Oh my goodness. I knew it would be nice, but it's Ritz Carlton nice. Yes, there is construction to upgrade some cabins, but there are several completed and they are spectacular. The fit and finish in our cabin is truly top notch. They thought of every little detail including great instructions on how to operate everything in the room. Our breakfast was incredible. And the creek, the surrounding red rocks, the grounds, the ponds and waterfalls. Wow. I suspect that when the other cabin upgrades are done, and additional amenities are added, this place will be THE resort of the Sedona area. Oh, and it's the perfect place to disconnect a bit. So tranquil and relaxing. We will stay there again...and we live here in Sedona! read more

Really liked this place until..... Menu needs to be updated. Would make sense to have a "bar" menu. The food is hit or miss. Brought some family in from Phoenix, party of 6, for lunch, bill over $200. Not a big deal, but food was not impressive to our guests. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes not. Chef Damon is a fun character and we appreciate his energy, not sure he cooks much. Chili needs seasoning, patty melt was mushy, burgers inconsistent, appetizers are not appealing. Understand catering to the old "regulars" but to grow the business, need new customers and food that does not tast like Luby's cafeteria. Season it a bit. Lately we have noticed the staff looks tired and grumpy. Their attitudes seem rushed and bothered by customers. Oh and now Friday nights have karaoke! Talk about a disruption. Not sure when it began but the past few weekends, what a loud and rowdy group! We like to go outside and enjoy the weather with our cocktail after dinner, not on a Friday night or Saturday night when a certain band plays. The crowd is the same from Friday night to Friday, they take over the game room, can't even play a game of pool, and looks like many are probably over served. With one bathroom for men and one for women, it becomes uncomfortable. Staff tries to do their best, but has created an atmosphere that is not classy nor romantic. Hate to see the classy Cellar turn into a dive place on the weekend. We love most of the entertainment when you can get near them on the patio. The group that takes over the patio when a band called Cecile something? plays is the same from karaoke. They move the tables, they crowd the bars, they seem over served, they make most of us who want to eat outside in the beautiful environment very uncomfortable. We have began to go to Lefty's on the weekends due to the inability to enjoy the Cellar on these days. Sad to say, we have not been back the month of July or August. This is the time we celebrate with out of towners and show this place off. Our company come up for the weekends, we now house them in hotels in Prescott and stay away from the Creek. We have lived in Prescott for several years, have passed by the Creekside Lodge and Cabins many times and have thought about stopping for lunch or dinner. Generally the timing doesn't work but yesterday on a return trip from Tucson it did and we stopped for dinner. I wish we hadn't. Rude, disrespectful and terrible service. Never even got to food so I am only reviewing the former. It was a Friday night and the restaurant had live music which we enjoy. However the musician playing lacked the ability to differentiate the difference between playing in a bar and playing to provide background music for people having dinner. We sat toward the back of the restaurant and the music was so loud that my wife and I couldn't speak to each other. Our waitress came by and I ordered a beer. Again, communication was difficult because of the music however after several back and forths I was able to order. My wife had not decided yet so the waitress left with my order but came back several minutes later and said they were out of that brand of beer. I ordered a different brand which came out after about 5 minutes. My wife didn't get a chance to order. After about another 5 minutes my wife and I decided the music was so unbearably loud that we would move to the back bar area to have dinner. Our waitress had not come back again so we picked up our things and moved to the back bar. We asked the person at the hostess stand to let our server know. The back bar area was nice. Another couple was in there and while we could still enjoy the music, the volume was at a level where we could talk to each other. Our waitress came in and told us the bartender would handle our order. Not a problem. After another 5 or so minutes the bartender came in, took an order from the other customers and left. By this time we had been in the restaurant about 25 minutes, I was nearly done with my first beer and my wife had not had a chance to order. I realize it was a Friday night but this was a bit ridiculous. Another couple came into the backbar and sat down. The bartender came in, walked up to the new customers and started to take their order. My wife looked over and said "Excuse me, we were here first and have been here awhile, I'd like to order a drink". The bartender looked at us and she said "I am taking their drink order. I'll get to you." At this point I had enough. I took some cash from my wallet, got up and said "How much is the beer? We are leaving." The bartender looked at me and said "I don 't know, it depends on the beer." I walked over with cash and she looked at me and said "Sit down, and show some respect." I put the cash on the table and we walked out. I can't recall a time when I have been treated so rudely in a bar by the wait staff. What this young lady tending bar doesn't seem to understand is if you want to be treated with "respect" you need to show some; particularly if you work in the service industry. My wife and I went down the road about another 6 miles to Leff-T's, a restaurant we had been to before. We had a nice dinner, the service was great for a busy Friday night. Our waitress was friendly and nice. I will never give Creekside another try and have already passed on to a local friend our bad experience. I am glad some people have had positive experiences here but based on the reviews the place seems inconsistent. That being said, if you give this place your business, you are taking your chances. We booked a cowboy cabin last Dec 27, 2022 and were disappointed with our room. The room hasn't been dusted for awhile, the tub was dirty and old. The bed were sagging with the old box springs showing.The pillows were tattered and feels really cheap. There was no table to use to eat your dinner. There was one side table in the middle of our 2 beds and a lamp on it that's taking up most of the space so there's not much space for your eyeglasses, cup of water or phone. The balcony has a nice view overlooking the creek although there was no water flowing when we were there but that's alright. There was a cigarette butt on the ash tray that was still there. The internet and phone wasn't working at the time, but even if it was, it was only showing 1 bar on my phone so the signal was probably not going to be good. We almost left that night but the lady on the front desk was nice to transfer us to another room. We got transferred to Santa Fe room which was better. The tub got replaced with a table and two chairs. The bed was better, and box springs were newer. Pillows were still the same. Also, still one side table between two beds with lamp taking up most space. The balcony was better, looks renovated. Breakfast was alright, bagels, cereal, orange juice, bottled water, milk. We had to ask somebody to refill the milk and they ran out of cream cheese which we didn't really mind but small things like these reflects how well the management is doing. Seems like someone should be in charge of these amenities that they offer considering the cost of stay we paid. Overall, we're not happy with our stay and would not be coming back again. read more

