Aw this place was very cute. It's very close to Zion and there is a shuttle bus stop right outside the hotel. It's located right in front of a small farm with friendly ducks, goats and a miniature pony. The front desk was very helpful, but the lobby closes at 10pm so there is a number you have to call if you need anything. The pool/jacuzzi also closes at ten. The room was cute and clean, bed was comfy. I would definitely come back here again when I visit Zion again. read more

Absolutely adore this place! My boyfriend and I have stayed here 3 times now. It's conveniently located directly outside Zion and the view from every room is breath taking, not to mention the shuttle to the park is right outside the front parking lot. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely nice to have a fridge and microwave in your room. Pool is clean, a laundry room is available and there are animals ( a few Shetland ponies, goats, ducks and geese) out back to feed! The front desk staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful. Ick. The location is great; the front building looks nice; the guest rooms are pretty gross. First, the front desk staff overcharged us (3 rooms instead of 2), and they had a tough time reversing the charges. But they were nice, overall. Second, the rooms are in serious need of repair and of upgrades. The cloth curtains on the closet need to be ripped down immediately. The bedspread is gross (does anyone use those anymore?). The maroon carpeting is old, worn, and ugly. The balconies look unsafe and could use some new furniture and wood. These seem like relatively easy fixes - take off curtains and bedspreads (no need to add anything), and replace the old carpeting. But if you're just looking for an affordable, convenient place to stay, this is acceptable. It's very close to a bus stop that will take you to the main shuttles for the park. read more

The location is really great, and I like supporting small businesses, but I just can't recommend this hotel. When we arrived to check-in, we found that the front office had closed early so our keys were taped to the door. The room was spacious with all the amenities you would expect of a budget hotel room, and it appeared clean upon checking in. Before checking out, I was moving around the sheets and pillows to make sure I hadn't left anything behind, when I found an old tissue under the pillow. I hadn't used any tissue at all in the room, so it was definitely not mine. Upon checking out, I mentioned this to the front desk staff who were dismissive and unapologetic. I would consider myself among the large percentage of guests who are hikers/outdoor enthusiasts that might have a more relaxed attitude towards cleanliness, but I was pretty grossed out! I'm sorry to leave a negative review-but no one from the staff acknowledged or considered my comments, so I'm writing them here. read more

Dark and dingy hotel making it overpriced for what it is... But it worked for us as a base for our Zion backpacking trip since you can't beat the location. We paid 118$/nt- It would have been a good value at $70-90. PROS: -Location, location, location! Just outside the park entrance and walking distance to all the Springdale shops and restaurants. -Free hot bfast vouchers and huge portions -Mini fridge and microwave CONS: -Very rundown- dirty stained carpets, probably made more acceptable by dim lighting in rooms (intentional?), burned stained bedding and generally a very old dingy feel to the entire motel -Tiny tiny bath towels -Breakfast 7-11a was too late for us the second day -Don't bother trying the wifi! read more

Bumbleberry Inn - Great views of Zion! - Hotels Near Me - Springdale, Utah

The Bumbleberry Inn is the perfect spot to stay when visiting Zion National Park. One of the must underrated aspects of staying here is the breakfast. Each morning, you can enjoy breakfast at Porter's Smokehouse and Grill. Ordering anything from the menu, you can enjoy anything from pancakes to their delicious fruit parfait. The views are spectacular from both the hotel and the restaurant, looking at the cliffs that rise up around the town, leading into Zion N.P. The Bumbleberry Inn accommodations are basic but, you won't be spending much time in your room so it's perfect. The location also can't be beat, being situated in the middle of the "downtown" area, within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store, and even the park entrance (a good little walk). Sidewalks will take you to wherever you'd like to go. There's also a free shuttle that runs throughout the town and up to the park entrance, with one of the shuttle stops being located right in front of the Inn. Side note...make sure you get your Zion NP shuttle passes early though, so you can enjoy as much time as possible in the park. Those passes can be obtained on https://www.recreation.gov/ticket/facility/300016. The passes open up the day before, for the next day, starting at 9am. Last couple things I'd like to add about the Bumbleberry Inn is that they have a DVD collection in the front office, where you can check out up to two movies at a time. They also have a pool and a jacuzzi onsite. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Perfect place to stay!! Apparently, this is located downtown in this already small town and everything is within walking distance, yes, even Zion (even though there are FREE shuttles to and from Zion.) Great restaurants, shops, and everything you need is just literally around the corner or up/ down the street. It was inexpensive to stay but the quality was good. There wasn't a bad room on the property, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery and really awesome people. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, property was well kept, safe, convenient, you get 10% off at the restaurant, and it's home to the world famous bumbleberry pie, you can't beat that!! Oh did I mention, FREE WiFi, not the best but given the fact that they are in the middle of nowhere, it will work. A lot of our time was spent enjoy Zion during the day and exploring the town and shops/ restaurants at night, the only time spent at the motel was to sleep. Not enough outlets, existing outlets not in good location, bathroom outlet bad design. I would suggest bringing a power strip, seriously. Heater is SUPER loud, meaning so uncomfortably loud that you keep it off and sacrifice comfort. I stayed in Dec/Jan so I can't say anything of their AC. (I suspect it's the same unit because it's controlled by the same wall device.) Upon first entering the room, we saw there was a cup of soda with cigarette butts sitting on a table on the balcony/patio. Despite all that, it was still a good experience overall. For the price, it was as I expected. Clean enough, you know. There's a mini fridge, microwave and DVD player in the room. They have DVDs in the lobby you can borrow. The pool and hot tub were closed during the winter. It's very close to Zion park -- so convenient (and you wouldn't even mind driving back between hikes to get gear/clothes/food), and you can walk to the neighboring shops. read more

