As a touring musician you can't guarantee what coffee is around. I would cross the Canadian border every day if I could to have this level of care and flavor in my coffee every day. Whatever you think is 5 stars, throw it out and try this instead. It resets the bar

One of my biggest joys when travelling in new cities, is exploring for coffee shops. I don't do Starbucks and prefer to support small businesses , so luckily for me this was a quick walk from my place and boy was it wonderful. Exactly the vibe I was going for, small, minimalist, tasty coffee, friendly barista. Highly recommend !

Great service and great coffee! Wednesday morning of our vacation I woke up before everyone else and I was Jonesing for a good coffee so I walked over to Bulldog and when I walked in was immediately greeted with by a very friendly barista. I asked about the macadamia coffee and the barista explained macadamia is actually the type of milk not the type of coffee. Happily I ordered a macadamia macchiato, it was delicious! Seriously this is a psa for everyone do not sleep on macadamia milk it is so so good! I also got a ham and cheese croissant sandwich also delicious! I wish I could have hung out maybe read a book and enjoyed the vibes but I had to get back. Had I not been quite so hung over the next morning I would have stopped by again before we left.

Best coffee in the area! I come for the bulldog but all the drinks are great. Local owner who has been here for years, has an interesting life story, and is super passionate about coffee. Located right off of church street.

This coffee shop appears to be a one-man show. Apparently the barista has won an award. I can't really tell the difference between good and bad coffee, so I'm not going to comment on that. When I look for a new coffee shop is a nice place to sit and talk to my friends. Although the decor is attractive in a spare sort of way, the seating is not very comfortable and when I was there, we were not allowed to use the bathroom. So it doesn't really suit my needs as a comfortable place to hang out and talk to friends.

Stopped here while I was in town visiting a few weeks ago. Primarily stopped to try the famous Rainbow latte. A little pricey but worth it! The coffee was really smooth, and if you order the rainbow the barista (who happens to be the top ranked barista in Toronto it said) gives you a show of adding in the colors to your drink. He was very kind and it shows that he loves what he does. A little hard to find at first. There's a sign on the sidewalk directing you, but I missed it the first time. It's inside the Assembly Chef's Hall. Considering the price it wouldn't be my every day stop, but if I lived there or visited again I'd definitely pop in from time to time to try their other specialty drinks.

This place has got so many lively vibes.. from their healthy/attractive Sweet treats to the pretty looking drinks. Oh not just pretty but also very tasty as they look. I have almost tried all of their drinks and found the Nutella is by far the best! Have also tried the bite size treats.. you can see the quality of each that is on display.

Great coffee. Not an expert so I can't really comment on the details of the roast or texture or technique (see other reviews), but it tasted pretty damn good. My friend who IS a coffee snob agreed. But wow, the barista (the owner I think) is such an awesome guy! Super nice and friendly, with a highly infectious energy that truly shows how passionate he is about the drinks he makes. The store is right next to the entrance of the Assembly Chef's Hall, and when we walked out after a couple of hours he thanked us with such fierce enthusiasm that I was tempted to stop and get another cup right then and there lol. I would actually come back just to see the smile on his face again (errrrr, I meant that in the most non-weird way possible). Here's to hoping they open other locations ASAP - will be recommending to all my friends (coffee snobs or otherwise).

It's really close to this shop I grab my glass from (you should also check them out, they're the best) so I would most likely stop by here again. I ended up trying their matcha coconut drink because of the promotion they had (buy one get one free, it was a good deal). The drink itself was refreshing, creamy, and had a nice balance between the earthy matcha and the sweetness from the coconut. It did feel lighter than expected, maybe because of the coconut base. The atmosphere also stands out, it has that nostalgic vibe that people seem to associate with the brand. The drinks are a little pricey without the promotion, and the sweetness might be a bit much depending on what you order (it was a tad bit sweet). But overall, I'd come back to explore more of the menu.

Walking inside, the warm cosy lighting and long barista/display counter immediately caught our eye. While it was relatively busy, it was also fairly quiet - perfect for those who wanted a quieter space as well as those looking for soft, casual conversation. We were sucked in by the delectable looking strawberry roll cake in the display counter for an early dessert! The cake was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, balanced with just the right amount of strawberry & whipped cream filling. We also shared a hot, unsweetened matcha latte. The bitterness of the matcha, creaminess of the frothed milk & whipped cream, and sweetness of the cake were a perfect culinary match :) Would definitely come back for another visit!

I know that the ube trend is taking over but PLEASE before you advertise your product as such, DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure that you are actually serving the thing. I'm Filipino and not only did I feel so offended by how this tasted, I also felt like I should be refunded. First of, the ube mixture was RED. I don't know where you're getting your ube mixture from but ube is PURPLE. The powder was chunky and did not at all taste like ube. Please, I get it we all want to make money from whats popular but take time to educate yourself.
