I had back surgery and ended up worse. I was then told I need surgery again to put in a rod and fusion.

I have been there before and I should have known not to go back but I really needed to be seen quickly. The last time I went there I had a tumor growing on my eyelid and they messed around with me and wasted precious time! This time I saw Dr. Wells and she was more interested in telling me about her upcoming trip to D.C. than she was in listening to my health concerns. She told me that I would need to wait until she returned before she could do a biopsy to find out if I have psoriasis or not or that she would be able to go ahead and give me a prescription of shampoo to try until I came back in a month later. She said that if I started with the shampoo, then I would need to stop before the biopsy because it would have an effect on the biopsy results. I took the prescription but did not get it filled because she scared me away from starting any medication. After talking this over and doing my own research, I decided to get a 2nd opinion and luckily found another dermatologist who was willing to schedule me the next week. This dermatologist said that I didn't need a biopsy and that I clearly had psoriasis. She started me on an oral medication and provided me several prescriptions for itching in my ears, the shampoo, and the medication that you leave on your scalp. The dermatologist that I got the 2nd opinion from was very caring and I will be leaving a 5 star review for her after I finish writing this. Please don't go to this office if you are expecting someone who cares because you won't get it. Go to another office! Needless to say, even though this office is very convenient to my location, I called them back to say I would not be returning.

They test later than the one in Grovetown and we were happy to hear that. They allowed me to wait in the car with my daughter and called us for the test and then again when the room was ready. The doctor was patient and didn't rush examining my daughter. Only reason for not 5 stars is because they took her temp under her armpit and claimed she had no fever and was reading normal. I got her home and my wife checked and it was 99.5 so while not 101, it's still elevated. If anything, I'd come back here again.

Many friends recommended MedNow so I drove out of my way to go there just for them to be closed because of the holiday. They need to have a specialized voicemail indicating they're closed (they have a generic one that doesn't indicate if they are closed at the moment or just busy/not answering) so I did call and didn't talk to a person, and Google said they were open, so they also need to update Google hours for holidays. I'm not sure I'll ever make that drive again when there are closer options for me that had better communication about their holiday hours. I'm sure MedNow offers good care but I unfortunately didn't get to experience it and it was such an annoying situation I don't plan to try them again.

Today's consult with a healthcare worker went downhill. And, I'm saddened because I have worked with another doctor/surgeon at this practice, and I'm shocked that this transaction occurred here. The surgeon (and he made sure to refer to himself in that title several times during his grandeur monologue) did not wear a mask. Second, I hate when doctors and staff confuse being 'straight forward' with just being mean. There is a difference. There is way to provide information without the condescending option. This surgeon only had 2 methods of delivery: high-handed or talk over you. He didn't care about the person. He asked 2 questions, and the rest of the visit was nothing but assumptions about our lifestyle. The concern is that if you are unapproachable and make these assumptions in the consult, can you imagine how difficult it will be pre- and post-surgery? But, as you advised twice in your monologue, 'it doesn't matter to you.' Right--we got that distinction when you walked into the room without a mask. Do better! Stop assuming and take the time to ask more than 2 questions before launching into a glorified speech about your opinions. And wear a mask!
