I have no idea why this page says it is wheelchair accessible. I typically use a rollator when I go out, and it could not fit in there. I'm mobile to to be able to switch to a cane for a short time, but that limits how long I can spend anywhere. The store is very tiny and cramped. It seemed very well stocked, but again, I could not stay long. Customer service was non-existence. The only thing the cashier said to me was asking if I wanted my receipt or not. read more

Boom Boom Games is fantastic. They are an absolute gem of a retro game and collectible store. Their inventory is my favorite part about them. They always have a lot of cool things in stock. They also have things you would have trouble finding elsewhere. You can visit them one week, and the next week they have more great stuff in. I haven't been a frequent customer at the other retro gaming stores in the area because it's always the same products. Boom Boom always has new and exciting things, so they're worth the frequent visits. They price things fairly, and their rewards program gives you opportunities to save money with points redemption. Every dollar counts! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They constantly run events in store. The owner, Ben, runs an Easter Egg Hunt around Billerica with prizes. My children love it and look forward to it annually! Boom Boom just recently did a Christmas raffle, and for Thanksgiving they did a Turkey Shoot (nerf gun to an electronic target) to determine percentage off the purchase. They keep things fresh and give everyone a chance to get involved in the fun. It's obvious how much the Ben cares and is passionate about the store, and the customers who frequent it. They're also very active on socials to keep everyone informed on the latest updates. I've recently them doing unboxing videos. They have been interesting to watch to get a first look at what's coming in. I am a collector of all things retro gaming, and Boom Boom games is where most of my items come from. Not to mention they have clothing items, retro toys to make you feel nostalgic, and it's not my thing, but they have a substantial wrestling toy and item collection. They also get video games and consoles in pretty quickly. I've gone there on the day of releases before to get games ahead of the crowd. This hasn't been an issue for them. Me and my family will definitely be back there often, as each one of us finds things we love at Boom Boom. read more

Great video game and hobby shop in Billerica, in Browns Corner. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and the store's fun to browse around. Store itself is on the small side, but it's easy to get around, and it has a lot of charm due to being full of cool stuff. Lots of retro game consoles, as well as more modern ones - I saw Switch, Wii/Wii U, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, X-Box, X-Box 360, X-Box One, Dreamcast, Sega Genesis, Master System, GBA, Game Boy, GBC, DS, 3DS, VR stuff, and others. Some cool collectable stuff as well, like a Valkyria Chronicles 4 box set, for example. Lots of unique peripherals and cables. I was able to find a pretty obscure GC-to-GBA connector cable by just asking the guy at the counter. There's video game-themed toys, snacks, drinks, and candy, as well as a section for wrestling hobby items and toys. There's some funko pops too, if you're into that kind of thing. Beyond that, I saw shirts, clothing, plushies, hot wheels, Pokemon cards, ninja turtles/jurassic part toys, posters, things like that. There was a cool rack of various Nintendo Power issues in the corner. I also saw some signs talking about a game space / arcade area, that might be coming in the future. Boom Boom arcade is a few doors down from Boom Boom Games. Just an FYI... I walked in, nicely air conditioned :) The guy there was really nice, but I'm going to assume he wasn't aware of how close he was to me. I'm 5'2" - 110lbs and very petite. I asked if they had Xbox 360 games. It was in a small corner and only 1 person can fit in this corner. He showed me the selection and I was hoping he'd retreat back behind the counter, but he stood there and basically I was boxed in. I tried to verbally give the "okay, thanks. I'll just take a look."He just stood there. I felt a little uncomfortable due to the tight corner. I picked up a game and looked at it. He got into a whole story about it. I was not going to get rid of him unless I really told him off. I have no problem doing that, but I also did want a game. I just let him blab. Whatever... I did get a game in the end: Metal Gear Solid pack. Would I go back: yes, but I'll be more frank with the worker from the beginning so he knows to just let me roam on my own. read more

Great experience entering this shop friendly staff and I was hit with waves of nostalgia. Great place to check out and pick up some old and new games. Wasn't able to check it out but they were opening an arcade too! Will be going back to check it out next time in in the area. read more

Boom boom games is greatness that GameStop never was. If you can think of a game system, they probably have it in stock, along with games and accessories. And in the event they do not have a system, their staff is very accommodating, and will be able to find it for you. They have a ton of collectibles, trading cards and stickers and often run promotions! I would say, stop by the store and give it a look through, you will probably find something you like. They also service game systems that are not working properly. I would recommend this store to any gamer/collector. The energy in that store is night and day difference from a GameStop. You feel like part of the family there and the staff are actually trying to help you out. They also sell some killer beef jerky. I almost forgot to add that the owner and some of the employees sponsor and play on a men's flag football team that recently won a championship and they have jerseys available for orders.
