If you are a KISS fan especially, there is a lot of specialized, rarer stuff here. But the rare inventory seems to come at the cost of all the inventory's pricing. The prices are 2-3 times what I've paid for the same condition pressings elsewhere- sometimes 4-5 times more. I'm not sure how it's getting these prices especially in a small town like Rochester. A bummer- if the prices were in line I would've bought a good dozen records!

Yelled at us for having conversations at a totally normal volume. Not for nothing there was no one else in there the entire 40 minutes we were there. Should've gotten his face punched in. We come to the store every time that we are down that way, but will absolutely not be returning. Which is unfortunate because the store is cool, but the customer service was beyond unprofessional.

I've spent plenty of time shopping inside this FYE and I usually comparison shop before making my purchases. I've found that the sale prices here on several of the popular/new release CDs are sometimes priced lower than the nearby competition (Best Buy, Target, Bull Moose) . Recently, I bought several popular CDs here for $7 each during the Black Friday weekend event. Additionally, the Nashua and Salem locations also offer pretty good sale prices and selection. The FYE in Concord (smaller space) in contrast also offers sales too, but the sale prices there seem to be higher (by a few dollars) than the larger FYE locations. NOTE (Be warned if the staff offers you a membership card): FYE also offers a membership rewards program called FYE Backstage Pass VIP, which offers benefits including an extra 10 percent off (including sale items), 20 percent off on your birthday, bonus days, offers (via email), and plus discounts at other various merchants and restaurants too. The initial membership is free for the first month, then $11.99 is billed automatically to your credit card after the first month, but you can cancel it by calling a toll free number. I tried this BSP membership out a few years ago, but I cancelled it (20 days in) during the trial period with no charges.

Pro-tip though, whether for yourself or someone else, a gift certificate to this place is Ah-mazing. There are two ways to record shop: scour yard sales, antique stores, etc. with fervor, or go see the professionals that have already found great records in likely great condition and pay more for that service. Enterprise obviously falls into the latter category and 4 records, at least for what I usually find, can easily get to $60. Now, if you have a $40 GC and only need to drop $20? Awesome. Hell, maybe I'll just buy myself some $30 record because I can. Now, some people say the owner can be rude, and I'd probably use the word curt, but even that was probably 1 or 2 occasions (we're all allowed to have bad days) and I've never found him to be overtly rude. He's also pretty old school... like he's probably literally been in the record selling/collecting business for at least 30 years. He's very knowledgeable and has always been happy to assist me, but know that this is not Newbury Comics or Tower Records (do those even exist anymore?). More than that though, I think his collection is unrivaled in Portland. Visit the other guys too. The more records stores that exist the better and they'll certainly have things he doesn't, but if you can only visit a couple, make sure this is one of them. Hoping Enterprise lasts a lot longer in Portland.

He complied but also seemed annoyed, saying over and over that he always graded accurately. Sorry dude, but I don't know you, have never bought from you, and am not going to pay $$ for used vinyl without inspecting it first. Given all the alternatives available these days, I probably won't return.

The owner is named Jeff he's super laid back and a reminders me of a OH (original hipster- just made that up but as a gift to you I will let you use it-Your Welcome) not that new age hipsters that are taking over Brooklyn faster then that mice on a NYC subway station. This shop has all your favorite music that has inspired the vast majority if not all of the current music your hearing today. Jeff opened this store over 30 years ago and is a music genius himself. This shop is packed floor to ceiling with very cool Atracks, Vinyls, Tape Cassettes, CDs of all oldie but goodies. Music is a passion for some people and you can feel that this store is filled with not just music items but packed with Love. You can see that like this name of this shop music is in Jeff's DNA I'm not a music person. I love music but hated my grade school musical teacher so that were I being to dislike music. This new employee owned Bull Moose store is way less cramped than its former Sanford location, where I've shopped for music a long way back. This store had their grand opening a few months ago. Like its old location except more spread out inside, the Biddeford location offers a pretty good selection of new and used music, movies, video games, and books to choose from. The store is well organized nicely by sections with vinyl records, books, CDs, video games, DVDs, Blu-rays and miscellaneous items in between. The music is organized by genre alphabetically with a mix of new and used CDs, They also carry used cassettes ($3 each) underneath the old vinyls. The prices including the sale prices here are very competitive to the online music stores. The Bull Moose website is a good place to search and find which stores have your item or title in stock. They also do special orders and accept used music, movies, and video games for $$$ if in good condition. I spotted several used CDs from 20 years ago being sold for as low as $2.97, which I have in my personal collection and are no longer made. As a holder of the Bull Moose Music FBC (Freakin' Buyers Card), I earn points with each purchase here and receive the Bull Moose Music weekly emails with their e-sales flyers, new releases, promotions, and events (chainwide). IMO, the new Biddeford Bull Moose location is a great improvement to the older cramped location, though it's not as big as the Scarborough Superstore location.
