I learned the hard way, that's how they get so much clientele. I don't want to make this post about that, but considering Dr. Chen is one of the rare doctors that obviously doesn't do this, it shouldn't go unsaid. Dr. Chen has taken care of me for 2 years. he revised a botched facelift I had and I needed several tweaks after, which he refused to charge me for. His staff could not be more kind. Britani, his office manager, has talked with me and has an ability to understand his clients on an emotional level. I know his level of care is genuine and he is an honest man, I have witnessed it first hand. In the plastic surgery world, it is rare. Because his office was 3 hours away, I had to spend the night near his facility after my revision. HOWEVER, he literally came to our hotel the next day to care for me there so that I didn't have to go into the office. I would recommend him on merit alone, but he also wants to get his work right and will tweak it if necessary without making you feel like a burden and without charging you through the nose for it.

God somehow directed a customer who came into my salon and highly recommend Dr Chen and after a thorough consult I decided on Dr Chen not only because his expertise but that he genuinely believes in customer satisfaction and if something were to go wrong he would try his best to achieve that result and not tell me the reason my nose was crooked was because my face was crooked as my previous Dr. Claimed. Dr chen and his staff were by my side throughout the whole experience not once did they leave my side and not once did they not answer my calls. It took him 4 1/2 hrs to fix the mess of a nose that I came in with and when I woke up the nurses had already helped me put back the rest of my clothing on. My surgery took 5 hours mostly due to complications having to undue and fix scar tissue along with permeant sutures that never should have been there done by the work of a pervious different plastic surgeon (who's no longer practicing) who I trusted and botched my face 4 years prior in North Carolina. Thanks to Dr. Medina for the first time in my life, I feel normal. Prior to coming to him, I had gone to two other recommended plastic surgeons in the local CSRA area who both told me after consulting that they didn't feel comfortable touching my case and I turned away! When I had lost all hope Dr. Medina was willing to help me. He defiantly cares about his patients but in the most respectful way was brutally honest with me from the start about was realistically achievable. (Which I appreciated) Setting realistic yet clear expectations based on my unusual condition. He told me it most likely won't t be a homerun, but he could make it better, most likely 3rd base. After a year post op I think he hit a home run! You hear of botched plastic surgery and think that only happens outside the United States. That's just not the case. If you're someone remotely even considering getting any work done, especially to your face! I can't recommend enough to have it done by Dr. Medina. His level of patient care, honesty and expertise is unmatched. He ensures his work is as perfect as it can be. After my 6 months post op appointment I still had notch of tissue that hasn't disappeared near my incision and was visible (that was done from the 1st surgery) and was able to remove it locally in office. He has such a calm, kind presence and truly takes the time to listen. His confidence and knowledge immediately made me feel safe and cared for, and I could tell right away that I was in the best hands possible. Even when the office was short-staffed, the level of care never changed -- if anything, it showed just how dedicated they are to their patients. Everyone was still so kind, attentive, and professional. Taylor deserves the biggest thank-you. She was with me through every step, always patient, understanding, and reassuring. She made sure I had everything I needed, and she genuinely cared about how I was feeling through the whole process. Her warmth and compassion made such a difference. The aftercare was amazing, too. Yesterday I went to Southern Vanity in order to receive my Botox shots. I was advised that the…read moreBotox was on 'back order' when the PA finally got to me in the room and if that was known to me when I first checked in, I would have waited for it to come in. So, I was giving the alternative to try jeuveau. I should have known better because of how I was asking the PA questions and she was very skeptical and hesitant with her answers that I should not have done it. But I tried it anyway thinking maybe it could be better. Afterwards, I talked to my sister who stated that it sounded really weird that Botox, of all things, would be on "backorder" and that she felt that I was pretty much bamboozled by them trying to push a new product because of the almighty dollar. As soon as she said it, I felt the same!! I was also told this was going to work faster than even the Botox. And it has done absolutely nothing!! I was able to see results within hours from Botox but not with this stuff. Nothing!! I don't suggest it. I'm 50 and only do Botox for the crease between my eyes. So, I have lost out on $165 for something that was suggested by the PA with her not even really knowing the effects of it because she even said she hasn't used it and that one's on me. Lesson learned. 3 stars bc I seriously feel now that I was nothing but a simple sale and now I'm stuck for 3 months of not being able to actually get Botox. Needless to say, the crease between my eyes seems to be more pissed off at this point. Maria, medical assistant, is awesomeness though!!! So 5 STARS for her!!!
