They were kind, funny, and very helpful. They took us on a great relaxing ride and by the end of it I felt like an experienced rider! The horses were beautiful and very easy to ride. They fit us for our size compared to their horses before and gave us instructions and information on how to ride and deal with the horses. They gave us a water bottle for our trip too. The trail was beautiful and scenic and it was nice to pet and love on the horse too. Plenty of photo ops and Rick stopped and took photos for us on the horses! I would absolutely recommend Cave Creek Outfitters for a beautiful ride in the Tonto Forest. Thank you guys!!

The team here is absolutely outstanding. The cooks, Jesse and her husband Jeff, made every meal feel like it came straight from a family kitchen--comforting, delicious, and made with care. And the wranglers, Wendall and Ritch, were simply the best I've ever had the pleasure of riding with. Their knowledge, patience, and humor made every ride unforgettable, and Wendall's personality in particular was a highlight of the entire stay. Being tucked away in Wickenburg--the roping capital--meant that daily roping competitions were part of the experience, adding excitement and authentic cowboy culture to each day. Funfetti & chocolate cupcakes, white cake, & carrot cake were the dessert options. There was dancing, cornhole to play, S'mores to make, and a log coaster branding station. Located just outside Prescott, JWR boasts acres of beautiful countryside with accommodation types ranging from quaint, but fully equipped cabins, to more adventurous options, like a yurt and a safari tent. Guests can bring their own food, or plan to drive back to Prescott for meals (definitely not as convenient!). Plenty of linens and blankets are provided. Guests staying in the adventurous accommodations can use the 2 half bathrooms (sink and toilet) in the office building; there is also one full bathroom with a gorgeous shower in the new "Santa Fe" building. My women's retreat took over the entire property both times I visited and it was great fun to visit with the animals (horses, goats, cats, peacock!) and enjoy nature. I have stayed in a teepee and the safari tent, appropriately named the "Hemingway." The safari tent boasts a king size, 4 poster bed which was really comfortable! JWR is available for weddings, retreats, and other large events, as well as for solo guests/families, space permitting.

Wrangler(Jason?) was interesting, polite and since I was the only one on each of the rides we covered a lot of territory. Room was clean and decor was authentic western. Stables and tack room where neat and lodge,dinning rooms where clean. Good signage when you get off the main road to find the office. Fun activities such as Archery, target and skeet shooting, swimming,games , cattle and cards. No TV which is refreshing. This way you get to really talk to guest and staff or not. Cool town of Wickenburg 10 minutes away. Happy hour everyday at the ranch before dinner with nice cheeses and food. Come here for the riding cuz it's some of the best especially after a good rain.

This place was perfect. Our reservation came with one activity per day. We went shooting clay pigeons the first afternoon and then horseback riding the next day. The ride was 2 hours long and our guide Ky was very friendly and informative. Our reservation also came with breakfast each day. The food was excellent. There is a pool and hot tub also. We used the hot tub after a long day of riding and golfing. It was wonderful. Would stay here again for sure.
