The bar was pretty bad, which ended up a joke connecting strangers. Though the food far exceeded expectations, even with a to-go order. I ordered the "award-winning" chili without high hopes, because everyone thinks theirs is. However, this chili was amazinggg. I still find myself thinking about it. Fish and chips, hot and crispy. Not a fan of the pork "nachos". Succotash with the BBQ cheddar melt was amazing. Finger prints on the actual sandwich caught us off guard but I mean it is what it was. The kitchen was clearly slammed. With a large event going on, I can't complain too much about waiting for my order. I saw a couple wait 15 minutes just for a slice of cheesecake. Meh. While the lodge was slammed due to multiple conferences, I went down on two occasions where I was the only customer in the facility. The service it self was slow but friendly enough. Both times it took quite a while for the bartenders to acknowledge me. Food was great & there's a variety to choose from. Since this restaurant also accommodates the pool there are a ton of flies that were coming in from the outside. read more

It's a cute little restaurant/Pub next to the pool at Legacy Lodge. We had cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries. They were cooked perfectly. I also had a delicious Lemon drop carefully crafted by the bar tender who was knowledgeable about the foods I could eat as a gluten intolerant guest. Service was extremely slow. We waited for 35 plus minutes for an appetizer on a non busy night, 15 minutes for a Diet Coke and one and half hours for our food. What a nice surprise. Was at Bullfrog's for work project and had the opportunity to enjoy lunch. When asking the staff what to try they all recommended the Salmon BLT and the Southwest Salad which me and my business associate had. Wow what a hot mess express. First off we waited forever for a confused staff to finally seat us, they were empty on a Friday night. Apparently we r the only idiots in the hotel who didn't know better that were there, first time last. The nachos were soggy and gross, canned melted cheese soup then they slapped some old gross shredded beef on top. The Cesar salad had stale old Croutons, gross. For the snapper, it was deep fried with no breading to a dusty crisp, not even edible. The street corn was also deep fried to a disgusting mess. The guys back there cooking had ZERO F's to give on the food. The staff acted brian dead. The bartender brought two glasses of white wine and asked who ordered the Cabernet? We had to chase down the servers for everything including to order. They all acted like they were high or something. -5 stars ! read more

Nice casual restaurant located inside Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier. The service was good and we enjoyed our burgers and fries, although the fried chicken was a bit too salty for my taste. I definitely recommend the funnel cake straws with chocolate dipping sauce---divine! read more

While staying at the lodge ate there, wait time was 20 mins to get table with no one really eating inside , short staff, the waitress super nice, we had a party of 6 people and the the food is not worth the money. A burger with tots is 18.00 (big splash with tater crowns what they call it). With two adult meals, app, kids meal and two sodas cost me $78.11, salads came after the meal, the food was not worth the money. next time we come we will find somewhere else to eat. The waiter was great, had to eat here twice during a conference and the food was horrible. My patty melt was burnt to charcoal, dry, and the toast was hard. The pasta wasn't much better. Staying at legacy lodge for a couple of days. Tried to call to order food from here several times so I could just go down and pick it up, but nobody would answer the phone. Go down to order and asked for ranch for my fries was told yes , wasn't told that they would charge me for it, saw it after I paid for it. That's something you Always tell a customer, it's not about the 50 cents, it's about letting the customer know that there's a charge . Got a patty melt, the meat wasn't cooked enough , for 16.00 wasn't that great but no other restaurants open, the other one here in the lodge is just breakfast only. If I could give 0 stars I would. Arrived for an event and wanted to grab a bite. Where to begin.... my server brought out my colleagues food but not mine. ( thinking ok... they may be busy.) To find out later my server forgot to put in my order ( sigh.) When everyone was done eating my food finally arrived. Located at legacy resort on lake Lanier this establishment leaves much to be desired to say the least. Average bar food. Wings, burgers, a few seafood items. It's success is built on being that it's on site and keeps you from having to drive 10 plus miles to get a decent meal anywhere else. Other than that not much to brag about. We experienced very friendly service from everyone who talked to us, despite it being Christmas, so odds were they'd really rather not be there. The drink list is extensive and inventive! Good selection of beers on draft, and I was intrigued by their cider cocktail menu as well. Food offerings are pretty standard American bar fare, but the burger and wings we ordered were done well. we are here at legacy lodge for the weekend, one of my favorite 'close-by' getaway spots. we've been coming here for years. most memorable was when my daughter was a toddler... now she's heading off to college *sniffle*! anyway, bullfrogs is where we come when hanging out by the pool. it's one of those pool-by-the-lake casual restaurants. i'm giving it 5 stars because it's exactly what it's supposed to be. it's not a gourmet restaurant. it has somewhat basic options, but everything we had tasted fresh... the food was delicious and the staff were really attentive!! read more

