The school was always such a happy place for my kids and they loved going. It's a smaller school so the teacher/staff are all involved in every classroom and know every kid by name. There is very low turnover on the staff so your children don't have to adjust to new teachers often. TCC uses an app and updates multiple times a day with pictures/activities, that was one of the hardest parts about moving on is not getting those updates every day. TCC also keeps things fun and stimulating for the children with theme weeks, extracurricular activities (Tippi Toes, Soccer Tots, Jolley Trolley), art, daily spanish class, and occasional music. If the weather is nice they try to give your kids extra outside time and in the summer do fun things like splash day/foam party/snoballs. The preschool program in particular is very impressive as far as learning and curriculum and my kids were more than prepared for grade school. They also have the choice of healthy/balanced lunches and snacks so it is one less thing for parents to worry about. The other families are wonderful as well and there is a great community. Parents are often invited to events for things like Halloween, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Christmas, and several others. The gifts they send for Christmas and Mothers and Fathers day that your child made are priceless and I treasure them so much. They have flexible part time options if you are looking for that. I wanted to observe them learning and interacting with the other kids that go to school with them, but also to be an active participant in the classroom myself. On top of all that, I was hoping for a play-based school, as research has shown that play is one of the best ways to learn. Beehive turned out to be the perfect fit! I loved getting to sit with my children during circle time, watch them navigate social circles, get messy in the mud kitchen, and of course there's always an art project (my children are avid artists, so my countertops are always covered in papers!) Because the school uses a play-based learning structure, activities are fluid and the students can pick and choose where they want to spend their time. Mine spent a LOT of time at the art table and have really progressed their fine motor and creativity skills. My twins just graduated this year and I am so sad to leave Beehive. It really felt like a close knit little community! I have to add- something unexpected were the relationships I gained with the teachers and other parents. Some of them have become close friends of mine which has been great for play dates! Maybe it's selfish, but I've loved getting to meet people (that I genuinely enjoy talking with) who share my parenting philosophy and have kids the same age as mine.

My son didn't like the food so they told me I could take him food, well I did and my son was never given the food. Very bad communication between the staff. I went up there to talk to the person in charge named Stephanie and she was very unprofessional, and very rude was raising her voice would not let me finish what I had to explain. Also when I told her I had reminded the lady in the front to let them know my kid had his own food, she responded that they had a million things to do to remember and that it takes time to serve away from the lunch lady to serve him different (heating up a corn dog) and for me to tell the lunch lady next time that I brought food so they can know. I explained that when I get there in the morning the lunch lady was not there she responded well she's in the outside rooms taking care of the infants... So im guessing the infants don't have a morning teacher either.. She also said since my son was not going to eat their food for me to go to his pediatrician and get a form saying he could only eat my food, which I thought that was not necessary. She should have took this matter a whole different way and instead of being ugly to me who I pay them to watch and feed him she should have got after her staff for not doing their job. This is not mentioning when my son came home with a big scratch near his eye, never got called about it saw it until my husband picked him up and all Mrs. Stephanie could say was they new who did it cause my son told on the little boy but that is because the little boy was an only child, his mother was pregnant, an he didn't know how to share the toys. I thought that was not a good excuse and I totally understand kids fight but where was the teacher when this happened. I saved of picture of my sons eye. They have too many kids and not many teachers. I have seen roaches and after all this incidents I just stopped taking him couldn't take it anymore.. I hate putting them out like this but I would hate to see any other parent or child go through this.. My poor son would come home starving, I hate myself for having my son go through all this and now I understand why my son cried every single day for the whole time he was there... I'm just a parent concerned about my son coming home so hungry not for her to treat me this way.. And no I was not in no assistance program I paid full amount daycare. I'm so glad I found a GREAT nanny and my son has never cried another day... thank you for your time you took in reading my post.

I started my son here when he was 3 and a half. He had a rough start because this was his first…read moreexperience away from mommy and daddy, but he quickly grew to love it! The staff at the front are knowledgeable and always greet us! The locked doors where you have to be buzzed in are great! It is always clean, and the kids get really good snacks and lunch. The people who work here are so kind and patient with kids, and I can tell they really love their kids and job! My only regret is not putting him in daycare sooner. He has learned so much! By the time he started pre k he knew his abc's and numbers and colors! He moved on to the 4 year old class with Mrs.Delores. She is such a caring and amazing teacher! I was sad when he turned 5 and moved to a different class, but his current teacher is just as great and he always has fun stories to tell me about his day. She is also helping him learn to finish his daily work. He would never finish just scribble. Ive seen so much improvement! I'm so proud of my big boy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE his teachers past and present! My other son started when he was 18 months. He is still having a hard time at drop offs, but when I check on my phone and see him on the cameras he is always playing and having fun. The amount of knowledge he has gained here in the first few months was great, but now it is amazing! He is 2 and know's his ABC's, how to count to 10, some colors, and just talks so well! Everyday he says something new to amaze me. He sings songs he learns in class, and the sign language! OMG! He knows quite a few signs and it just amazes me everytime I see him use them!