This place is magical. I love the facility and the location is perfect. The rooms need updating. Service was very good. Our room was spacious and we had a balcony facing the pool and the beautiful canyons. I loved the fountain into the back and the farm where we got to hang out with two ponies and some goats. The highlight of our stay here was the included breakfast at Wildcat Willie's. Walking distance from oscar's cafe and very close to the park. I booked this hotel for my husband, me & our 2 young kids to enjoy our first family vacation to Zion. It is an amazing hotel!!! So nice & clean & comfy, spacious rooms!! Our lil kids could roam around the room and play and by Gods Grace we got a room that has a back view of the animals in the lil farm area in the back. Our kids loved running in the grass and looking at the horses and goats. Also, Porters restaurant has EXCELLENT food and it's the restaurant right in front of the hotel which you as a guest are given FREE breakfast each morning!! Also, the gift shop is huge and awesome with so much fun stuff to look at and buy! Not to mention Zion Park was amazing and so fun! Awesome vacation! We enjoyed our stay at the Bumbleberry Inn. While this place could use a few upgrades, everything was clean and in working order. It was especially nice to come back to a jetted tub after a long hike in the Narrows. Not all rooms are equipped with this amenity, so be sure to ask ahead. They do offer WiFi, but I found it to be intermittent. We were in Zion National Park, so I think going without internet access for a few days wasn't a bad thing. We should all disconnect now and then. The Bumbleberry Inn was totally adequate for what we needed and at a good price point too! read more

I recently stayed at this hotel for an outdoor mother daughter road trip to three National Parks and this was our first stop and it was perfect! It was less than a mile from Zion and the service was great. We were able to have an excellent breakfast everyday across the street at Oscar's Cafe which saved us some money. I preferred staying in Springdale rather than inside the park. Springdale offers more food options and has cute stores and a quaint atmosphere. I highly recommend the Bumbleberry Inn. It's reasonably priced, has a bus stop that takes you directly to the park, it and is an overall enjoyable experience. The view was beautiful too! read more

It's not a bad place to stay for the price (~$60/night). The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. It's also right next to MeMe's Cafe and Sol Foods, which are great. However, I was disappointed in the room that they gave us, which was located right under the stairs on the first floor. Every time someone would walk up or down the stairs we would hear really loud pounding right above our heads. Our room was very yuck. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed. The shower hadn't been cleaned. The main positives are the low prices, compared to other places nearby, and the proximity to the bus (stop right across the parking lot). We also had amazing views right outside our room. And the included breakfast at Wildcat Willies was terrific!!! Huge portions, yummy food, very friendly waitstaff. But I couldn't get past the grossness of the room. The world's 2 dimmest bulbs lit the room's entry area. Everything was so drab and dated. And the room truly wasn't clean. Oh, and we were on the first floor with a sliding glass door that had a dinky lock. No bar for extra security, and the entire lock and handle were held on my 2 screws that attached from the outside. In other words, someone with a screwdriver could have stood outside and removed the lock and inside handle, and then slid the door open. I would pay more and stay elsewhere next time. read more