Just arrived here for a work trip for the golf tournament. I was just totally ignored as I sat at the bar waiting for a greeting, a menu, or something. But nothing. The bartender proceeded to go to the other guest as if I was a ghost as if he didn't see me. I'm super disappointed speaking that this is my first night and I will be here for another 2! After 10 mins of not being greeted, I just left. The host said so soon?? and I responded no one helped me. Dined at Bullfrogs yesterday and experienced great drinks, wonderful meal and super service. We arrived a bit early for dinner as we came to see the light show and advised the host Robert that we were in no hurry to eat. Consequently, we had drinks, soup, salad and our entrees over a leisurely two hour period. All the meal suggestions made by our server Stephanie were delicious. My wife had the turkey special and I had the BBQ ribs with an excellent Mexican corn on the cob and very good French fries. The half rack was more than enough and you would have to have a big appetite to finish a full rack. The home made chicken vegetable soup was especially tasty and my Caesar salad came with shaved Parmesan cheese with dressing on the side. Topped things off with a slice of apple crisp pie a la mode. Even got to meet the manager Melissa who delivered the pie. All in all a great dining experience. Not the typical "bar" food. We will be back! read more

We were on a hike by Buford Dam Road and decided to see if any restaurants on the lake were open during the winter season. We came upon Bullfrogs Bar and Grill and decided to check it out. As we arrived in the area, we noticed there was a guard gate. The guard was friendly and funny and let us know it would be a $3 parking fee to get in and park. He also informed us that it was inside a hotel. It was on the first floor and luckily we did not feel under dressed in our hiking clothes. Our server was kind, friendly, attentive and funny. We each started with a drink (Bloody Mary and Sterling Merlot) and an appetizer (the hummus). The hummus was very good although we expected it to come with carrots and celery along with the mushroom fries and pita bread but instead arrived with chips along with the mushrooms and pita. My husband ordered the half rack ribs as recommended by the server and I ordered the grilled chicken skillet. Both entrees were delicious and the presentation was very nice. The ambiance was nice and definitely had a lodge feel to it. We will certainly be back. read more

When the lodge is the venue for a large conference; you'd think more staff would be on hand for the surge of customers- they aren't. Ordered wings, they are ok. Average bar food. Nothing special, though they seem like they are trying to give an extra touch with their food. They threw on some ingredients to a lot of our dishes we weren't expecting. Not that it was a bad thing, but the cooking styles and spices are still subpar. For example, their pasta dish (can't remember the name, but its the only one on the menu) had an interesting mix of chunked tomatoes, jalapeños, black eyed peas, mushrooms, and lightly sauced. That was a terrible, terrible dish agreed by everyone at the table. Asked for medium well, got medium (commonly happens, NBD), but it wasn't seasoned and had a deep, charred flavor. Some like that, some dont. Certainly wasnt a $14 burger. Overall, just average bar food. Literally nothing more. read more

OMG! Don't eat at this place. We are staying at the lodge and this place was our first food experience after our arrival. I gave it one star just because our server was sweet and took the horrible nachos off our bill and my side salad was very good. As far as our main dishes, it was a complete waste of money. My wife's chicken sandwich was so dry, over cooked, had sweet pickles and was extremely bland. The same result with my fish pub sandwich which also had bitter sweet pickles on it. Maybe sweet pickles on a sandwich is a southern thing, but I'm only used to dill pickles on sandwiches, unless otherwise stated. Bitter pickles make me want to puke. I wasn't expecting spectacular food for bar food, but $15 for a sandwich should at least be cooked and seasoned properly. Oh yeah, Don't waste your time with their over raved about chili. Unless you like bland kidney beans with a teaspoon of beef. Everything is so bland. Perhaps it was a bad chef night. Unfortunately there are limited food options out here on the island so we will be forced to try another restaurant tomorrow. We are mainly here for the New Years party and a romantic get away.
