If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is awful, from the owners to the snobby sales clerks. First off, their clothing is all made in China. They will all fall apart after 1 wash! My husband and I came here stopped in here last week when we were in town to celebrate the New Year, and we happened to be in the Jackson Square area exploring and I have been collecting Pandora charms for awhile. When I worked at a Pandora store in Chicago several years ago, I was made aware that every city has their exclusive charms, and I knew I needed a New Orleans one. The sales associate with red hair (she never gave me her name) who helped us was really sweet, it didn't take long for her to notice that I needed some help, and she even left the charms out for me to look/touch while she went to grab her glasses. I can appreciate her for trusting that I wouldn't walk right out the store with the product, and the one charm that caught my eye was the Cathedral with a blue backdrop. She was sweet to explain to us that the cathedral is right around the corner just walking distance from the shop, and we actually saw it right by Jackson Square on our way to Bungalows. I love how this is a boutique but they also carry so many different brands of jewelry (Alex & Ani, Brighton, etc), and they had a designated Pandora section that's visible right when you enter. I wanted an addition to my Pandora bracelet that represented NOLA. After doing a little research on Yelp I discovered Bungalows, and quickly bookmarked. Upon arriving to the Big Easy I made a call to Bungalow to verify they had charms that were a part of the New Orleans culture in stock. The voice on the other end of the phone was not only warm and friendly, but she advised they had a few to choose from. Bungalow is a quaint and cute gift shop. They have all sorts of knick knacks, and an area in the rear of the store dedicated to Pandora. Not only did I find the perfect charm, but I purchased a few other items as well. Totally stumbled upon this store by accident while visiting the new swanky Dirty Coast location, and I'm head over heels for this quirky yet refined shop. It really has something for everyone. Uptown mom that loves Brighton, Pandora, Vera Bradley, and furs, covered. Quirky sister (pointing at myself) who loves a good pun, oodles of stuff to buy me..er, I mean her. Thrifty other sister (still pointing at me, y'all)? Many of their racks were at 50% off with styles that were incredibly unique. Gifts for that guy in your life? They gotcha, baby! The staff was also super wonderful at directing me towards the sales items, and at checkout, and were never French Quarter pushy about sales. For locals, I've actually had a pretty easy time meter-parking in this area. I would say if you're just starting your shopping or want to knock out presents for the rest of the year from host gifts to the holidays, this is a great spot! read more

My daughter was an extra in the Universal movie Girl Trip - and it was being filmed in New Orleans / French Quarters. My mother and I stumbled upon this place to buy her some extra outfits for filming. The clothes are super cute - stylish, and very reasonable. The jewelry is THE BEST! I wanted everything they had. Cute gift ideas too! I loved the entire shop, and will shop on-line until I am in New Orleans again. The salesgirl Adrian was a DOLL! She was very helpful. She knew her stuff. She only saw a picture of my daughter and knew how to dress her from head to toe. And one of the dresses we picked out will hopefully make the cut in the movie. Great job Adrian!! Found this cute tourist shop that carries Tyler Candle Co Glam Wash and as I live and work in the F.Quarter decided to check them out. Just an ok experience. Small selection, dusty inventory but happy with the close find of what I needed overall. Only feedback I have is a sign for the fitting room/bathroom that says fitting room/ no public restroom. As I was making my selections the sales lady led a guest into the "fitting room", after a short time my friend and I heard a toilet flush. We discovered it was in fact a restroom and changing room and once the lady emerged my friend went in and emptied her bladder after which I went in and attempted to do the same. The sales lady materialized outside the door asking me if I was trying on (which I was not) and asked me to step out. "No Public Restroom" she said. As I'd already purchased from this "no refund, no return" establishment I was dismayed to this treatment but can respect their policies. She was very abrupt and did not at all create a guest experience. Won't be returning or recommending. Luckily they're in the FQ so business will continue... hopefully the lackluster customer service will not. read more

