You're going to pay more but call McDonald septic. They answer their phone and return phone calls when they say they are going to. Bulldog doesn't consider it an emergency when you're sitting with a full septic holding tank and can't flush your toilet anymore and are using a porta potty. We called to have septic jetted. They came out, with NO jetted. dug hole broke a pipe, said we needed new drain field. Charged us $500 to drain and break a pipe. referred us to a place for a loan for a new drain field. they denied breaking the pipe said it was root damage. We had ROTOROOTER come out to Jet the drain field and outlets. Found one clog from septic to drain field. Our drain field was free of debri they said it looked good. Being a first time trailer owner, I called to inquire about pricing, Kim talked to me for 45 min helping me understand my trailers needs, do's and don't she was super sweet and helpful. Several times i have text messaged Stephanie for random questions needing help and she responds within 10 min. I even messaged her at 1 am when my pump was acting up. Bulldog Septic (Larry) may do good work, digging, excavating and such; however the owner's wife (Kim) runs the office and all the phone communication. She didn't get back to me for months after she said she would in the fall. When I finally reached her before the spring, she said that I needed to have my property surveyed (even though there were corner markers in place). She never mentioned this need for a survey to me in the fall when I could have scheduled a survey, etc- and then told me I was at the bottom of their list for spring work on their schedule. I quickly found another company that said a survey was expensive and unnecessary (and so did Deschutes County)! What a ridiculous, uninformed woman! She lost their company our business and everyone else I could tell. Stay away from Bulldog Septic unless you can get around the wife yammering on the phone to you. She's unsophisticated and definitely doesn't know what she's talking about. read more

Where to start? Maybe I should start off with they originally told me my new septic would be done in a week or two and I was high priority on their list. They ended up taking my money and ran. If I reached out it was excuse after excuse. Promises that were never kept. It wasn't till a year later with little to no communication from them, a threat to cancel the deal and I'm getting a lawyer. They all a sudden wanted to do something. It took them a month to do the job. They were very lazy and unprofessional about it. When they were done they said you are good to go. The next day this alarm was going off every 10 minutes. Called them up. They said push the button. I pushed the button 10 minutes later alarm goes off. Called them up they did nothing. Finally after a few back and forth they came out and did nothing. Ended up calling up the electriction who hooked up the electrical. He asked why they said it was good to go when he wasn't done yet and it wasn't suppose to be used or turned on yet. He came out unhappy at them and had nothing good to say about Bulldog. Bulldog tore the heck out of my yard then told me they don't do landscaping or haul anything off the lot. They left huge dirt piles in my yard filled with large rocks one of the piles was a few feet from my septic tank which they said I can not drive on or near. I asked them to move the dirt pile they said they do not do landscaping and if I wanted the dirt moved it would be an extra 5k. Borrowed my friends tractor to clean up their mess. In the dirt piles I found they burried spetic lines, drain lines, trash, and packaging material. Bulldog is lazy, unprofessional, bad business owners, poor at communication, no common courtesy, way over priced for the level of work and quantity of work they do. Bulldog did an exceptional job replacing our tank, troubleshooting long-existing issues and making sure we had a complete working system when they were done. As a bonus, even though the tank had to be removed and a larger one installed, they worked hard to cause as minimal disruption to our landscape as possible. One of the worst experiences with any kind of contractor I've ever had. We asked about an estimate. They called last minute while they were already on their way. This was after we wrote them off as they originally said they could t make it out until August. This was back in May I believe. No previous notice. Nobody was home but we said ok as my wife would be home before they were done looking around. The agreement was that for the estimate/quote they needed to check things out. While they were there they drove on out land past the house with there truck. They never asked or said anything about that. They dug around also without letting us know before hand. At this point my wife arrived home toward the very end of all this. The inspector was carrying a gun on our property without informing us first. I personally don't have an issue with guns but it made my wife very uncomfortable. A week or so later we received a $260 bill for the estimate/quote. It was never once mentioned to my wife or myself that any kind of fee would be charged for an estimate/quote. I understand that some companies do charge an estimate fee but it has ALWAYS been divulged to us. And if there is we never go with that company. It's nothing personal we just don't want to pay an estimate fee. And if they had told us there was a fee we would have NEVER accepted they to come out. Then when I confronted them about it they lied as I has someone painting my house at the time they arrived and confirmed my time line but they said my wife was there the whole time which is a lie. I paid for weekly service but only received weekly service about 50% of the time. I had to call many times to ask that they perform the service I was paying for. The toilets themselves seemed nice and up to date but only holds two rolls of TP. If you have a large crew and they don't service weekly you will need to buy extra TP. Heads up the phone number on the portable toilet is a personal phone of the owner. She gets very irate if you call too early. We are using a different service now. Apparently the owner lives on the east coast since I don't even get up before 6am and they said I called at 3. They obviously did not service weekly since I kept having to call. no reason to call if the unit had been serviced. read more

If I could give a minus star I would. My husband had to deal with them due to septic problems and we had to fork out $1500 upfront just for a "quote" for a bigger job ahead. Spoke to them just before New Years and asked for their quote several times via emails and phone calls but nothing was given. All we get are more bills !! And we havent even given them the contract or the green light to do anything. Just to get them to give us a quote has now cost us almost $3000 and its already almost end of Feb and STILL nothing is done! We finally found another reliable company that, as soon as we spoke to them, said they would go out to the house and have a look, no upfront payments of any kind, came back and gave us a quote a few days later, still no upfront money required!! They sent a very professional contract with a breakdown of the work that will be done and what the cost of it all would be. Still no upfront cost requested. Larry Dobbs and his wife Kim are amazing honest people. on June 14, 2018 I was riding my motorcycle and my wallet fell out of my pocket on 3rd and Greenwood. a couple hours later I get a knock on my door and Larry and his wife were at my door with my lost wallet! Good honest people that aren't out to gouge you when you are in a urgent need of there service. Helped us out on a snowy day. Thought the septic tank was full. They came and assessed the situation and found it was just a plugged pipe and the tank didn't need pumped. They cleared the blockage (they had to go get a different truck) and didn't do anything that wasn't needed to just hike up the bill. Only charged for the pipe clog. I had Bulldog Septic come out and pump/inspect my septic system. I chose them because their price was reasonable compared to others I got quotes from and they were able to come out quickly. Everything went great until it was time for payment. I received an invoice as part of an e-mail chain with my real estate agent, who scheduled the service. In the e-mail it stated the amount due. I e-mailed the company to ask about my payment options, specifically asking about paying with check or credit card. I received a reply stating either was fine. I called Bulldog the next day and spoke with Kim Dobbs. I gave Kim my credit card info and confirmed the amount with her. Kim now told me the amount was well higher than the invoice amount. When I asked why it was now higher she told me the credit card company charges them a 10% fee, which she has to pass on. I told her I would just pay with a check because there was no way I was paying a 10% fee. Kim told me she already ran the card. I told her to credit my card back and I would send a check. She told me she didn't trust that I would pay after she cancelled the card transaction. We went back and forth with Kim refusing to cancel my card transaction. My real estate agent had to take a check to her at 7pm to satisfy her! I will NOT be doing business with this company again. Very unprofessional! read more
