Great, taught me how to control my little lady in a matter of one session. Aggression on leash is almost completely gone since we've been practicing and it's been a week. I went to trainers before him which were horrible experiences, was told to put down my older pitbull and that she was too old to train, that people wouldn't train her because she's a pitbull, and all Mike's recommendations & teaching helped us turn things around for her. She's now much happier and safer as am I. If you are worried about using a prong collar just test it out on yourself first it doesn't hurt, same with a shock collar, I mean that one stings but it's nothing unbearable which made me feel better about using them on my ladies. i had a terrible experience with this place. my dog came back more aggressive & anxious. my dog was also skinnier than ever. he was caked with mud & had matted fur. he didn't receive any training. i got no advice whatsoever. its been a few years and i still regret sending him here all the time. please don't send your dogs to this man. read more

If I could give a zero star review I would , I would not trust mike with my dog, mike himself is both aggressive and not qualified would not recommend him to any one work with this company. After leaving a review on another platform he is consistently calling and threatening me because he was called out for not being able to help. Dogs feed off of the energy of the trainer and I could not imagine this person stopping aggression based on the threatening voicemails left by this individual it is absolutely despicable. Went to meet with Mike 3 years ago for our 5 year old pitbull mix Sully . Sully was having some dog aggression issues while on walks (on leash) . Mike worked with Sully and fixed the issues. Mike is great with dogs and is an honest no BS kind of guy . I wouldn't trust my pup with anyone else . Mike saved my pit bulls life. He had serious aggression issues and had bitten our landscaper. Another trainer suggested we put him down as he believed there was no Chance to save my dog and alter his behavior. Fortunately my daughter found mike's website and we gave it one last try. My dog went to a two week boot camp with mike. When we called to pick him up, mike said he was not ready and needed another week. He stayed another week and mike refused any additional payment as mike was not satisfied that my dog was not ready. My dog is now a well trained loving dog. We can take him on car rides and to the park without any issues. Unless he sees a squirrel go up a tree. Lol. We travel a lot and use mike for boarding. My dog loves to stay there and we feel very comfortable leaving him there for 10 days or more if needed. I would recommend mike and his staff to everyone read more

I am over the moon for this man!!!! He literally saved my pit bull Sadie from that next step that nobody wants to think about for their dog. He is direct, straight to the point, and his methods work!!!! This is if you follow through with them. He was thorough and took the time to answer every single question with detail. Easy five stars. My wife and I have tried every dog trainer in town - including Urban Dawgs, PetSmart, and many others. Most wanted to throw treats at the dog and charge us $1000 for several sessions. Mike accomplished more than all of them in under two hours. We have a large German Shepherd who had a serious issue with other dogs and an occasional freakout at people as well. We are now taking her to the park every day and are constantly getting compliments on her good behavior. The difference is night and day. The woman (Kaleena) who wrote the bad review isn't telling the whole story. Mike and Amy knocked on her door for 29 minutes. He went to his truck to get his phone and the step broke as he was getting in. That's why he was "tinkering" with his vehicle. How about opening the door and talking to him instead of watching from inside for 20 minutes. Mike and Amy just left my home where they helped turn my 100 lb American Bulldog's negative and seemingly aggressive behavior completely around. While we know we must continue to work with him, we now know what we need to do to help him become a better K-9 citizen. They will not only show you what to do, they will explain why you need to do it. They will also explain why your dog is behaving the way he/she is. Understanding why your dog is behaving badly is just as important as knowing how to correct it. This not only includes handling your dog with basic obedience but having more awareness in social situations and an understanding of your dog's body language which will help you to proactively correct your dog before a closed mouth becomes a bite. My husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about Mike from Bully Behaven!! He is the reason we have been able to keep our beautiful pup. We went to Mike after we went to a trainer in Red Bank who claims to know about aggression and Pit Bulls. The trainer in Red Bank explained that we should put our dog down because of her aggression and told every rescue in the state she was "unadoptable" and should be euthanized. When we told Mike the situation he already knew of the other trainer and his "reputation" and said that aggression can be fixed with persistence. Mike came to our home and within 20 minutes we noticed a significant difference with our 2-year old BullBoxer. She was no longer barking at people or trying to lunge. It was unbelievable!!! One session with a great trainer is all that's needed! We love our dogs and wanted a happy calm home with our newborn. Mike made that happen for us. If there were more stars, Mike would deserve them all. I've hired 3 trainers to work with my dogs over a couple of years, but we continued to have the same issues with leash aggression, barking and fear. With a 10 month old baby, I knew I had to do something asap. A quick google search and decision to go with a behaviorist and not just someone listed as a trainer landed me on Mike's website. The best thing to happen to us. It's only been three days and I already don't recognize my dogs. If I can already see results, I can't wait to see where they will be a few months from now when I use all the tools Mike has shown us. If I had to narrow down what I gleaned from his philosophy, I would say it's occam's razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the best one. Everything Mike has shown us has been simple, and it's made it easy for us to follow through and be consistent which I think is why we are seeing results so quickly. Very simply, Mike changed our dog's life. I cannot recommend him highly enough. After half a dozen trainers over the last several years, we were fed up with his escalating fear and aggressive behavior. Cooper spent three weeks with Mike after it was finally became too overwhelming for us to deal with. When we picked Cooper up, he was almost unrecognizable. ALL of his bad behaviors were completely eliminated. The sounds he used to be afraid of - gone. The growling - gone. Leash aggression - gone. A friend who has known our dog his whole life (he just turned 8) spent the weekend with us and commented multiple times that he is a totally new dog; she was in disbelief. If I could give a 1000 stars I would. I am so thankful I found Mike. After wasting money on two other trainers my husband and I weren't sure what the next step for our dog would be. After tons of research, I found Bully's Behaven and sending Baxter to the 2 week board and train was the best decision we made. At first, I didn't know how I could possibly leave him for 2 weeks,but I knew he needed help. When we picked him up, you can tell he was already a different dog. Mike spent a lot of time with us and showed us the proper way to do things to be successful. My husband and I know that we were the majority of the problem because our dog basically owned us and we did everything you are not supposed to.
