I needed a battery replacement for my laptop. I mistakenly called Best Buy and spent too much time with a fellow in Mumbai. He solved my problem by giving me a bad number for the geek nonsense squad in Carson City. Through a lengthy process, I reached a living person who told me i needed an appointment. I kept the appointment to learn that I drove 40 miles to be told Geek does not get batteries for laptops. So, tiring of the spectacular incompetence of Best Buy, I called Bulldog PC. They said, "Come on down." I did, and 30 minutes later, I walked out with a newly installed battery at a great price. Never use Geek squad. read more

So glad I found this computer repair shop. I had a computer crash and all my info with no back up- (My Bad ). I called on a Monday morning- figured it would be at least a week to be back in business. Lindsey told me to bring in right away and he would check out. I went to shop-(11.30 AM) He was not there but his assistant said he was gone to another client. I figured that it would be another day. I left computer and my information, Lindsey called within an hour (12.30PM ) of me leaving shop. I told him the issues, he said he would check out and call back. He called back 1.30PM. He told me what needed to be done. My Laptop was 12 years old so it was not worth repairing. He made me a a great deal on a newer laptop, transferd all my information - and he go it all done. The guy was very nice so that's a good sign but when I sent in my MacBook with a broken screen, he took the whole thing apart, called me and said he couldn't do it, which is fine of course, the problem that I had was he sent my laptop back in pieces and not everything was there, making it next to impossible to put it back together. This place is amazing! The owner cares about you even if he just met you. I have serious health issues and so I don't get to do a lot of normal things that I would like to do. So I like music and writing. He helped me get my old laptop up and running but said it might not work right. Which it does have its issues but still with how old it is he tried his best not his fault. I did end up buying one of his laptops and so far I am very happy with it but since I am computer stupid I will need his help again. But he will have me until the end of time. I was trying to get help with my son's computers. He live-streams games on twitch, and uploads them onto YouTube. He uses two high end computers. He was having problems with chatting on discord. After messing around with the settings, I called Bulldog PC Repair to seee if they could help me. This is the setup: Two pc's running Windows 10 i7 9700k and i9 9900k cpu RTX2080 and RTX2080ti gpu Behringer mixer Elgato 4K HD Pro capture card XLR mic Audio-Technica headphones OBS software to stream on twitch I called him because he has a gaming cafe so I figured he would be the one to straighten it out. I asked if he was familiar with this type of setup, specifically working with mixers. He said yes and that he would send somebody over. I was expecting a young gamer. Well, the guy he sent was in his fifties, and he obviously was in over his head. He pulled a few connections, made a few adjustments to some settings, then he looked quizzically at it for a few moments, and stood there for a bit before I called it quits. I knew by his reactions that he wouldn't figure it out in the hour he was here, so I cut my losses and thanked him for trying. I feel that Lindsay just told me what I wanted to hear so that I would hire him, because if he would have been honest about it I would have declined. In his defense, he is a nice guy and so was his tech, and they were very prompt and showed up as promised. Maybe some other type of computer problems are his niche, but this was definitely not in his expertise. read more

My laptop broke where it plugs in for recharging. Being a grad student, I depend heavily on my computer and glad that I brought it to Bulldog for repair. Owner is very friendly and helpful and the cost to fix it was very reasonable. I have a 2nd laptop and he cleaned up all the garbage that it came with and now it's running much more efficiently, plus he installed word, power point and excell that are needed and again, he didn't break my bank. I went to this place to buy a laptop called Bulldog PC Repair. The owner sold me a Sony laptop that unknown to me had a generic battery in it and no working CD/DVD drive (That the owner of a computer repair place didn't notice): The battery still worked. I was still able to use the laptop as a mobil, unplugged computer, the battery just had a little less life than I expected.My wife and I took the laptop in asking about an external CD/DVD drive. The owner, Lindsey, told us that he would fix it for free, since it should have been working from the beginning. When we picked up the laptop, he told me that the battery was not working at all because it wasn't a Sony battery. He stated that, although it might cost as much as $100, he would pay for it since it was his error in selling me a laptop with a bad battery. After waiting WAY TOO LONG for my battery (because he forgot about me) I went in to the store. When I walked in, he had a Sony battery that he tried to charge me $50 for. Once he realized the battery was one he ordered for someone else, I had to refresh his memory (pun intended) about who I was and my situation (for the third time in a month). He told me "If the battery cost $50 like the one he had, them I would pay half, but if the battery was less than $50, it would be free." The battery was only $30, but he still wanted to charge me for half of it. I reluctantly agreed, and proceeded to wait even longer. When the battery was FINALLY ready to be picked up, I tried to politely talk to Lindsey, the owner, about the cost and why there shouldn't be one. Lindsey became very short with me being rude and combative... He even had his son-in-law try to physically remove my wife and I from his store even though I was not rude, and never once raised my voice. I felt as though I was in danger of being on a physical confrontation. I've never had such a horrible experience anywhere in my life. This man had his daughter, son- in- law and their 2 kids all behind the counter, and my wife and I were the only customers in the store and we will NEVER be back. I hope that this is how the rest of his experience owning his store goes.... The only people inside are non money spending family, and non money spending customers that will never come back. Can't wait to see a "For Rent" sign on his building. Some people just have no business owning a business. read more

I had such a terrible experience with the owner of this shop. He has an explosive temper. He screamed at me on the phone, in person in his shop, and again in the parking lot. I don't think he would argue when I say that he's not a tech, since he told me himself he's not a tech. Absolutely nothing went right from the start. He and his tech got themselves into one mess after another, by not properly assessing the computer from the start. I don't think he can argue with me about saying that either, since he took full responsibility for the mistakes when he was complaining about being upside in the job. In the end, after them having my computer for more than a week, they returned my computer without anything being fixed. The fixes could have been so simple, had the owner not complicated everything by recommending I replace one of my 500 G hard drives with a 4T hard drive, giving me a lot more space for my photos. in the end, after he already bought the new hard drive, what he said could be done was not possible, and I would have bought a new hard drive for only 1T more space, which isn't worth doing. None of this was on me. All the mistakes were his and his techs. He was still yelling at me in the parking lot, even after they decided to return my computer and give me a refund. I asked him to stop yelling, because it was driving my blood pressure up (I'm 70 and on meds for blood pressure) and making me feel ill. His response... It's my store, and I'll do what I want. This is a very large man. He's at least 6'2", brawny and bald with a beard, and didn't hesitate to tell me that he's done time. I'm OK with that, or I wouldn't have done business with him, but what does bother me is that he talks a lot about being a born again Christian. This is not my idea of how a Christian acts. I'm sure he'll try to blame everything on my "attitude", but as fellow customers, you can see why after more than a week, I had to ask questions and express my unhappiness with the situation. He just didn't want to hear it. He talks a lot of about money not being important to him, only that his customers are happy, but how does that work if you can't tell him if you're unhappy? I couldn't be more unhappy. read more