Our tourist shopping adventures brought us into this store with their beautiful widow display! We had to back up and come in! They had beautiful flowing dresses, tops, jewelry, sweaters, etc. They had the comfy/bohemian look covered in this store! I opted for a beautiful gray/silver oversized dressy sweater with button detail on the side. I didn't try it on and just bought it with a $70 some dollar price tag. I thought it was a bit steep for a single sweater but, it fit well and looked amazing. My only regrets at the time were that I didn't buy it in multiple colors and that it snags really easy. I have only worn it twice and it has multiple snags from just day to day wearing. Due to the style and comfort factors of it though, I would probably go back and buy some more items from them! You are definitely paying for shopping in a touristy area here but, of course the retail space is more expensive as well. Supply and demand I guess! read more

My sister and I went here randomly after seeing that they sold pandora charms, upon walking in the was only one worker(Ms.Amy,stylish might i add in her red lol) who was already helping this couple,but she was still very attentive toward us,she put all the charms out so we could see and even a couple of bracelets, but the thing that really made me feel great was when she told us she was going to check the couple out at the front and for us to keep looking , she didn't hesitate not once about leave us back there unsupervised with the charms (if you know why this is a big deal then kudos to you). She is real personable, doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, had great conversation,was super funny,and made some really good suggestions on which charms to buy and also even told us about the little spacer things that go inside some charms to keep them in place on the bracelets. I'd definitely recommend going here to anyone because of our experience with her. I hope whoever the supervisor or owner is of this store reads this and gives her a raise lol hell even a nice bonus and to Ms.Amy thank you for making my sister and I feel super comfortable in the store and many blessings to you! read more

This place had some pretty jewelry. Most notably they had an innovative little fan you plug into your iPhone (my friend pointed them out wondering aloud when would one might use the fan and a woman standing next to her overhead and exclaimed, "you're a lifesaver! I'm going through menopause and the hot flashes are killing me!" I picked up a UV flashlight to find out where the pup is peeing in the house, apparently other people's pups are peeing in their house in the quarter too, lol. read more

I would have given the place a 5 as the staff working there were great. There is a white middle aged manager that will bring this place down. She talks down to the employees, orders them and ruins the air in the place. If this manager working Easter is in the store, I am walking out. I do buy but not from her any longer. I was in New Orleans this past weekend and I lost the bottom part of my stickpin in my room. I was frantic to get a replacement and they are hard to find. I was staying at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel so I walked up to Royal Street and went into the first store I saw which was Bungalows. I ask the young man, Brandon, if they sold the bottom part. Super cute shop with various items someone visiting would want. I went in because this is the only shop in New Orleans that carries Alex and Ani. They also carry Pandora and other eclectic brands. The salesperson who helped us was so friendly and approachable. They close at 6pm so you do have to make sure you get there before then. My friends and I bought several bracelets and received some of the best hospitality the city has to offer. This store is so amazing! It has something for everyone from unique clothes; to jewelry - I purchased an adorable cover up - and found a unique gift for the family! And the staff is sooo helpful! I stumbled across these adorable skull purses and backpacks in awesome teal and pink colors! We have a huge Halloween Party every year - this past was our 19th Annual - I wanted to buy these for all the girls in the family - they store was short a few - but that did not stop Brandon from calling over to the supplies and elsewhere to find them for us! When they all arrived he carefully hand packed them personally shipped them to our home! That's customer service! Brandon is an asset and an amazing person! Thank you! And I will be back! I was in this store, and overheard the owner/manager speaking with a member of the staff. They were speaking quietly at first, but suddenly the older man exclaimed "you want me to pay you your OVERTIME for the first week when you didn't even SHOW UP a day on the second week!?" I was shocked and appalled, not only that this man would even begin to think it's acceptable to have that type of interaction in front of customers, but that he would deny his employees Overtime that they worked. My daughter and I stopped in to look at the clothes. I was disappointed to see they were now trying to copy the look of one of our other favorite Royal Street stores. Do not shop here and use your credit card. Also, don't tell them where you're staying. This is the only place that I used my card and later that day, there were fraudulant charges on my card. It is a very nice store and very nice merchandise. But just be aware. read more