Hubby and I always drive by and never stop. This time we did! We walked around the grounds took photos and then walked in. The awesome man at the front desk asked if we had been here before and would we like to see a cabin. So he handed us a key and said have fun! we were surprised he didn't ask for ID or anything... We walked down the path to the cabin..it was nice and opened up to king size bed and an awesome RED heart shaped Hot-Tub and fireplace!!! Wow!! Impressive for a small cabin in the desert! It also had a small screened in porch overlooking the cute creek, so pretty and serene!! It was the perfect time to be there! We came back for anniversary!! They remembered us and were treated like long lost family!! We loved it....and now our friends love it too!! read more

Second time trying this place. I ordered the salmon. Overcooked and very dry. I also ordered a baked potato and the seasonal vegetables. Maybe I expected too much for seasonal vegetables. Something maybe like fresh zucchini and yellow squash? But no. What I got was a frozen mixture of boiled over cooked broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Clearly these vegetables were not seasonal and completely void of any seasoning just poured out of a bag and cooked in boiling water till they lost all resemblance of what they once were. The rolls were those cheap brown and serve type rolls that were served cold. The potato was the best part but we had to ask for butter and sour cream. I won't be going back a third time/. read more

Got to sneak away to creekside lodge a few weeks ago. Absolutely beautiful place the new owner has done a wonderful job of remodeling and making this place a perfect romantic getaway. We stayed in a cowboy cabin with a heart shaped jacuzzi right next to the bed. Our cabin had its own water heater so the jacuzzi tub and shower were both amazing. The bed was comfortable and the cabin had a great feel to it. It was nice to relax and feel 'normal'. The lodge also has a restaurant and bar downstairs from the main lodge. The owner John was running around serving guests and taking care of everyone. He was very friendly and we could tell he took pride in his establishment. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to the creekside lodge and we highly recommend it to our friends and family. We did a tour of Arcosanti and lunch was calling our name. Creekside Lodge and Cabins was close and open for lunch--What a great choice. The dining room is rustic and in cooler weather has a fabulous patio that looks out onto the creek. We had a great lunch--I did a BLT on toasted rye with well done french fries--It was a great lunch--anybody that can do french fries well--has my attention. Staff were fabulous--attentive and kind--such a rare commodity these days. Prices are reasonable--I will definitely be back. On another note--the rest of the property looks very nice--and they have live music on the weekends--so if you are looking for a getaway--definitely consider Creekside Lodge and Cabins--you can just settle in for the weekend and enjoy the stars in the sky. read more

My wife and I just walked out from the Valentines Day Special Steak and Crab Legs. We sat down to a 25% capacity, watched 4 other couples sit down and get their $50 specials while we sat there... hearing twice yours is coming. 2 Medium rare fillets cook faster than any T-Bone steak. After telling the only competent person working ( the bar tender ) I was pissed and done I got nothing. Not even a "let me make it right" , "sit down and it will be there in 5 minutes" or even "we'll comp a meal. I've worked in the service industry myself for years and own my own business in Prescott. If I make a mistake- I make it right. You know why? It's the right and ethically responsible thing to do because I care about everyone's experience. We have been eating at least once a month at this Beautiful hidden Gem since June 2023. However, we have noticed a decline in the food; especially the breakfast. I think they are reheating items such as the hash browns. I could barely eat them in our last visit for breakfast. My husband didn't want me to complain & send them back, but I should have bcuz that is the only way the Chef will get the hint. He/she should not compromise on quality. This place is incredible. First time here and I plan on coming back soon. The wifey and I drove up from Phoenix with the fam and friends and the whole experience was great. The rooms are newly renovated along with the whole property. Favorite part by far was the food. The Western Burger was insane. My good buddy had a steak and loved it. Not to mention the staff was as friendly as they come. The owner even checked in on us. You could tell he takes great pride in his business and you can understand why. After walking around the property and seeing the wedding venue spots, I could definitely see this place being an awesome spot for a wedding weekend. We stayed for New Year's Eve and it was amazing. Very friendly front desk staff! Super accommodating and helpful. This hotel has new ownership and they genuinely care about their guests stay. The room itself was very cute and cozy! The fireplace kept the room nice and warm all night. We were planning on staying up all night but we laid on the bed for 10 minutes and both passed out lol. Comfiest bed we've ever had at any hotel we've stayed at, even top star hotels. We love the decor, had old western charm. And the hot tub was great! We opened the window to let the cold snowy air in and it was perfect. Everything was fantastic and we will definitely visit again as well as their Oregon location. Delightful place! And don't be fooled by the proximity to the highway: the rooms are super-quiet, and very comfortable. The heart-shaped hot tubs in some of the rooms might seem ridiculous, but actually add to the funky charm of the decor. Everything - rooms lobby lounge, bar, restaurant - are meticulously clean. The bar and restaurant are clearly quite popular with the locals, who in turn are very friendly to guests coming in from elsewhere. Food is exactly what one would expect at a roadhouse resort and very much on theme - including serious burgers, bacon potato skins and great fries. The surprise though was that they also offered a really tasty caprese salad that would have held its own in foodie Silicon Valley. read more

