Was staying at the Olive Van for work trip. Decided to do dinner at the hotel restaurant…read more Place is very nice although when we first walked in, we chose a bar top table and it was filthy. Took them a while to clean it to be quite honest. I just didn't feel like they were doing a good job of busing and cleaning tables when people were emptying. Our table had been bussed but not cleaned and I know it had been sitting there for at least five minutes cause I watched it. Once we got seated, again felt the service was pretty slow. Took a long time for the guy to take our drink order and he walked by the table multiple times. Then when he finally did take the drug order, took a really long time to get drinks. In general, our server was just not very efficient. This occurred throughout the entire meal and often had to ask for things multiple times. For example, when I wanted to get another beer, it took almost 10 minutes. In that time he came to the table twice and on the third time, I finally said, did you get that beer for me and he had totally forgotten evidently. That was a fourth time he had forgotten something that was ordered. When we did actually get food and drinks, the food itself was very very good. The walleye cakes were excellent. My pasta was well cooked and had great flavor. The carrot cake martini was very interesting but definitely tasted like a carrot cake. I think they just need to work on their service, a lot. The quality of the food and the quality of the restaurant deserves much better servers.

It also looks like you can order delivery as well. I would def go again next time I'm in town. If you bring kids there are a few arcade games to play while you wait your turn if you show up early. Suggestions- Call ahead for a reservation. Also, not sure if they rent clubs but that would a good idea for people like me that don't own any. Since I was with family we shared the ones they had. I also think a nice addition would either be on the floor against the walls is a calibrated feet converted so you knew how hard to putt the ball. Especially for newbies. Moose Out

Truly a premium experience -- especially when you're constantly reminded about the very serious no-food policy. I guess when you're charging that much per hour, the last thing you'd want is someone ruining the vibe with a granola bar or a sip of Gatorade. Heaven forbid an athlete fueling themselves while swinging a club. The strict rule enforcement really adds to the atmosphere too. It's nice to know someone is always watching to make sure no crumbs threaten the integrity of the facility. If you enjoy expensive tee times, a strong anti-snack stance, and the feeling that your protein bar might get you escorted out, this is definitely the place for you.

Great place to stay, especially if you're traveling on the "gov rate". These are indeed suites,…read morethey have a mini kitchen with a full size dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There is a small couch, desk, dresser, two side table and (of course) the bed. The closet has space for hanging clothes, three half shelf's and a full length shelf across the very top. Amenities are nice; pool, small gym, jacuzzi, and laundry. The hotel has a breakfast buffet each day, and on Monday thru Wednesday they have a social hour with beer, wine, and snacks. The lobby, elevators, common area carpets and walls look great. The staff are incredibly nice and were more than helpful in telling me about places to see and eat at. The room I had was very nice, clean and comfortable. It has a thermostat I could control to make the room more comfortable. If you have a critical eye, the room was showing a little wear. The vinyl flooring in the kitchen and the ceiling in the shower had some slight water damage. The desk chair was shedding its top layer of fabric, and the ottomans had seen their fair share of use. Overall great experience and I would come back again. I love the Amenities offered here to guests, and the staff are very nice.

I have no real complaints other than the thin walls. I could hear the next door room snoring incredibly loud. They offer a lot of amenities such as dinner, wine and beer in the evening and breakfast. The breakfast was kinda garbage but it was free. Basically some bagels, fruit, oatmeal and odd omelets. They rotate bacon or sausage every other day. The pool area was nice and it remained open until 11. The hottub was actually hot as well. Overall it's not a bad spot to stay the night. They have kitchenettes in the rooms and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. Try to get a top floor room though.
