I went to several stores trying to match an unusual blue green fabric for a quilt. In every store there was nothing, and the store employees told me that's going to be a hard one to match. I already knew that. However, as I was looking at the blue green solids at Specialty Quilts, and was still unable to find one that matched, one of the great ladies came up and said they could custom order just about anything. She pulled out a Bella color card, with actual fabric samples, not just printed colors. After we found one, she was even so kind as to take it to the door so we could check the color match in sunlight. Their hours to make it difficult for me to get there, except on Saturdays, but it is totally worth it, and worth the drive. They also have tons of quilts everywhere, to get ideas, and see the fabrics in use. The store is full and has lots of patterns, notions, and also an amazing amount of fabric. Of course. :-)

Slackers is a hit and miss, as many stores can be. I've walked out thinking I've got the best deal over on a game or cd, and I've picked up a cd and saw the $60 price tag for Pearl Jam bootleg I found on eBay for $12. I guess it's for the people who have never gotten online. This store has a cool staff, most of them love what they do. I just found it to be pricey too many times.
