You can tell he has a passion for what he does and was able to judge our taste pallets for things we would like. He made the trip worth it alone. There was an insane amount of shredded chicken and the house made tortilla chips were some of the best I've had. I also had some of the boneless wings and were pretty impressed and would recommend both items. Otherwise, since it is a pub atmosphere, the music is a little on the loud side, if you want to have conversation during dinner (which most people do). I would recommend moving the pool table elsewhere as it is very distracting to diners. Otherwise, the waitresses are very attentive and friendly, and I have never had a "wrong" order. I also enjoy seeing all the neighbors in AV while there. Whether having a full meal, appetizers or just coffee and chatting one is treated very good. My husband's entree was tasty but essentially was pretty bare. His salad was decent though. This restaurant must understand that the eye eats as well as the stomach because when the entrees arrived at our table the plates were rather underwhelming. We also ordered coffees and the gentlemen at the front said he would make a pot of fresh coffee. (He never did). The coffee we were served was old. Apparently, coffee isn't a big draw at this place. The best part was the gluten-free brownie and ice cream at the end. All in all, the place is nice and clean. The food is decent but there is room for improvement.
