Visited Bunny's the other night and was honestly overwhelmed at the size of the menu! I decides on an Avalanche with cookie dough. It is their version on a Blizzard and it was full of cookie dough pieces. The vanilla custard was super smooth and creamy. Also be aware I believe they are cash only. read more

Service was great and the environment was chill. Lot of people! The icecream however disappointed me. It says they're frozen custard, but the icecream is more so whipped. Tasted like whipped cream with whatever flavor you get. We got peanut parfait and black cherry in a cone. Super bummed and thought this was going to be amazing!! I've been coming up to Lexington my entire life and really only discovered Bunny's the last few years. The frozen custard is a real treat. My husband longs all year long for his annual visit to get the Hawaiian Whip. The kids cup with sprinkles is adorable, I'll let you be surprised! Everything is great and there is plenty of parking. Super cute location but the custard is very mediocre. The black raspberry flavor tasted like food coloring and fake flavor. Definitely not made with real fruit. The ice cream was served in a styrofoam cup with just a tiny bit of chocolate topping. Very disappointed. I wouldn't go back here and if I did, I would order something that isn't custard. read more

Bunny's has the best frozen custard - classic thick, creamy custard with the best flavor. On my most recent visit I got chocolate custard in a medium waffle cone. Check out my picture - they served me way more custard than I requsted, which was a nice surprise! They have a great selection of concontions and recipies like Almond Joy (with toasted coconut), your standard banana split and yummy shakes, too! This is a cash only place so this is my first big tip. We've been here a few times. My first time ordering I had a hot fudge cream puff. The chocolate wasn't the best and the cream puff was just a mini puff on top. Last time I went I ordered a sundae that had a cookie dough bottom. It was better but the cookie on the bottom was dry and I'm not in love with the type of chocolate they use. read more

If you enjoy eating your ice cream next to a huge pile of garbage, this is the place to go. Seriously Bunny's, we had such high hopes for you! Custard was good, but it's a bit on the pricey side and the portions seemed small. The turtle sundae was the only redeeming thing we ordered. The cashier was not friendly, the rest of the employees seemed like they would rather be anywhere else. The sprinkles on the cone comes when you go out back to their quaint seating area, and realize it's literally right next to their garbage area. Joy. Great place to stop for ice cream as you are traveling through the Thumb Area. They have a good selection of ice cream treats on their menu along with some food items such as nachos and hot dogs. I had a Medium Cookie Dough Arctic which is vanilla ice creams with cookie dough pieces in a styrofoam cup. It was fantastic. Would recommend if your in the area. read more

A long day on the beach deserves some classy frozen custard. It's pretty much a rule of the sea. I went here all the time as a kid. There's not much around here aside from this place, so it's not in walking distance of anything, but it's nice going to a local place for a cone instead of some Dairy Queen. The big plus is that if you're staying at one of the places between Lexington and Port Huron this is a good place to stop without having to go all the way into Port Huron. The place has no interior, it's more of a stand, but there's a lot of benches outside to eat your custard. Make no mistake, this is not ice cream, it's custard. Not too many flavors, but the smoothness of it his the spot. Great place to take the kids after the beach to wind down (because all kids wind down by intaking sugar) and just hang out. read more

We were tooling around taking a day trip along the east side of Michigan. We happened to pass by and couldn't resist stopping for custard. The stand is a little tiny thing off the side of the road, total country charm going on. They have the really thick classic custard, the standard flavors of vanilla and chocolate and they also had a black raspberry on special. We both got smalls and it was plenty for my SO and too much for me to eat. For both of us it was $4... not sure why people are saying that's pricey. I loved the small town charm and the ample seating they had- plenty of adirondack chairs in all sizes for adults and kids. There's only a port o potty to use, but better than nothing. The custard is good, that's it. Portions are small and pricey. DO NOT ask for a lid unless you want to be given the death glare and silent treatment until you slink away with your custard like you should be grateful to them that they served you rather than you being treated like an (over)paying customer. Once in awhile you get one of the teenage workers that might treat you in a friendly way, but otherwise it's Soup Nazi behavior: Shut up, pay your money, take your custard and be on your way.
