If you are a KISS fan especially, there is a lot of specialized, rarer stuff here. But the rare inventory seems to come at the cost of all the inventory's pricing. The prices are 2-3 times what I've paid for the same condition pressings elsewhere- sometimes 4-5 times more. I'm not sure how it's getting these prices especially in a small town like Rochester. A bummer- if the prices were in line I would've bought a good dozen records!

Yelled at us for having conversations at a totally normal volume. Not for nothing there was no one else in there the entire 40 minutes we were there. Should've gotten his face punched in. This FYE location offers very competitive pricing and some pretty good sales and promotions such as Buy 3 Used CDs or DVDs, Get 1 Free, $7.99-$9.99 CDs, and $5 (with any purchase) impulse CDs & Movies at the counter. I've spent plenty of time shopping inside this FYE and I usually comparison shop before making my purchases. I've found that the sale prices here on several of the popular/new release CDs are sometimes priced lower than the nearby competition (Best Buy, Target, Bull Moose) . Recently, I bought several popular CDs here for $7 each during the Black Friday weekend event. Additionally, the Nashua and Salem locations also offer pretty good sale prices and selection. The FYE in Concord (smaller space) in contrast also offers sales too, but the sale prices there seem to be higher (by a few dollars) than the larger FYE locations. NOTE (Be warned if the staff offers you a membership card): FYE also offers a membership rewards program called FYE Backstage Pass VIP, which offers benefits including an extra 10 percent off (including sale items), 20 percent off on your birthday, bonus days, offers (via email), and plus discounts at other various merchants and restaurants too. The initial membership is free for the first month, then $11.99 is billed automatically to your credit card after the first month, but you can cancel it by calling a toll free number. I tried this BSP membership out a few years ago, but I cancelled it (20 days in) during the trial period with no charges.

Eclectic but sparse inventory for sale, and mostly overpriced. I pulled two LPs that said "ask for…read moreassistance" on the slip covers, so I did, and asked the owner to open them so I could inspect the vinyl's condition and ensure the inserts were included. He complied but also seemed annoyed, saying over and over that he always graded accurately. Sorry dude, but I don't know you, have never bought from you, and am not going to pay $$ for used vinyl without inspecting it first. Given all the alternatives available these days, I probably won't return.

Such a cool throwback music store…read more This small shop is located next to the County Kitchen that I'm a regular at and consistently going to just to get Matthew A off his Duke Ship here. The owner is named Jeff he's super laid back and a reminders me of a OH (original hipster- just made that up but as a gift to you I will let you use it-Your Welcome) not that new age hipsters that are taking over Brooklyn faster then that mice on a NYC subway station. This shop has all your favorite music that has inspired the vast majority if not all of the current music your hearing today. Jeff opened this store over 30 years ago and is a music genius himself. This shop is packed floor to ceiling with very cool Atracks, Vinyls, Tape Cassettes, CDs of all oldie but goodies. Music is a passion for some people and you can feel that this store is filled with not just music items but packed with Love. You can see that like this name of this shop music is in Jeff's DNA I'm not a music person. I love music but hated my grade school musical teacher so that were I being to dislike music.