This is a cute locally owned hotel, staff is very friendly, especially like the free breakfasts at Willies a short walk across parking lot. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away and choice of places to eat within walking distance although I like Willies for dinner - the Cob steak salad was excellent. The hotel could use new carpets but I'm not going to downgrade the rating because everyone was accomodating which made our stay memorable, even the housekeeping staff. Don't forget the gift shop in Willies - it's crazy - i love the bacon t-shirt. There is also a well-stocked outdoors equipment/clothing section of the Willies gift shop. read more

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience on the way to Springdale but our vacation turned out to be one of the best. Our room was clean, overlooking the mountain and the farm. Perfect for me because I just couldn't wait to see the animals! The next day at early AM we went to feed the animals: horses, goats, chickens and ducks. I had fun with them. They loved being petted and very friendly pets *:) The pool is not that big but you don't need a big pool when you want to spend time at Zion National Park. We went to the pool at night time before it closes and witnessed a gorgeous night scenery. Bumbleberry Inn has the best location; there are many restaurants and gift shops right across from it and next to it. It says "home of the famous bumbleberry pie" so we bought some to take home (yummy!) *:)~ The staff were helpful and very nice. The free breakfast was surprisingly unbelievable! Should I say it's not one of those "free breakfast" they give at most hotels. If you read my other review about breakfast, that's a spoiler right there. There is no elevator so you will need to walk up stairs to go to your upper level room, even if your legs are sore from hiking. Your basic Motel 6 type establishment, but independent and privately owned. Rooms are clean and well-kept. However, unlike a Motel 6, you will pay around $180 a night, instead of $60. Apparently Zion NP has more people wanting to visit than the hotels can accommodate. First of all, Zion National Park is one of the best places in the world. No matter where you stay you will be glad you got to experience it. That being said, my girlfriend and I stayed at Bumbleberry Inn for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Two words, COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. It is a great location in the "heart" of Springdale with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is about a mile from the park entrance which is walkable, or you can wait for the shuttle which stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is simple, no frills. It is a good rate for what you get. It is definitely a more homey feel than some of the major chain hotels in the area. If you are looking to experience Zion and need a place to rest your head look no further than Bumbleberry. read more

When I first arrived to Springdale I couldn't find this place, actually passed it twice before I noticed the sign. The place is behind Willies and Zion's Bank and then you proceed towards the back through the parking lot. When I came up to the door there seemed to be closed for the night, funny thing is I thought front desk was in the bathroom or they were busy because while calling from Sol Foods to see if the rooms had a microwave the phone just rang and rang, turns out they close about 8 maybe 9pm and leave the room keys in a closed envelope taped to the front door. I guess its how it's done here. Usually 99 percent of hotels / motels have a front desk person at all times. Once I found the building, only two in the property besides office building I got inside my room and was happy to see that it was rustic but with a new flat TV, microwave and fridge Plenty of parking near the rooms. No one really bothered us and we saw the house keeping in the mornings but always said hello with a smile. I would stay here again because for the price you get a comfortable bed and a clean shower. As for the flat screen there seemed to be a audio demo showing every few mins, other then that all was fine. read more

The price was a little higher than I would've expected but it is 1 mile from the park with free shuttle access !! They have free movies you can borrow at the front which was awesome ! Do not stay here if you have a family of five! I chose this hotel because it said it could accommodate a family of five. I was charged $90 for the fifth person, which sounded reasonable, until I went to check in. The woman who checked me in informed me that there was no guarantee that there would be a rollaway bed available for the fifth person, even though I booked a year ago AND paid the extra $90 (she said it was in the fine print, which she couldn't even find). There just so happened to be one rollaway bed available for an additional $11 per night (even though I had already paid the $90 for the extra person). It seems a little sneaky if you ask me. We had a short time for vacation and couldn't find rooms. We had stayed here a few years ago, so I called the hotel directly. Amberae listened to my needs and managed to reserve 2 adjoining rooms! The rooms are clean and quiet. The view of the mountains from the back of the hotel is wonderful. Last time we stayed in the 100's building, which is older and noisier. This time we stayed in the 200's, which is newer and quieter. They were almost done adding a 300's building, so that's where we'll stay next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Amberae and Tyler at the desk answered questions and made sure our stay was good. Lisa in housekeeping made sure our needs were met, and took time to learn about the family. A shuttle to Zion stops in front of the hotel, so we never had to drive. Breakfast was included in the price. We had access to the full menu at the restaurant on the hotel grounds.
