The drinks on the menu are pretty fancy, they have their own unique names, and they have a large variety of their drinks too. The drinks include things from the classics to even hot alcoholic beverages. Took them a while to clean it to be quite honest. I just didn't feel like they were doing a good job of busing and cleaning tables when people were emptying. Our table had been bussed but not cleaned and I know it had been sitting there for at least five minutes cause I watched it. Once we got seated, again felt the service was pretty slow. Took a long time for the guy to take our drink order and he walked by the table multiple times. Then when he finally did take the drug order, took a really long time to get drinks. In general, our server was just not very efficient. This occurred throughout the entire meal and often had to ask for things multiple times. For example, when I wanted to get another beer, it took almost 10 minutes. In that time he came to the table twice and on the third time, I finally said, did you get that beer for me and he had totally forgotten evidently. That was a fourth time he had forgotten something that was ordered. When we did actually get food and drinks, the food itself was very very good. The walleye cakes were excellent. My pasta was well cooked and had great flavor. The carrot cake martini was very interesting but definitely tasted like a carrot cake. I think they just need to work on their service, a lot. The quality of the food and the quality of the restaurant deserves much better servers.

PARKING: There's plenty of parking all around the building. APPEARANCE: Beautiful exterior with nice brickwork. The interior is relaxing. GENERAL: The rooms are comfortable. Includes kitchen necessities; medium-sized refrigerator, stove top, microwave, and the cabinets have plates, bowls and cups. There's also pots, pans and silverware. The bed was plush. I quickly fell asleep each night. I'm sure the hot bedtime showers helped. The water temperature stayed consistent and had adequate pressure. There was also a desk where I did some work from my laptop using their Wi-Fi. A continental breakfast was served each morning. This was one of the best I've had. Sometimes they even provide a complimentary dinner. Next time I'll use their fitness room and spa. BOTTOMLINE: I can see why people stay here long term. I'll be back.

On August 26, I returned to the hotel around 3:00 PM and found my room door propped open. No one was inside. About five minutes later, a TV repair technician arrived and said he was almost finished. There was no hotel staff escorting him, and no one verified my room or ensured it was secured afterward. Leaving an unoccupied guest room open and unattended is completely unacceptable and creates a serious risk to a guest's belongings and safety. I reported the situation to the front desk and was told the General Manager would follow up with me. The GM never contacted me. Given the seriousness of the issue, the lack of follow-up was extremely disappointing. The condition of the room was also well below expectations. The AC struggled and repeatedly shut off during the night, forcing me to get up to reset it and resulting in very little sleep. The carpet was badly damaged, with chunks missing, the wood flooring was cracked, the room looked dingy and run down, and the shower had very poor water pressure. I also considered using the pool but decided against it because the water appeared green and dirty. There were some positives: the breakfast and happy-hour staff were fantastic, and the food was excellent. Those ladies deserve recognition for their great service. This was my third stay at this property, and unfortunately it will be my last. The combination of the room condition, security concerns, and lack of management response has completely eroded my confidence in this hotel. I hope IHG and hotel management take these concerns seriously and address them.