My wife and I eat here Thursday night and within 30 minutes of getting home I became sick with vomiting, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing. Lasted all night long and into Friday evening. A group of us were in Pine Flat looking at some land to purchase and made the decision to stop in nearby Mayer and grab lunch. We spoke to the locals (near the land we were looking at) and the recommended Creekside. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly person making up one of the conference rooms in the main lodge area. We were seated promptly and drink orders were taken on the spot. We order wings, potato skins and a "sampler" plate as appetizers. It took about 10 minutes or so for the appetizers (maybe just aa tad longer) but they were great. You could tell most, if not all, was prepared fresh and not from a frozen box. We all ordered various items from a mushroom/Swiss cheese burger to a veggie burger to a few other items. At the end all the food was gone and everyone was happy. I plan on stopping by for the dinner (I'm betting it's even better than lunch) when we are in the area again soon. Afterward we were greeted by the owner, John, and given a quick tour of the cabins and other areas of the lodge. He is very hospitable and it's clear he loves what he does! I'd highly recommend stopping by and trying it out before you hit all the chain restaurants in Prescott Valley. read more

Don't Eat Here. My wife, I and two friends came here Friday April 29th and got the worst meals of our lives. At least my wife and our two friends did. My half rack of ribs were very good. But, the Fish and Chips special was a different story. Three pieces of fish for $13.99 should be he of the highest quality. Each piece was about two inches square. It would take all three pieces to equal what you would get at any other restaurant. Plus, the fish was overcooked as well as the French fries. The fries were very skinny and should have been cooked less than normal fries. We could have ordered all you could eat fish for $15.99, but who would want all you could eat of poor quality fish? My friend ordered the salmon that came out under cooked, and in fact was raw. He sent it back asking for a properly cooked piece of fish. Would you believe the second piece was even more raw than the first. What made it more evident that the cook knew nothing of how to properly cook fish, after ordering boneless wings in place of it, they came out later with the sent-back-salmon and said that they refired it. This is not a steak, fish should never be refired. When doing so, the middle may be proper, but the outside will get over-cooked. Such was the case. The salmon had burnt edges. "No thank" was his response, "Just bring me my boneless wings." What a laugh that was. Those were over-cooked and were the size of chicken nuggets, and completely dry inside. We couldn't wait to get out of the place. When the bill came, that was the final straw. My wife's drink was bourbon and 7 and I ordered a bourbon and club soda. The bill read . . . $3.75 for well whiskey each and 50 cents for sprite as well as 50 cents for club soda. I have never heard of such a thing. Normally drinks are billed as a one item per drink. Also, I wanted my baked potato with everything. I realized that it may be billed as "loaded". But they charged $2 for a pinch of bacon crumbs and $1 for a pinch of shredded cheese. Ridiculous!! I was to get two side dishes with my meal. I ordered the baked potato and the mornay mac and cheese. They charged me a $1 for my mornay mac & cheese which such have been free as part of the meal. Needless to say, a tip was not included. This was the first time that I can remember that I didn't leave at least a 15% tip, I would give this only one star and that would be for the ambiance. read more

The best ever peaceful "staycation" place. We love it here .. We drive down from Prescott to enjoy good food , hiking, and sitting by the Creek. Rooms are great , but remember your in nature and will have some buggies .. We had a mini fridge, microwave, heart shaped jacuzzi facing the creek ... Our dogs are in heaven on the king size bed and running the creek ! The food is amazing in the Steakhouse ! They offer live music on some weekends and the back patio is a wonderful place to hang out with a drink. The grounds are renewed and meticulously taken care of. What a nice surprise, big comfy bed, big red heart jaccuzi next to a fireplace! Pictures don't do it justice. You're gonna have to stop by and experience this for yourself.
