just about a month earlier, and most of her clothes are adorned with bluey and bingo. So when I saw that this camp was in town, I knew we had to make it. First things first, which is that we spent just a couple of dollars short shy of $200 for our family of 7 (baby was free so we only bought 6 tickets). At least they didn't charge for the baby, although I'm always annoyed when things like this charge for adults. The check in process was easy and the girl who gave us the tour going in (Sophia) was fun and easy going. You pretty much explore the house for 50 minutes, before you actually are able to meet bingo and bluey. So you're essentially killing time for about an hour. When we came in, they played keepy uppy and had a little dance party later and coloring sheets. It was essentially what I did at my daughter's birthday party, but with strangers. I do wish they had more fun things going on. They definitely could have incorporated more. Because giving kids coloring shades seem like a cop out... That could have been something to just give the kids before they left. Having a dance party and playing keepy uppy is nice, but I felt like the people working there could have done more things or had more fun. A few of the people seem to stay "in character", but some were just doing their job. The house had details from the show, but it also could use a good cleaning and update some of the things. Almost an hour of that seemed to have lulls. I didn't mind it too much because I started feeding my baby, but I can see how just following your kid around in a house would get tiring when they want to see their favorite characters. We finally got to meet bluey and bingo and the person in that room was great about taking our pictures. They informed us that taking the pictures with them would be $15, so we opted to just take pictures on our phone. Whe we were leaving, they had Johnny pops Popsicles in a freezer and I was going to get six of them for our family and they informed me that they are only for kids, even though they charged for the adults. So that was a bummer, but also unnecessary. I asked for one for my younger daughter, and girl at the counter laughed, and I said I was serious. The girl at the counter literally would not give me a popsicle for my other daughter who had to go to the restroom, and waited for her to come back from the restroom just to hand her a popsicle. It left a sour taste in my mouth even though it was not sherbert (get it? Bluey reference). We spent almost $200 and could not have been given less than $8 worth of Popsicles. Ridiculous. Other than that girl with black hair and glasses, everyone else over there is going to be helpful and nice, and it was a fun experience for my children.

I accidentally scheduled for a morning session and put an afternoon time in my calendar. When I realized it, I was so disappointed. I called, and the representative I talked to was so kind and told us to go ahead and come as we were a small party. Even though they were sold out, they fit us in. The instructions to get there were a bit confusing because the store they used as a reference on the website was no longer there. However, we were grateful for parking and floor instructions. The experience was geared towards younger kids, so my 12 year-old wasn't super entertained. But she did say it was a nice experience for our little. Nothing a good sushi dinner afterwards couldn't make up for. The activities were great. My little was so excited and the wonder in her eyes was priceless. It was a bit warm in there, so that would be feedback for making it comfortable for patrons. And it looked like there was once a working photo opportunity at the end. I appreciate the representative that took photos for us with our phone. Overall, I think it was a great experience. I paid a lower price for planning ahead (even though I got the time wrong). I like the concept!

Great place! The coaches are all fantastic, the price is very affordable, and they are very…read moreflexible with scheduling for students. Instead of doing month-by-month subscription, you pay for number of sessions upfront. We started our kid with a a single session to see how he liked it and then he bought more sessions in bulk (we initially bought for 10 sessions but our kid loved it so much we bought 16 more! The single session payment went towards the payment of the initial 10 sessions as well). We had a day where we weren't able to make it to our session and when we called Kids Robotic Academy they rescheduled us no problem for later that week! They get your child to build and program lego projects that they've set up. When it comes time for the end of the session, our kid will describe his project and talk about how his program works. I think not only the building and programming aspect is important learning for child at a young age but the communication skills as well! I can't recommend Kids Robotic Academy enough to others.

Crossing Borders is a good school. They balance learning, play, outdoor play, and exercise really…read morewell. I always felt safe bringing my kid to school, and we had no issues during the year that we were there. The main reason why the school did not work for us was because the Mandarin class size got really large. It was 10 kids when we started, and then maybe 5 months later it was at 18 kids. I felt this number was too high for one teacher (who did not have a full time assistant) to handle. Especially because there are 3 years old in this class too. Ms. Jessica is an amazing teacher whom my son loved dearly. I believe that she did her best to juggle that many kids. She is loving and teaches the kids a lot more than just Mandarin. She is always friendly, and seemed to genuinely care about my son. Even though Crossing Borders ended up not being for us, I do recommend them to any parent who's asking. They are well organized, have a fun playground, and they kids do learn whatever language you sign them up for . My son speaks to me regularly in Mandarin at home now, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I had been struggling to find an inexpensive, yet high quality gym that had a good variety of classes to fit my schedule. This location pretty much has classes all day long, I love it! So far I've attended Bodypump and cycling, and I highly endorse both. Something else I love is that they have Les Mills on-demand for the group fitness classes which means you can take a virtual on-demand class anytime there isn't a live class going on. They leave the rooms and equipment open so the possibilities are endless. FYI, the cycling bikes are compatible with SPD cleats.

I was a Y member for 10 years and this was probably my 2nd fave Houston area location after downtown. It did get busy during rush hour, but what doesn't. However, their prices shot up during COVID, they started limiting workouts and that lasted for ages, and became extremely shady with their finances. They still owe us $500 for all the money they charged us after we canceled, but the joke is on them, because I tell everyone their shady practices and they've probably lost a lot more than 500 in dues from me and a lot more than 50,000 in dues from the people I've told the honest truth to. The gym is clean and works well, though.

My daughter has gone here for about 8 months and really loves the IGT Girls Program (She is 6 years…read moreold - almost 7). The coaches in the program and the admin are all really great and care so much about the kids. I love that she gets to learn how to compete while still in level 1 and gets to practice competition before it gets more serious at higher levels. She is invested in the girls and their routine. The reason I gave it a 3 star: 4-5 star for coach Tessa 1-2 star for HGA and this is a cattle call for revenue when they have classes and there are so many kids it feels like daycare. Plus they have competitions but there is no format for the kids to practice. If your child needs extra assistance in one skill, there is no format to do a private to master the skill. They run this like a business and are not invested in developing and growing the children.

This is a great neighborhood YMCA with a good variety of amenities and classes. One of the biggest…read morehighlights is the outdoor pool, which is heated during the winter and stays open year-round unless temperatures drop below freezing. The pool also has a 9-foot deep end and a few lap lanes. One downside is there's very little shade around the pool area. Inside, there are free weights and cardio areas, basketball courts, TRX setup, and several group fitness rooms offering classes like yoga, pilates, Zumba, pickleball, and other fitness programs. The instructors and staff have always been very friendly and welcoming. The men's and women's locker rooms also include a steam sauna and hot tub, which are nice amenities. However, the steam saunas are frequently closed or broken for maintenance, so I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm what's currently working before visiting. Another downside is that the lockers require you to bring your own lock--they do not have built-in combination locks like many newer gyms. They offer memberships for different age groups, and another huge plus is the free covered parking garage. However, during weekday evenings (around 6 p.m.), the garage can get pretty full due to after-work crowds and youth programs. I've been a YMCA member for several years and would definitely recommend this location.
