I've always been curious about this place and finally decided to give it a shot today. I ordered a pistachio nut custard also with an espresso coffee drizzled in butterscotch on waffle cones. Unfortunately, the coffee espresso ended up spilling, they were kind enough to put it in a bowl with extra butterscotch. Since I had to go through the drive-thru, I didn't get to see inside. The cones were just okay, with no real flavor--they tasted like vanilla, to be honest. I'm not sure if I ordered the right thing, but I do love waffle cones. I'm not planning to come back, unfortunately. I'd suggest trying something else from their large menu. read more

This is one of the best things about port Huron. So many ice cream flavors, and they even have soup in the winter months (the dill pickle is incredible). Everyone is always super nice, and the drive through moves pretty quick. I have never been to the walk up counter, but there are a few picnic tables for you to sit at. read more

You MUST try Jimmies Buster Bars, the creamy vanilla custard with the fudgy nuts on top, middle and bottom of the bar are MUAHHH PERFECT, and all the creamy custard is coated in a hard chocolate shell...MAGNIFICO JIMMIE!!! Ordered a small flurry with chocolate ice cream, Oreo, Heath and snickers added. It's $5.37 before tax and $5.91 after taxes. No receipt tonight. Lady seemed annoyed since we came as they were closing up, though it says 9pm on Yelp. She was a bit nicer once we pulled up to the window. The small flurry is quite big and was overflowing from the cup. They turned off all the lights in and around the patio by 8:02pm. You get a lot for what you pay for here. It's good. read more

So, it's soup time again! I've been dying to try the dill pickle soup, so I scurried over there yesterday. The adirbs gal at the window gave me my quart, but took the extra time to put part of the quart into a bowl so I could have that for my dinner right away. That was over and above the call if duty. The pasties are probably a three, but I'll give four stars because this is a custard joint that sells pasties. This is mostly a review about the pasties. They're some of the only ones available in the thumb and that means something. They aren't the best pasties I've had, but they work. They look like pasties and taste like pasties. I went to the drive thru on Friday and had excellent service. I do not know the name of the young man but he did a fine job. I ordered a mixer (I think that's what it's called) with PB cups and custard and it was good. My son liked his cookie dough mixer as well. It's definitely better than a few months back when I came around close and was told they were closed but go ahead and order anyway. It felt rude so I left and the lady was yelling out the window at me something but I was put off by the attitude. On Friday, so much better. Be it their custard treats or Boston Coolers, I like their desserts. read more

Just popped over to this little joint for a night out with the husband, and I was very surprised by how nasty the older lady at the window was. She was rushing us from the moment we started ordering saying this like, "What's next?!" And "anything else" very rudely and before we could even finish our sentences. On top of that, we requested an item that was on the menu..a root beer float and she told us she couldn't make it. We asked her if she had root beer and she said yes and then we proceeded to ask her if she had a vanilla ice cream...she said yes! Not exactly sure what her issue was with making the item that was on the menu. It wouldn't be a big deal except that she treated us like trash. Hopefully they can improve their employee's behavior because we will definitely not be back to this place if we have to deal with this type of thing. I get an upside down Banana split with light pineapple and light strawberry and extra Banana and they make it perfect every single time. The staff has always been friendly, even with the long lines. I do not know why this has such great reviews. The quality and taste of the custard and the yogurt is far from good. I'm an ice cream fanatic... Ice cream, custard, froyo, sorbet.... I love it all, and am by no means picky when it comes to any of the aforementioned, but the stuff they serve here is not something you could pay me to eat! The kids that work here are rude and very clearly have better things to do. The amount of custard, is ridiculously small. Drive down the street an 1/8 of a mile and get cold stone instead. At least there, you get a good amount for the price you're paying. I'm sorry but I just don't see what the fuss is about this place. Waiting in the always extremely long line, to get poor service, and a small amount of bad custard just isn't my cup of tea.... or ice cream for that matter. read more

Took my 8 year old for a treat and she loves the shakes. This time it was all milk. I sent it back and the awesome lady we always get came out and apologized and said the owner gets on them for being thick. If She wanted a cup of milk I would go buy a gallon of milk from the store which would taste better. I also bought the wife a snickers flurry thing. Love this place! Highly recommend the upside-down banana split with pecans! The staff is always friendly, they have an amazing selection, and the pumpkin pie flurry is amazing (seasonal, though). Outdoor seating with umbrellas, and a few grassy areas the kids love to sit and eat. Located right next to a Little Ceasers, which is great if you want to pick up a pizza as well.
